When I have room in the budget for a splurge, I stop by Blue Spoon Coffee for brekkie. Today I had a BEC on a cinnamon raisin bagel and it was delicious nicely toasted. They are always smiley and pleasant at this location, which makes me always tip when I can. Small space, pretty for a quick breakfast/lunch pick up or a quick coffee chat with someone special. Such a cute little coffee shop tucked on a corner -- the perfect cozy stop during a New York morning. I ordered a lavender latte, and it was delicious: smooth, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Tiny little cafe with a big breakfast menu. Big portions with good ingredients. Egg, Cheddar, Pork Sausage Sandwich: If you're ravenous at breakfast, this is the sandwich for you! Two pork sausage patties and two eggs! A soft bun and lots of cheese. I actually felt this was a tad too porky for me, since there was a texture/flavor imbalance where I didn't get to truly appreciate the other ingredients. But it was great to keep full until a late lunch. read more

Great location in FiDi. Kind of small but made it very cozy especially as the weather has started to get colder. The sandwich was pretty great and the coffee was delicious. There is VERY little seating since they obviously cater to the on-the-un folks, but there is a table and small counter with stools. Grabbed a delicious gingerbread latte here recently - I had walked past it quite a few times and never had the excuse to go in! The gingerbread latte was good, as was the cold brew. Service was fairly quick and friendly and it had a neighborhood feel inside. The interior is small so not too much room to eat (it's often busy when I walk by) unless you get lucky - would say there's about 2 tables and a counter, but when the weather is warmer they sometimes have a table or two outside too. The breakfast sandwiches smelled yummy as well though I was on my way to brunch so was unable to partake. Next time! read more

Was in the area looking for a nice coffee spot to relax before catching my way home and stumbled upon Blue Spoon Coffee. The Food: Got myself a iced coffee for this visit. Coffee was good and straightforward. Not too sweet or too bitter. The Service: Service was fast and the staff here were friendly! The Atmosphere: Nice and small coffee shop. Spacious enough to loiter a bit and have a cup of coffee or pastry. And clean as well. Overall, a 4/5. Very nice spot to get a quick cup of coffee or to relax. I work in the financial district and it's a bit of a hobby to find new places to eat lunch. It's a very dynamic neighborhood and among all the obvious joints there are a few real gems. Blue Spoon is one such gem. I discovered it by walking past the window on the way to Taim (serviceable and delicious - but cold and assembly line chain around the corner) and seeing someone sitting at the blue spoon counter eating a delicious sandwich on what looked like amazing bread. Amazing bread is not something I see a lot of down here so I went in and ordered a BLT ($11.95) I think it was the best BLT I have ever had. For real. Inside I realized that the baguette was actually from Balthazar- and the bacon was super thick and super crispy which I love. On following occasions I have gotten the cheddar/avocado sandwich. Also fresh and delicious and affordable. If you go early (11:55am) you can snag a seat at one of two small tables or one of two small counters. The music selection was great and the counter people were super friendly and smiling (not that I think every counter person should be forced to smile, but it just stuck with me and made me feel human for a moment!) I fully recommend it. I hope they stay around forever. read more

The staff at Blue Spoon are what make the place. A few weeks ago I was feeling down and missing my sister who passed this summer and wanted an eggnog latte (her favorite). I brought a bottle of eggnog and asked them to make me one and they did. It was delicious and that they did it without hesitation. The staff is why I love this place. read more

One of the few spots in the area where I was able to grab a coffee and set up to get some work done. I ordered a hot mocha latte and sausage, egg, and cheese on a brioche bun and both were pretty good. Coffee wasn't overly sweet and I was definitely happy with the choice. Additionally, service was fast and the shop is kept clean. There's definitely limited space but I thought blue spoon was a good coffee shop. read more

Finally stopped by this cafe that's right around the corner of my apt. Grabbed a house drip coffee and an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. It's a small cafe and there's only two tables and a bar seating area. The baristas are friendly and the coffee is decent. This place is always busy but was quick to grab and go. My favorite coffee shop in the area! The staff are so, so nice, the coffee is great, the bagels are amazing (brought in from a Brooklyn bagel shop each day), food is great, and I love their baked goods. This cafe is a great spot to stop by when you're in the area. It is near the Fulton Street station and across the street from the Pearson testing center. Staff are super friendly and are always in a good mood. Although the cafe is tiny, seats open up quick. There are also stools lining one side of the windows. I've tried their toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, jasmine green tea, and cranberry scone. Their bagels are one of the best and on par with Brooklyn bagels! I'm a bagel connoisseur and won't finish them if they aren't good. I devoured this! The smear isn't just a smear either and I love that they do not skimp on cream cheese. The cranberry scone was my least favorite. It was too dry, but the flavor was there. I'll definitely stop by when I'm in the area again and order their bagel! Cute little coffee shop. Staff were friendly and my order came out quickly. I got the smoked turkey, brie, and apple panini. The sandwich was good, was bummed the apple slices were cooked and not crispy and crunchy. I enjoyed my flat white. Be prepared this cafe is small, if you are looking for a coffee shop to eat while you work, space is limited here. Otherwise it was a nice experience overall. Amazing little cafe that I kept going back to a few days during my stay in the FiDi. I tried a variety of iced coffees and lattes, and all were delicious. Wait time wasn't bad, despite the steady flow of people coming in. There's also an assortment of good items, but I only got a croissant once, and it was solid. It was sweet enough for me without needing any additional sweetener. The only issue was that the hojicha came out a little grainy, so I think the barista didn't mix it as well as they would matcha. The Cherry Blossom Matcha ($8.50) was everything we imagined cherry blossom to taste like. A lot of times cherry blossom drinks end up tasting pretty off, but this one actually delivered. It's made with ground cherry blossom which I think makes all the difference. The matcha itself was good but the drink runs on the less sweet side, so my husband added honey and brown sugar syrup to his. By the time I got to try it, it tasted just as good as mine. We are definitely coming back for those cocktails.

You immediately think "dubai chocolate", which they have, but that's not their only exceptional menu item. They had an array of breakfast pastries and lots of delicious coffees and cold drinks to choose from. I ended up purchasing a biscoff croissant that tasted HEAVENLY. I paired it with a small coffee just for the warmth. The croissant was truly everything and then some, from the topping to the filling. It's definitely a rich treat but so worth it.

If texture doesn't bother you (liberal amount of black sesame!), I'd suggest getting this latte (10/10). Both pastries were great in their own right. For my second matcha of the day, this matcha was like your everyday/average matcha. Can't go wrong, but it wasn't mind-blowing. If you're in the Theatre District, I'd definitely recommend popping in for a drink & a treat!

The homefries were really good, just a little oily and not as crispy as I would've liked. The restaurant makes their own jam, which seemed to be dragon fruit, and it was tasty but i don't think it went well with my sandwich. My friend gave her French toast a 7.5.

It was good, but not particularly memorable and didn't quite live up to expectations. The little cookie on the side was a nice touch, though. The latte art was intricate and very pretty. We sipped our drinks at the high-top tables, which was much more casual. The sit-down tables were filled with late brunch diners. The cafe seemed pretty and well-liked, so I'm open to try their food in the future.

They don't serve substantial food so I do think $60 dollars is a bit steep for a movie I've already seen. Definitely recommend coming early though if you do it. Seats fill up fast!! I definitely want to come back and just try a drink at the bar. Worth giving it a try.

It was very rich, thick and delicious and not "too sweet." The whip cream really makes it more creamy and it does not really add to the sweetness which was good. We also got a side of Salame e Formaggio which I would recommend passing on because the cheese was kind of hard and not that great. The salami was good and honestly I'm not a fan of olives but my friend who liked it enjoyed them. Overall - a cute place to stop by for a hot chocolate and maybe a pastry!
