I sat at the bar with a really good friend of mine. Bartenders was super attentive, walked me through the menu. Ended up getting the Steak and Fries with the pineapple rum punch. It was delicious!

This hotel lounge is in the Brooklyn Hilton. First, if you are in a wheelchair, there accessible rooms are spacious. As the hotel's staff, the bartender was friendly & gave me good service. I had a well served good Pilsner from Bronx Brewery.

If you want a nice laid back hotel lounge with great cocktails and good food in the Downtown Area of Brooklyn you should try Black Walnut. Their cocktails were potent but still flavorful and fresh. I ordered the Rosita and smaller the Coffee Cocktail which was super delicious. It is made with Vanilla Absolut, Baileys, Kabul's, and Espresso. This was simply a heavenly dessert drink. My burger was made to perfection and their homemade potato chips had the perfect crisp and Cajun seasoning. I'll definitely come back to try other food and drinks.

This restaurant is inside the Hilton Brooklyn New York. There are so many amazing places to eat in NYC, but we dined here out of convenience hoping that it would be better than your average hotel restaurant. It was not. The food was edible, and the service a bit slow, but nothing really to complain about. The only reason to eat here is if your staying in the hotel, waiting for your room to be ready, waiting for some friends to arrive who are also staying at the hotel and starving because you haven't eaten since you started traveling to get to the hotel. I do have to say that the fried broccoli and mushrooms was interesting. I liked it, but thewas mixed reviews amongst my group. Let me repeat, there are so many amazing places to eat in NYC, so eat here only if you are staying in the hotel or have to be at the hotel and seeking something convenient.

    Dry Aged Burger ($23)

Rob Newton's new restaurant is completely unrecognizable from everything else he's done so far, from the decor to the service to the food. It's located in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel in downtown Brooklyn, so it feels like a hotel restaurant, and while it is nice and has an upscale vibe, it is a 180 from his fun, casual spots. The biggest issue was with the service, and while it was just the first night, the issues were pretty inexplicable. The restaurant was nearly empty when we ordered at around 7, and we were there for 2 hours. We started with the 18 Month Aged Tennessee Ham with Japanese Milk Bread, Pickled Okra and Butter ($16). I was extremely sad when I realized that the "Milk Bread" is the exact same thing they give you as the complimentary bread to start. So after we got the complimentary bread and the House Flatbread ($14), 20 minutes later we got that same exact bread with a few slices of ham and pickles. Moving on, we then had the Braised Tofu Skins ($18), which were fine, and then noticed the table of 4 near us getting our entrees. The waitress asked if we wanted dessert, so they clearly forgot our burger, and rushed it in. The Dry Aged Burger ($23) happened to be excellent, but for the last issue, they brought it without the Steak Fries, which they said would be right out, but ended up arriving several minutes after we finished the burger. Finally, the desserts were pretty solid. We tried the Vanilla Cheesecake ($10), which was super creamy and nice and sweet, and the Chocolate Pretzel Torte ($10), which wasn't as good as the Pretzel Ice Cream it came with. Maybe breakfast is better, as the menu seems to have a number of sandwiches that sound great. I might return to try those. But I'd probably rather go to Wilma Jean next time I'm in this area of Brooklyn.

Flavortown downtown! It's time Brooklyn hotel food meets the new high standard as current Manhattan Hotel Food. Chef Newton of Wilma Jean and Nightengale 9 fame has opened an American restaurant in the Downtown Brooklyn Hotel Southern style with Asian touches, this is elevated cuisine with flavors and textures that are inventive, sophisticated and delicious. Ate: Japanese milk bread with cultured butter Shisitos, cabbage and sunchokes East coast seafood muddle Total: $43 The bread and butter with peppery bits was clever, texturally super interesting. The Shisitos with crunchy sunchokes and a goddess style dressing was lick the bowl great, also texturally interesting. The seafood muddle in a tomato broth was delish though a tad more spice would have given it a little pop. Lots of veg options, well thought out menu.

    Good steak.

Full disclosure: This meal was courtesy of the corporate card. So essentially, free. And free makes everything feel good. So, I had a bone-in NY steak. It was good. And the accompanying fries were good. And everything around me looked good. One mark against them: No dinner bread. The photos here on Yelp make the bread look tantalizing. But when asked for some, the bartender said, No. I think they ran out. Lame.

So. We went there to try the exclusive release of the IHOP beer, and left with so much more. Taury was freaking awesome!!!! She was nothing but welcoming, kind, funny, and so helpful. We were able to get the beer and she made us the drink that they set on fire. Once she said "drink and fire" we were sold. It was the best bourbon drink ever. And we we're typical tourists so she helped us out with a few other spots.

This is a restaurant in the Hilton hotel in downtown Brooklyn. They have a small but tasty menu the drink are good. There is a sitting area near the window with fireplace and TV. I've never seen this place crowded so it is a good place to have a drink and talk. The flatbread is very tasty and and deviled eggs are good.

    Brunch menu

Came here for brunch with my boyfriend one random weekend. It wasn't too packed. The food was pretty tasty. We came with a PulsD voucher for unlimited mimosas. Mimosas are mimosas-not much to screw up there but the food was good. I ordered the country sausage dish and my boyfriend got the chicken and corn Jalepeno waffles which weren't bad as I thought they were going to be. All in all. Food was good but there was only 1 waiter so service was a bit lagged. I didn't mind too much but that clearly upset other people who came after.

The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. I'm Dominican so I know oxtail pretty well and have made it myself. Thankfully, this place absolutely delivered. The oxtail was perfectly slow-braised, tender, and falling right off the bone -- exactly how it should be. Absolutely amazing. Of course I had the rice and peas, plus some veggies. A few of the veggies were slightly overcooked, but still flavorful and enjoyable. The drinks looked incredible, but I went with the rum punch and loved it. It was a little sweet, but super flavorful, strong, and definitely worth ordering again. For dessert, I had the Hennessy cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and unbelievably delicious. There were three of us dining, and we all left completely satisfied -- with take-home containers because the portions are VERY generous. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that our server seemed to focus most of her attention on my friend. She is Jamaican, and because I look like a white American woman, I felt a little overlooked at times, even when I had several requests myself. We also had to look for her a couple of times while she was sitting with a group nearby. That said, everyone overall was very nice and welcoming. Hubby had the iconic Jerk Oxtail over Macaroni & Cheese Pie! The English language cannot convey the beauty of that combination! Tender, tender oxtail, falling off the bone with the creamy, cheesy mac & cheese! He wanted to savor that dish another day, so he got a to-go bag and took it back to the hotel!
