Matcha was great because it was mostly mango lol I asked for extra mango! I got a brookie, a cookie + brownie and it was delish! Would def get again. They also sell Martha bakery cakes, but when looking at the display it looked like they were a day or two old.. I'd much rather head to Martha's for a fresher batch. We came to Ateaz Cafe to get some work done, and it was the perfect spot! Although it's a small space, it's super cute, with a cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. I decided to try their Mango Matcha Latte, and it was delicious - now I can see why it's one of their more popular options! The one staff member working behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. He was also incredibly patient and helpful with all our questions, which added to the great experience. Overall, definitely a 5 out of 5 for me. My sister recommended this spot to me when I went to go surprise pick up my niece from school. The walls lined with greenery, friendly owners, the music, and the vibes of the place really made it feel like a haven in the middle of the city. It took me a while to decide what I wanted to eat. I wanted something breakfasty, but it was also vacation vibes... so I got a slice of this fantastic triple chocolate cake and a refreshing smoothie. They have a variety of lattes and things. There are a bunch of grab-and-go options too. As I waited for my order, I got settled in this very comfortable corner of the cafe. I truly felt at home. One thing I will say though is WOW they're expensive! The prices surprised me a little, but aside from that, please check them out. I hope they continue to do well! read more

I've only been here a few times over the last couple of years because they open at 7 and I tend to leave before that but today I had a really good experience there... picked up a chicken salad wrap, which was so delicious. This little cafe was the perfect spot to start our trip to NYC! The staff was very friendly and patient with us, answering all the questions we had about their menu. I ordered the Tandoori Panini Sandwich and it was extremely delicious and filling! Their air-fried fries were the perfect pairing to this healthy lunch! The only reason I'm taking a star away was because they ran out of lemonade at the time of me ordering so I couldn't order the drink I initially wanted, the Lychee Tea Lemonade. Luckily though, my friend was able to order the drink after we finished our food (I guess they just got some lemonade in the time it took us to finish our food) and I took a sip and it was delicious! The drink was sweet and refreshing, the perfect drink to have while walking around the bustling streets of New York! Such a cute new cafe in Fidi and I'm sad I moved away from the area recently because this would definitely be a go-to spot for me! Their menu is expansive (food and drink both) and I love that they do a bunch of fun latte flavors on top of the typical ones you'd find at other coffee shops. I ordered the Honey Brown Sugar Sesame Latte, which is a summer special, and got an added espresso shot in it. I didn't realize the latte didn't come with caffeine at first, but when I asked the server to add espresso, he gave the shot to me on the house! He was super friendly and patient as well as I was taking forever to make up my mind. The drink itself was great and they adjusted the sweetness to my liking when I asked. The vibe inside the cafe is super cute and not too loud. Rnb and chill music bopping in the background. About 10 small tables, can maybe seat 20-25 people max in the entire cafe. Perfect spot for catch-ups or getting work done, since there's wifi. There's 1 corner with outlets in case you need to charge, not sure if there are others around the cafe that I couldn't spot. Bathroom too, in case you need a break from work. Definitely will come back whenever I'm in the area! read more

Modern like setting and nice appeal. However, it stops their. Honestly, I wanted to like this place but there is much room for improvement and this is why: Service, I had to get everything on my own. Was not attentive on correcting their mistake on my order. In addition, I had initially brought up dietary restrictions. I have specifically mentioned gluten-free options and dairy-free options. There was no allergy menu more was it indicated anywhere. This to me is already a drop in service- furthermore, I ordered a green egg omelette and asked about the bread that it comes with if it is gluten free. He mentioned it was not gluten free so I asked him is it dairy free. He did not say anything and I asked him can you make sure it's dairy free. Once we got our green spinach based omelette. It was discovered there was cheese and because of that I took it back to see if you can remove it or basically resolve this by making a new one. He took it back to the shop saying he could not remove it cuz it has already melted, which is reasonable. It should be obvious that this would merit a new one or remake. He kept the plate of food as I walked back to my seat. He then asked me over the room, so did you want to get a new one. At that point I was thinking in my head was that not a strong implication that you are to make a new one? Instead he was at the cash register waiting for me as if I'm supposed to pay for the new one. Then he came back with the plate of food saying this has already been made. At that point this was a strong indication that he was not planning to remake it free of charge. I mentioned to him saying that I mentioned I ask for gluten-free and dairy-free and I have mentioned it. He then rebutted saying that I only mentioned gluten-free which is so not true as of why would I be getting a oat milk and almond milk latte as well. This should be very obvious, I would have let it slide if he would have asked me do you have any allergy restrictions or some kind of aptitude to let me know that he was apologetic that they made it wrong- that was not so either! To savor any back and forth tension I went ahead and paid for a new one. In my humblest opinion that right there already shows there is no standard at this place and it will definitely not survive in this Americanized Society. Even though this place was rated 4 to 5 stars. I must warn you the service is a joke! Moving on... let's talk about the food. In shorts instead of writing a novel I will just say the food is shitty as well! It was Bland and a hit or miss which in this case. It was definitely a messy miss. Typically if you order any type of coffee or latte drink in-house (to be drank their). It would be provided in a non to-go paper cup. Although this was not the case. Although, this can be overlooked. However this does not meet a typical well-round Cafe/restaurants standard in America or anywhere that I have been. All is to say, the only good thing about this place is probably the location in the decoration. Overall I do not recommend this place for there is many other really nice places an example: NYC Reglular. Overall here are the ratings: Price: Could be less for what is offered or actually came we with. - Menu offerings are lacking (did Mention the fact it's not allergy friendly?) Vibe: modern/contemporary. No parking available, although I suppose this is the norm here. Reasonable amount of seating for a cafe. I was supporting this cafe for a while since they opened & can't believe the rude experience I've been given. I ordered something I usually don't get from here but do from other coffee shops & was SO disappointed in the size. An iced cappuccino ANYWHERE else is a normal size & they gave me a miniature size without any explanation. Mind you I was dressed up in my work unfiform & figures they wanted to be discriminatory towards me. New cafe specializing in coffee and teas now offering food options. What a great addition to the neighborhood. Super friendly staff, beautiful decor and a few outdoor tables added in time for the summer. We have enjoyed a number of coffee selections as well as brewed cold teas. I am a big decaf oat latte drinker and am very pleased. The prices are comparable to all of NYC and it is good quality. If I could, I would come everyday for something to support this business. What has me coming back is how welcoming the owner and his staff are and it feels like a community spot/go to. We bring our dog during a walk who also enjoys stopping in. The person who took my order was nice but I spent $17 on an avocado toast that was probably one of the worst I've had. The menu said "sourdough bread" and different toppings like chili flakes and dill but there was nothing on it but some avocado and two tiny baby tomatoes on a plain piece of white bread. Would give negative stars if possible. Our group of 5 arrived when the place was nearly empty, but was served individually over the course of an hour and a half. Never have seen service where one person was served at a time, with 20 or more minutes between food coming out. Two of the orders were wrong (a Beyond Burger arriving with cheese when asked for none, one salad missing the jalapenos that were supposed to be on it). A sandwich had microscopic bits of feta on it, hardly as described, and had to ask for (argue for) a knife to cut the sandwich into halves - then got a plastic knife, while salad eaters got real metal cutlery. One salad arrived with just a soup spoon to eat it with, had to ask for a fork (another 5 minute wait). Too bad we had to pay in advance or we would not have given such a large tip, or any at all. Good thing we had time to waste sitting in an increasingly crowded noisy place as other people came in behind us (and some of them got served before some of our group did). read more
