Our local coffee shop that we come to on a weekly basis. I love getting the chai tea latte as I'm not really a coffee drinker. My boyfriend loves coffee and he's really enjoyed every coffee he's tried here. Every barista we've had here is very kind and knowledgeable when making suggestions. We love staying here as the music is always chill and relaxed vibes when we've come.

I know the image I shared is just a simple to go cup. The contents are a custom made, hand crafted hot chocolate. Robby was kind enough to say, YES I can make that for you". I'm not a coffee drinker so when I enter am establishment just to say, "Hi I noticed your shop and I thought I would pop in and check it out. It's kinda cool when someone says, "Hey you said you like tea? Try this earl gray soda that we created" Pop in. Grab something. Say hello

Underrated such a sleeper chill tasty lil cafe dope atmosphere and workers definitely come by !

A simply good latte. They were nice enough to stamp my coffee junk journal.

The coffee here is always on point. Service quick and friendly. It's been awhile since I've been here and same great taste. Parking in the back is nice.

Cara Cara Latte - deliciously sweet

First time here. Tried their cara cara iced latte. I like my lattes sweet and the cara cara was my kind of sweet. Nice balanced coffee with good orange flavors. Very good drink. I could drink 2 of these easy. Only wish they used less ice and came in bigger size. Service friendly. No seating inside. 1 restroom.

I tried this place out because I saw they had a limited time "Cara Cara Latte" drink. Not sure if I didn't like it because it tasted like orange syrup with coffee but I was under the impression that it was a freshly squeezed Cara Cara orange. It wasn't to my liking but I'd come back to try something else. The crew was friendly and it was a nice little coffee shop. I'd have to come back and try a different coffee next time.

My sister loves coming to this local coffee shop and I have to say for my first time here it was really good. I got a honey lavender latte and it was amazing!! It was the perfect amount of coffee and the perfect amount of sweetness. The blueberry donut was so good that I forgot to take a picture, I just had to eat it!! The staff was super patient with our questions and they helped us choose the perfect coffee! The service was amazing, I've been to multiple coffee shops and this has been by far the best service! The place is beautifully decorated and I love how calm the place is and how wonderful the staff was. I would definitely come back!!

We were a big group, we got 4 drinks and two pastries. The staff was nice and got our drinks out promptly. There was plenty of space of us to sit. It was a cute and quaint coffee shop with throwback indie rock playing like Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys! The coffee was amazing, I drank it so fast! If I come back to LA I will come back here!

Great specialty coffee shop around the north long beach area! Service is so great! The baristas are always friendly and will answer any questions about their coffee (not in a coffee snob kind of way)! The space is welcoming with seating and natural lighting.

LOVE coming to this place with my sister. My favorite drink is their chai latte. I'm not a big coffee drinker but I've tried my sister's whiskey vanilla latte and it's really good, a perfect balance of vanilla and espresso! It has a very relaxed atmosphere and service is always great! Pastries are always delicious too!! I've had many from here and my favorite was a jalapeño croissant thing, i don't remember the name of it but it was SOO good!!

I truly was not expecting how flavorful the Whiskey Vanilla Latte was going to be. It was very smooth, not overly sweet. A coffee lovers dream come true. I'm not much of a Latte person, but this latte might have changed that. The barista really helped me decide on how best to order the coffee, I was going to add an extra shot, but he recommended that I taste it as is, and if I wanted an extra shot that he would remake it. Thankfully, the two shots were a great choice. Loved the service. There's a lot of high top seating and outlets around the bar. It was very clean and slicked. Made it easy to concentrate and get my work done, especially on rainy days. Can't wait to come back!

Had a whisky vanilla latte with oat milk and it was delicious! The espresso was good, and the syrup had great flavor without being too sweet.

Whiskey vanilla latte 5/5 - great espresso flavor with a nice sweetness. 12oz was quite expensive but very good Service 5/5 came around 7:15am and the barista was super chill. Other tidbits: Aesthetic of the drinks, drink name, interior, and vibe was 10/10. Fits together SOOOO well. Really cool art on the outside of the building. Parked on the street, but they have parking in the rear. Definitely coming back!

Great string coffee and superb pastries. Would've given a 5 star review but they ran out of my favorite pastry last time I was in there.

Ask the Community - Black Ring Coffee Roasters

How's the parking it seems really hard to park?

There is street parking on Long Beach Blvd and a community parking lot on the north side of market street kitty-corner across from the shop. Please do not park in the laundromat parking lot; it is not our lot and they will tow.

There was so much construction going on and parking was terrible but I managed to find some in the residential area. There is outdoor seating and very limited indoor seating. The place itself is super cute and I really want to go back already. I love their decor. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the baristas. The gentleman that helped us at the cashier was extremely friendly, his smile, his attitude and mannerisms were beyond friendly and professional. I have to give him his kudos, because a lot of businesses don't have employees like this anymore. We were not ready, so we let someone go ahead of us. There was so much to order, but I decided to just get two drinks and the jalapeño cheese croissant. I have to say the jalapeño cheese croissant is my favorite. The bread was so warm, flaky, and that cheese and jalapeño were just enough. They did not skimp out on this. Our drinks were SOOOO GREAT! I got the honey vanilla oat latte with the banana cold foam. Yes the cashier guy helped me and I absolutely love all his suggestions. He also suggested the cheddar jalapeño croissant. My daughter got a chai tea latte and we LOVED our drinks. I must come back very soon. I regret not buying some of the treats like the rose cookies and fruity pebble rice crispies that I saw on display. While we were waiting for our drinks outside, the cashier came out to bring us our croissant. I also noticed the trolley outside, which I read serves chili in a bowl on certain days. All around, this place gets five stars + and I can't wait to be back!

Great place to check out!…read more Went around 10:30 AM on a Sunday so definitely a busy time, but the service was quick and the line moved fast. We were able to get a seat inside -- at first I was worried that it would be too loud inside because of the space. But nope! It didn't feel too much at all. It was my first time there and there was a sense of community in it just because of how friendly the staff were. Besides that I loved what I got (the iced London Fog - large with oat milk and a blueberry muffin) and all of that rounded out to about $14.66. This felt pretty average for the area/ LA. Would definitely come again on a nice day.

(Started coming here Nov 2023)…read more 88 Keys Coffee is truly a gem in Lakewood! It's the kind of local mom-and-pop shop you just want to support again and again. One of the things I love most is how they actively highlight other local businesses and even partner with nonprofits that serve the community--it really feels like they care about more than just coffee. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and super comfortable. There's always great music playing, the AC keeps it cool, and the bathroom is consistently spotless (which honestly matters more than people admit). Whether you're meeting up with friends to catch up or need a place to focus, there are plenty of seating options for both socializing and getting work or studying done. Plus, WiFi is available, which is a huge bonus. On weekends, they often host small vendors, which adds such a fun, community-driven vibe. While their food menu isn't huge, they make up for it with special days featuring things like empanadas or burritos. They also usually have baked goods on hand, including gluten-free donuts , which is awesome for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, 88 Keys Coffee is more than just a coffee shop--it's a community hub with a great atmosphere, friendly people, and a mission you can feel good about supporting. Highly recommend.

I like the bigger community seating style table as well as the living room set up and individual tables as well. Nicley done to accommodate a single person or a group. We ordered a pastry, cortado and a chai latte. Pastry wasn't anything special pretty standard coffee shop pasties, the cortado was pretty good but the Chai left me with a "meh" feeling. Very watered down with how much milk was used. I would have liked to taste more Chai. Other than that not bad and it's nice to see that Lakewood has a few coffee shops out there we can visit. Would we come back.. we have our favorites but if we are in the area sure why not. Beats Starbucks or any big box name.
