QUALITY food, this place is new and the food is amazing. The service tends to be mostly good with a few exceptions. The ambiance is where this place lacks, is always hot (im unsure if they have AC issues) and the music tends to be a little loud but the quality of the food makes up for it. Egg Benedict skillet: this was an absolute no. We barely touched it. Steak and potato was not seasoning. No salt or pepper on it. Worse part was it smelled like dog food that I feed my dog. Couldn't stand the smell. The toast was probably the highlight of this dish. Vanilla latte and those Leche latte: tastes like plain coffee with a faint flavor taste. Walking in, we were one of the first patrons for dinner hours and were seated quickly. The ambiance is nice and quiet but quickly became loud as other patrons came in. By 6PM, the dining room was packed. The accent lights at the table are nice touch, though I would personally forgo it as I felt a dimmer atmosphere was more fitting. The cocktail drinks were well made, tasty and filled to the brim. For dinner, we shared the ceviche blanco then ordered the mole enchiladas and carne asada y camaron. The ceviche blanco was excellent; light, and flavorful. The mole enchiladas were spectacular and the carne asada made just right. The food had a good variety of textures, flavor and spiciness to stay interesting. Overall, this an excellent date night or dinner location, though it can get pricey. Sauce tasted like a can of Campbell's cream of chicken mixed with seasoning. First server that came over argued with me that the UNMELTED CHEESE was a piece of chicken. Second server offered a free dessert which we politely declined. Just needed the back of the house to know that they're dangerously undercooking and could potentially give someone food poisoning. Beans and rice were cold as if they came out of the fridge and sat out for an hour. We didn't take those home. I took the leftover enchiladas home and want to try to bake them or pan sauté them to see what flavors are released and enhanced with the proper temp. Be careful coming here. Beware of Deposit Scam & Unprofessional Management Made a reservation for 7 for an early Mother's Day dinner and was told to leave a $140 credit card deposit to secure the table -- even though the restaurant was nearly empty at 6:30 PM on a Friday night. When it came time to pay, we told our server (Michel G) about the deposit. She insisted it would "fall off" and refused to apply it to the bill, even after we showed our credit card charge pending. Well, it didn't fall off -- it cleared. We called Blackstone multiple times over next week: * Twice the next day -- they said Omar would call back. He never did. * Two days later, Adam said the manager would be back in 15 minutes. Called again -- no manager. Adam then said we'd receive a text confirming a refund. We never did. * Called again the next day, and the hostess promised to pass the message along. Still no call back. It's been one month and still no one ever contacted us or our credit card company back! Total runaround. Thankfully, our bank reversed the charge after we filed a dispute. The food may be decent, but if this is the same owner as Baco (which also shut down mysteriously), it makes sense. Don't trust them with your deposit. read more

This was our first time coming here. Our waitress Michelle was excellent, however the owner was extremely rude. Omar came by the table to check to see how our food was and my friend did not like her food and he just stood there and said there was nothing he can do and walked off. He didn't even ask us anymore detail or try to accommodate us in anyway. Being a manager in food service myself I just felt like his entire demeanor was off putting and he clearly didn't care about us having a good experience. He also made it very clear he was avoiding us the entire time we were dining. Never came back to the table, avoided eye contact every time he walked by, and didn't even say goodbye as we were leaving (yet he said goodbye to every other guest). Not sure if it's a race issue and he thinks we were going to "cause a problem" or "be dramatic" but very weird exchange for sure. Luckily it's California and there are many other options to choose from. Won't ever come back here as long as Omar is in charge. read more
