I opted for a small box that comes with two petite fours and three macarons. The macaron flavors that I tried were the salted caramel, milk chocolate amaretto, and dark chocolate. The petit four flavors that I tried were the red velvet and the triple chocolate. Everything I had here was so beautifully made and tasted fresh. I will definitely be back here again.

Staff were very friendly. Inside they played French instrumental music. Store is super clean and cute on the inside. The pastries were fresh, soft and mouth watering. The mango iced matcha was a little disappointing due to the bitter after taste of the drink. Looking forward to trying other pastries and other drinks at the patisserie.

Having said that, it was pretty well run and after waiting in line I found two registers waiting and was able to order a variety of baked goods and a fresh sandwich, which were prepared for me quite speedily. I wouldn't expect to be in and out immediately at peak times, but for me it was maybe forty-five minutes to wait in line, get food, and eat my sandwich. They offer good options for special dietary needs. The vegan sandwich is based on Old Bay marinated tofu, and they are not kidding about that. It is really, really Old Bay flavored. The tomato and avocado livens things up, but honestly the best part of the sandwich was still the sourdough bread, which is fair enough for a bakery. The spread of pastries I acquired was resplendent in quality and variety, and I will be happy to continue trying out all the Black Market locations to see which one is the most convenient.

We ordered the oatmeal pie, almond croissant, wildberry danish, Black Market bun, lemonade blueberry scone, and a caramel cappuccino. Ordering took maybe 4 minutes, and our food was already being bagged while we were ringing up. The drink took another 3 minutes, which was more than reasonable considering how busy they were. What really stood out was the customer service. The guy behind the counter found out it was our first time and immediately gave us a free scone, then took his time explaining how everything works. He walked us down the line, explained what each baked good was, pointed out the most popular items, and even shared his personal favorites. As busy as they were, they still made sure we felt taken care of. There was also a young lady bagging orders who jumped in and out of conversation while working--just as friendly and welcoming. Service like that is refreshing and definitely made an impression. He jokingly asked if he'd see us next weekend... and yeah, we'll definitely be back. The shop was clean, noise level was moderate, and there are a few tables if you get there early or get lucky, but most people seemed to be ordering to go. Lighting was good, and I didn't really notice any music. Price-wise, everything felt more than fair for the quality. They told us everything is cooked fresh daily and they basically go until they sell out--which makes sense given how much business they were doing. The food was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and a great mix of sweet and savory. Honestly, the only regret I had was not trying the breakfast sandwiches--we watched a few being made and they looked serious. Overall, this was an all-around great visit. The way they operate is unique, the food is top-tier, and I can absolutely see why people rush in to grab their favorites before things sell out. Without a doubt, we'll be back.

We came here twice during our stay, and I ordered the breakfast sandwich on sourdough which was 10/10. My girlfriend got pretty much all of their items that were offered in gluten free for dessert and I must admit some of them were top grade including their version of a fluffer nutter cookie. I was as there for the gluten-free options. They had a nice variety of sweet and savory items. I opted for the original breakfast sandwich on the British muffin bread. My order came very clearly marked GF with a bright orange sticker. This location has a dedicated GF kitchen with its own staff! I cannot say I was impressed by the flavor of the muffin, but the texture hung in there like a champ holding the runny eggs, bacon, cheese, ... together for the whole meal. I will definitely be back to try out some of their other GF options. There are two dedicated handicap parking spaces. One is in the parallel parking right along the front of the building. It is very faintly marked, though. There is a switchback ramp to get to the doors. There's lots of floor space to maneuver a scooter or wheelchair. I only saw the restroom on the left of the coffee bar. It is unisex and accessible with bars. There's no hook for a coat or purse, though. The coffee was good. I am a wimp and prefer mild to medium roast. I hate regular Starbucks. This coffee was a bit on the bitter side, but was fine with the cream & sugar I added. There are a couple of tables outside. The building sits a bit back off of West street, so the road noise is minimal. I never noticed this place before seeing it on Yelp. So happy to know it's here!
