I enjoyed my experience here! I ordered a Latte with Splenda for my sweetener. The coffee is a little on the expensive side. My friend got a match with vanilla and almond milk which came out to $10. My latte was $7!!! I probably would not come back, but it's a nice space to work if you have the extra money.
Visited Black Fox and found it to be a solid coffee shop and eatery. Shop was trendy and casual with soft lighting and upbeat music. Shop was well staffed and staff were friendly and attentive. Prices seemed slightly steep to me. My partner I had an iced vanilla latte ($8), an espresso tonic ($9), and we shared the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich ($16). Loved my iced vanilla latte! The sandwich was decent- the pickles were outstanding to compliment the flavors all together- never had pickles on a breakfast sandwich before! Sandwich was kinda dry collectively but at least wasn't soggy and it could have used more bacon given the price.
Nice place good food and nice ambiance and coffee and gender neutral bathroom that was clean. A nice part of the Wall Street area ... cute quaint narrow street where you can't park your car so don't drive here. Overall nice place. And they are green with reusable cups and glasses if you stay in vs take out. We tried the butterscotch latte and it was good and interesting.

The cappuccino was delicious and great service! They bring the coffee and food to your table once you've ordered.
My vanilla date latte was very good, I would come back here to try other drinks. This is a nice place to relax in the morning while you drink your coffee or to meet friends. I will definitely be back here next time I'm in New York.

Their hot chocolate with cardamom is just okay, couldn't taste the chocolate-cardamom flavors much, but the cafe itself is adorable. Tons of great FiDi people-watching and all this quieter booth seating in the lobby next door, which I highly recommend. Talked there for hours and it was the best.
Black Fox in FiDi has consistently made the best whole milk latte that I've ever had. I became a fan even when I wasn't living in NY. I'm glad that the quality has remained consistent throughout the years and happy that they are thriving with new locations. This location in particular has a really nice interior and a cool coffee bar layout. They also have pastries, merch, and stickers (!!).
Definitely expensive, but you're paying for location and ambience. Fast service there on the weekend, I was able to get my coffee within a couple of minutes. While the coffee was a little burnt (ever so slightly), I think this may have just been the flavor profile, everyone else I was with enjoyed their coffee . Flavor shots cost extra.
love the rustic charm of this place. the menu is simple but the beans smell nice. the iced oat latte ($7.50) was a little bit on the more milky side but the espresso base was nice
$7 matcha! Comes unsweetened, with regular milk, and a light green! If you like warm milk this is the perfect place for you. Matcha is clumped at the bottom, so not whisked properly at all. Considering the quality and price, this is very mediocre. If you're a matcha lover, like me, this is not the place for you! Workers here are nice and the feel of the place is comfortable. It's a great place to socialize or finish some work. Their matcha is probably the only downfall!

With our step count tally already over 10,000 for the day, we knew we wanted to take a seat somewhere chill and this place was just that! The baristas were quick to take our order and our drinks came out in no time; a flat white for me and a dirty chai, cold brew, and americano for my friends. All the drinks were classic and predictable (no surprises, just good bevs). We luckily found a table to rest at and recharged ourselves before taking on our afternoon adventures. Would return! Edit: Before leaving, I used their gender neutral, single occupancy restroom and enjoyed how spacious and well equipped it was; a hook for my coat and bag, plenty of soap, and ample toilet paper.
I love Black Fox, especially the Pine location. The coffee here is top-notch, and the food is delicious. I enjoy the space, the vibe, and the staff is very efficient and helpful.
Stumbled upon this place while walking to the charging bull! Forgot what I ordered, but it was recommended from a staff from their seasonal menu and it was good! The croissant was also good, and staff were extremely friendly. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but the ambiance is rlly nice. I think this would be a great place to chat with friends. Id def stop by for a coffee or a quick sit down. read more
I ordered the yogurt and I don't know if it sat out too long or if this really is their yogurt consistency. I literally can drink from a straw. The side was good, but was very disappointed in the overall texture of the yogurt that was way too watery. I can't speak for the coffee or the other items overall the presentation was very nice. It is a packed place so it's not easy to find seating so just grab whatever you can. I love that they have a coat hanger by the entrance door. read more

This place has been on my list for a while as a third-wave speciality coffee shop. I decided to stop by here in the middle of the work day for a little afternoon pick-me-up. The location is great, a nice short walk for anyone working in the area. The inside has some seating, but it's a bit sparse. Not a place for staying long or working. I was initially skeptical of the $4.50 American price, especially for the small size. However, the drink was top knotch. No bad notes, well balanced, and the perfect temperature (not too hot or burnt)! They also had a few different varieties of pour over and espresso roasts for you to pick. read more

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee when they opened. The staff was very friendly and quick to serve! The interior was perfectly lit lol .. like they knew I hadn't had my coffee yet and needed some time to wake up. No bright lights thank you very much! read more

Nice, spacious cafe! I liked the decor and vibe of the space, but the high tables didn't feel too stable for working, everything kept rocking back and forth. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but understandable given how small the food preparation area is. I think they're mainly focused on beverages. My friend had a drink with beautiful latte art on it-- a very unique seahorse!! The breakfast burrito was quite good though! The cheese and egg mixture was super creamy and flavorful, and there was a bit of spice and sweetness in the burrito. My only complaint is how large the potatoes were. Since they weren't cut into smaller pieces, the potato was hard and undercooked. It was very filling. I'd go back to try some other drinks and food items, but probably wouldn't recommend this spot if you're in a rush. read more
Very cool vibe in the financial district. You know it's bougie wherever they have copies of the New Yorker available to while you drink your coffee. The coffee itself was delicious. They clearly invest in pretty good beans. Service was lightning fast. I'd go back for the people watching alone - it's a cool mix of Wall Street types and others. read more

Very disappointing! The food looked very promising online but it is everything but that. The chorizo burrito only had one piece at the top to make it seem like there was even any inside. The bacon egg and cheese was decent the best part was probably the bun. It had very little egg and was mostly all bun. The quality of ingredients they use is pretty good but the portions you get for the price definitely not worth it! The food honestly looks better than taste. The person who also took our order was pretty rude and got annoyed when we asked what was inside the burrito. Decent but not worth the wait and the price. Very overrated. read more

I rarely get sticker shock from coffeeshops, being from a city that also has high cost of living, but unfortunately Black Fox Coffee is incredibly overpriced. My small butterscotch latte with alternative milk was around $9.50 after tax/fees but BEFORE tip. I am used to paying $6-7 for a coffee which I understand is also on the high end but I value the quality of a handcrafted specialty latte. That said, for almost 10 bucks I was expecting the coffee to be the best I'd ever had. And was it good? Yes, I found it to be very tasty! However I've tried equally good or even better in the same area (Voyager, Suited) so I don't see myself paying that much for a small latte ever again. Good but certainly not $10 good. I do dig the vibes--it has a cozy, warm interior and service was pretty fast. It was bustling on a weekday morning so I was surprised there wasn't too long of a wait. read more

Cute coffee shop in FiDi but so pricy. Spent $35 dollars for a matcha, breakfast burrito, and croissant. The matcha was yummy though could've used a hint of sweetness. The croissant was also really good. The breakfast burrito was fine but I didn't like the sweet potato in it. They had a good menu and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely come back for a pastry and coffee if I'm in the area again. read more

Came here to work but had to hot spot and it was not fun ): This small iced matcha latte was about $7 which was very overpriced esp with regular milk. Didn't find anything special with this drink. Got their oat milk latte, which was pretty standard. I'm no coffee connoisseur so it's hard for me to distinguish the subtle undertones, but it just tasted like a regular ole oat milk latte. The vibe is cool though, and they have free water and nice restrooms to use. read more

*Unsanitary - Rude - Dangerous* I implore you to skip this place, even if you're staying in the building. Unbelievably rude, dismissive staff and slow service. The "cook" in full sight dropped my food on the floor and then yelled "f**k" and full force slammed his metal spatula against the counter, the whole restaurant and every server in the place was stunned by the sudden extremely loud sound, almost as if a gun went off. I forgave that my food was already in the 25 minute mark waiting for my simple to-go order, but after that outburst and seeing the spatula shatter across the open air kitchen, left me shocked. I spoke with the poor excuse of a manager and said, "was that my food" his response "yes, yes it was" and walks off!! You're kidding right! No apology, nada. Fast forward another 10 minutes and my food finally gets bagged up, items strewn across the togo box. Pro tip, as a cook, don't wear the gloves you handle food with, pick up dropped food from the floor, walk out of the building with them STILL on, pick up some items, then come back and use the SAME gloves to continue where you left off, grabbing salads and wrapping burritos. Yuck. Take a little walk and hit up, 787, Conwell or Simpl. read more

Tough spot to find, it's at the intersection of two narrow streets deep in FiDi. They have WiFi but I would say it's usually a bit too loud and crowded to work properly here. Interior is quite dark but has a very modern aesthetic. A few tables for outdoor seating if you have dogs and such. Had the cold brew which was OK but nothing too special. Cost over $5, it was a bit too expensive so not great value for money. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning and got a flat white. There weren't too many people in the cafe. Some people were spending the day working on their laptops. Nice spot to get some work done or just relax. The coffee is more expensive than other places, but it's pretty good. read more

No, typically not rushed out, but it does get very busy and it might be too loud if you're looking to study. it's also tough to find a table when it's busy.
