The table was not clean well and underneath the table was worse. I think the folks that had the table before, eta underneath the table. The floor was littered with used napkins and smashed food. The hobo omelette was not very good and the pancake was cold. The potatoes had a funky seasoning. The best part was the drinking cup that had lipstick on the rim. First time eating in Downey, I've had food in one in Arizona completely different experience. This place was lonely literally three tables but yet the server was very rude. Don't know if she was having a bad day. Whatever the issue was I was just so disappointed. It was my baby's ninth birthday didn't even ask why is she wearing a button that says birthday girl. She never even asked oh! For my meal I ordered the parmesan sourdough cheeseburger and thought it was decent. Patty was bland but the rest of the ingredients helped a bit. I wouldn't reorder it and would opt for something else next time. The Santa Maria Tri-tip on the other hand was one of the nastiest pieces of meat I have ever tried. It tasted gross, was super tough and dry. Not sure what happened but the texture felt like it had been cooked a long time ago, frozen and then reheated in a microwave. I've tried some bad steaks at diners before, but this was on another level. I really hope it was a fluke. Still, I would steer clear of that dish and take your chances on something else. Expense 0/1 $41 total for trip tip and sourdough burger. Considering that the burger was meh and the tri-tip was gross, the food was not worth the price on our visit. Good food and good service. I like their chicken fried steak with country gravy. I had it with their cornbread which was good, a little on the dry side, but nothing a little butter can't fix. Their servers are very attentive, kind and happy to make suggestions. My kids enjoyed their pancakes and eggs. My only gripe is that they don't have Coke products. It always looks so small on the outside but inside is so big and they have shields up and there's always tons of people. It was more way packed and popular than I thought it was. Which is a good thing but it adds a wait time so be prepared for that. This place is pricey but at the same time not. We had four people eat with us and it was like $84 but every meal is like $10+ each and they charge you for refills and pretty much anything you could possibly think of. The food was really good and it at least comes with a lot of food in each meal so it was worth the price which is nice. It's very well proportioned so be prepared to EAT here too. The staff was friendly but she took a while for everything like it took 15 minutes and two reminders for a water. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would Normally I have their food it is good quality.Came for brunch. My sister had breakfast the bacon and eggs was brunt and I ordered homemade chili's. First they didn't bring out the cornbread. It took my waitress 10 minutes to tell me they don't have any cornbread. No apologies. She never came back to ask if we needed anything nor if we needed refills. They are under staff. I will never go back here. I will drive all the way to La Habra before I come back here.
