We got here right when it opened and the service was not very friendly. It felt like we were interrupting something their conversations when we tried to order. I got the tiramisu latte, and it was very nice. Very sweet and I liked the cream on top. The pastries were pretty good, standard croissants. We also got the dubai chocolate bar which met expectations. Overall, they had good pastries and creative coffees. Lots of seating and space to do homework or have casual conversations.

Wanted to just stop by really quickly to catch up with a couple of friends and overall, I am a little iffy about this place. The staff was very nice and very patient as my friends and I looked through all of the parties to see what we wanted to try and the interior of the store was very neat and cute with comfy seats. However, the desserts and pastries that we chose were just not it. The Pistachio Latte was overly sweet and ended up being tossed out before even half was finished. The rest of the drinks were all finished. The ube and biscoff cookies were just okay but we definitely regretted it once we took a bite. The banana pudding was extremely artificial tasting and I could barely taste the real banana flavor which just left a disappointing aftertaste. The Knafa brownie was something that I was looking the most forward to, however it wasn't warmed at all and was just a hard cold brownie with knafa and pistachio cream in the middle. You could barely even taste the pistachio. It was just like a mediocre brownie with some Knafa crunch. Overall I think if I were ever to be back, I would stuck to the basic drinks and that would be it. I do not feel too excited to try out more of their desserts because none of them stood out from this trip.

Dubai brownie was good but cheesecake sampler was GREAT!! Lots of seating and lots of yummy desserts. A little pricey but really good and a great place to yap with friends or get some work done.

Today I stopped off here, got the mo bear. It came with 1 small dubai chocoate bear and 1 small biscoff chocolate bear. Dubai chocolate bear was ok, not all that. Biscoff chocolate bear just seemed boring. Tried it once, won't likely be back, was pricy for what it was. Not really worth it.

Located along 8th Ave near the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Was inpressed with the cleanliness and decor that blends well with their pistachio chocolate theme. There are a lot of seating area on the first floor and they have like a mezzanine seating area as well. They have a wide variety of cookies, pastries and desserts. And the famous dubai chocolate pistachio bars. As well as specialty drinks. We got the combo promo of croissant and coffee which is around $7. I got also the Sabaya phyllo pastry and the pistachio latte drink. Pricing is on the higher range but considering the quality of the products plus the location, it is worth a visit.

Great service. Pistachio tree leches. Amazingly good. Soft, light, Delicate and full of subtle milk and pistachio flavors. Pistachio tiramisu: Doesn't work for me. Very hard middle. Cannot spoon through to get a bite. Can improve tea selection and quality. Prices high but quality ingredients and presentation. Will return.

Place is spacious with lots of seating. I can't imagine you'd ever have trouble finding a table. My friend and I ordered pistachio lattes and they were very good! Large portion for an iced drink. Love that the cups are reusable plastic. We returned back later in the day to grab a refresher - sadly both were extremely sweet. I'd suggest cutting it with water. I really liked the strawberry mint one, if it had more water. My friend struggled to drink hers. It was packed with sugar. We also picked up strawberry Dubai cups and those were unreal! So yummy!!! They strawberries were huge and super juicy. Highly recommend popping in for that!

Cute lil coffee cafe, the ambiance was giving very much greenhouse, coffee and chill. There was searing upstairs and on first floor, with lots of options to choose from regarding coffee drinks and things to eat. My daughter got the tres leches cake of which she said was really good. They didn't have outlets, the customer service was okay and it was only one restroom that always had a line. Nonetheless I'd come back when in New York again!

The dessert options are amazing! They have so many drink options as well. French toast, latte and maple oat latte and their Matcha is so good. The sample cheesecake is amazing. So many seats inside and the decor is so cute. Their seats and they're sofas and there's upstairs and downstairs seating. The service is quick and awesome!

Mokafé has a total of 6 locations spread through NY and NJ. This one is located on 8th ave between 43rd and 44th. Mokafé got its name from an ancient trading port in Yemen, Mohka and a famous coffee based drink, mocha. I learned that it starts with Fika. Fika is a state of mind that embraces the process of slowing down in a fast paced environment and appreciating the unique notes and flavors in coffee and the company around you. I was worried items were going to be sold out so I had opted to order through DoorDash while I was on the train. I pre-ordered Knafa Pistachio Chocolate, Knafa Croissant, Pastrami & Cheddar, Avocado Toast, Mo Bear and Lavender Lemonade. I arrived a few minutes later than the pick-up time, luckily the barista hadn't had the chance to make my order so I was able to ask for it served in-house than to-go. I was most eager to try their Knafa Chocolate Bar famously known as Dubai Chocolate. Whatever you have heard about this delectable dessert, it's true! For the croissant, have it as is! If warmed up, although delicious, can be extremely messy! Be ready to lick those fingers!! The lavender lemonade is worth the try. I can't speak on the Pastrami & Cheddar because I wasn't the one who ate it. The Avocado Toast was well savored. The picked onions gave it a bit of sweetness. Sadly, they were sold out of the Mo Bears when I got there so I did not get to try that. The cafe has a total of 3ish seating floors with the main floor having comfy lounge chairs and counter tables by the entry point and more seating across the serving bar. There are also additional seating a couple steps down next to the code locked one-stall bathrooms with a ramp access. More seating can be found lower level and the loft up above. The loft even has a cozy fireplace. This is a nice place to hang out. Additional note: baristas do not like their photos captured. Please be kind and avoid their faces.

I've had Mokafe's classic adani chai, Dubai chocolate, & knafeh tiramisu. Today I went in & had their za'atar cream cheese bagel & it was quite tasty. Simple but great- what's not to love? I also had the white chocolate ube cookie which was a bit too sweet for my liking but still good. All in all, I am glad to see Mokafe expanding greatly & they deserve all the business & accolade they've been receiving.

Mokafe is nearby the bus station so stopped by when I hopped off. Place is clean and staff was very kind, for a place in midtown, it had an insane amount of seating. Coffee was good and the sandwich was delicious. Unfortunately couldn't get their signature croissant because it was out of stock. The pricing here is quiet high but it is a midtown spot. Would definitely suggest if in the area, especially if you're looking for somewhere to sit. 2.5 floors of seating

The highlight of my visit to Mokafe Coffee House in Times Square was the cookie--a Pistachio Dubai cookie. It was my first time trying this flavor, and it was absolutely amazing! The cookie was warm, gooey, and perfectly textured. I loved every bite and was impressed by how well they nailed the pistachio flavor, which feels like the trending flavor of the year. If you haven't had it yet, I highly recommend looking up the proper name and giving it a try--I'll definitely be ordering more next time. This was my first visit to Mokafe, and I found the place quite modern, with multiple floors and quick service. The staff was friendly, and my cashier even gave me great recommendations for the menu. The diversity of the team stood out, with employees from different backgrounds--including my cashier, who mentioned his Muslim heritage. It's always refreshing to see such inclusivity at a business. I was surprised to learn that this location doesn't yet have a Yelp page. When I asked the employees for the specific address, they didn't seem to know, so I'm guessing it's relatively new. Despite that, they've done a great job getting everything in order just before the holidays. That said, Mokafe is on the pricier side--a coffee and cookie could run you about $10 to $15. However, its convenient location in Times Square makes it an easy and accessible stop. For a first visit, I left impressed and will certainly return for more Pistachio Dubai cookies. The atmosphere around here is pretty chill towards destination, but so far everyone's both here. I haven't situation yet, but I also think this is a new location so things will have to develop in terms of how this place will be.

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering the other matcha varietal to see whether that is a better comparison. Outside of this, I enjoyed my drink, and the staff was friendly. I hope they do well.

The space is extremely compact, functioning more like a takeout counter than a café, with only minimal room inside. The main focus here is matcha, with a distinctive approach that lets you choose between three blends: Hinata, which leans creamy and nutty; Hajime, which is more smoky and earthy; and a more traditional-style matcha profile. Drinks like the mango matcha show how they play with these bases, though fruit purées can sometimes overshadow the matcha depending on the combination. They also offer matcha powder for home use and occasional fresh pastries that add a warm, baked aroma to the space. Service is one of the strongest parts of the experience. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and willing to explain the differences between blends in detail. The atmosphere is cozy but extremely tight, built for short visits rather than lingering. It is not a workspace or hangout café, but more of a quick stop that stands out because of its hospitality and focus on craft. Even in a busy area, it leaves a memorable impression through its matcha quality and genuinely personable service.

Located inside Hashi Market, we walked into a space that feels less like a typical café and more like discovering a hidden Japanese food stop while browsing through the store. The setup is simple but has a unique appeal, the kind of place that works well for a quick drink, dessert, or something to take with you while exploring the area. The connection to the market adds a layer of discovery that makes the visit feel more interesting, and the compact, functional design keeps the focus on the quality of the matcha rather than the surroundings. The matcha offerings are the main highlight, especially for anyone who enjoys a stronger and more authentic matcha flavor. We tried the matcha latte and appreciated that the matcha taste was noticeable rather than being overwhelmed by sweetness. The flavor had a deeper earthy quality, which made it stand out from many sweeter matcha drinks that focus more on milk and syrup. Their matcha ice cream and matcha soft serve also seem to be popular choices, and the desserts lean more toward showcasing the matcha itself instead of just using it as a flavoring. What we liked about Fujiissa is that the menu feels more creative than the standard matcha lineup. Along with traditional options, they have more unique combinations like matcha cold foam drinks and other specialty creations. The matcha affogato is especially appealing for matcha lovers because it highlights both the creamy ice cream texture and the concentrated matcha flavor together. The service was another positive part of the visit. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made it easier to decide what to try. Since the space is connected to a Japanese market, it is also a nice place to browse before or after getting a drink rather than being only a quick grab-and-go stop. Fujiissa is a great spot for anyone looking for matcha that has a stronger flavor and a more Japanese-inspired feel. It is not the place to recommend if you prefer very sweet dessert-style matcha, but for people who enjoy the actual taste of matcha, the drinks and desserts are worth checking out. The combination of the market setting, unique menu options, and quality matcha makes it a memorable stop, offering a matcha experience that feels both authentic and thoughtful without overcomplicating what it sets out to do.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We walked into a space where the interior is one of the biggest highlights, featuring floral décor, chandeliers, and cozy seating that gives the room a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. Despite being in the middle of Koreatown, it feels like a quiet escape from the busy streets outside, with a calm, polished energy that makes it equally suitable for catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply relaxing with dessert. The menu offers an extensive variety of teas alongside cakes, soufflés, waffles, and afternoon tea sets. We ordered the crepe cakes, particularly the matcha and purple yam varieties, both of which were among the standout desserts. The matcha crepe had a clean, earthy flavor that balanced well with the cream, while the purple yam offered a sweeter, more indulgent profile. The soufflés and lava cakes provide warmer options for those looking for something more substantial, and the tea selection is equally impressive, ranging from classic loose-leaf teas to milk teas and fruit-infused blends, allowing plenty of combinations to pair with desserts or light meals. There are also savory options like sandwiches and small plates, making it more than just a dessert café and giving the menu a broader appeal for a full afternoon tea experience. The atmosphere encourages lingering rather than rushing through a meal. Service is generally friendly, and the presentation of both the drinks and desserts adds to the experience. The café can become busy during afternoons and weekends, especially for afternoon tea service, so a short wait before being seated is not unusual. Once inside, however, the spacious layout and relaxed pace make it easy to settle in and take your time with the menu. Prince Tea House Ktown stands out as one of the better dessert cafés in the area thanks to its combination of beautiful décor, extensive tea selection, and well-executed desserts. It feels like a destination rather than simply a place to grab something sweet, and it is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy afternoon tea, celebrate a special occasion, or take a break while exploring Koreatown.
