Great food and Friendly service. I had the Bacon and Cheddar burger and I have to say it was possibly one of the best burgers I have ever had. Hand made patty and bun with just the right amount of juices. The Bacon was thick and smokey along with the Sharp Cheddar cheese made this burger perfect! I had the Kettle chips with my burger but there are many other choices including; fries, garlic fries, salad, soup, potato salad, and fresh coleslaw. I found the restaurant super clean and observed almost every employee washing their hands at least once. If I am back this way again I will return for the Chicken Fried Steak! read more

I was with my family yesterday I really like the food they have on the menu is very varied and I love the orange juice that is fresh but unfortunately the service is poor all the waiters have their dirty uniforms the disheveled waitresses, bad dirty haggards the aprons are dirtier than the rags with which the tables are cleaned, the pants despite the use of dirty straps and the completely dirty shoes only one waitress looked clean since the first time I attended, I noticed that the cooks kept clean and coordinated the waiters They look worse than homeless people on the street. They urgently need to have a good manager who pays attention to uniforms. I was there around 1130 in the morning. read more

There are several BBD locations, and this review is for my first experience at the Redding California location. The atmosphere of the place is really cool, obviously very bear oriented with lots of kitsch on the walls and old timey news print for the menu. The food is really good and the portions are HUGE. I had the chicken fried steak, which is usually the dish I order to see if I like a new breakfast joint (the other is Eggs Benedict). The breading wasn't too thick and the gravy tasted home/house made. Eggs over medium were on point, and the prices are reasonable. Good serving staff too. The staff is quick and hustles(Allison was an outstanding server). No sooner did we finish the starter and our plates were quickly whisked away to make room for the entrée. Water cups had grime on inside and out which was no big deal . When food came instead of pancakes and sausage I received bacon and waffles. Instead of simply taking food back and correcting it the lady argued we ordered our food wrong. Also when someone orders a salad with no meat on it they should be warned there is meet in the dressing. Server was polite. Ordered eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, and an English muffin. The eggs were almost raw, the whites had not completely congealed yet. The hash browns were cold in center even though they were dark brown on outside. Couldn't eat it. Sent it back. They didn't charge for it. This is not the first time this has happened. Stopped here on the way up to Oregon Memorial day weekend. The staff was so friendly and organized. I had called to see if they were open for breakfast, she said come on by. This really sucked. I was SO excited to go out to breakfast, but my husband and I ended up having to leave. We came in at about 9:00 and we're seated pretty quickly, waited a while, then the server came and took our order. That was the last time we talked to her. We sat at our table with our Baby for 40 minutes, watching as the staff ignored us, let orders literally pile up at the window, watched mobile orders get churned out, and the staff look at the order board and food coming out like it was some foreign thing they had no idea what to do with. The kitchen staff seemed irritated at the pile up of food at the window especially when someone on the staff came up and asked where it was all supposed to be going. The window almost cleared out at one point, but I sat there looking in interest and mild horror as servers walked past the window, stopping a moment to look at the plates literally balancing on each other, and just walked away. We finally had enough and left. Nobody even came by to ask how we were doing or to let us know they were behind. I'm frankly disappointed, my husband and I were looking forward to our breakfast burrito and French toast, which is all we ordered. I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. read more

Un BEAR-ably mediocre food for unfair prices. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffle was over cooked and generally didn't fit well with the fishy herbs on the fried chicken. We also ordered pigs in a blanket (sausages rapped in pancakes) and only the sausages were eaten. To be fair, the orderer is know to be picky.
