I placed my order online early on a Tuesday morning, a time when the place wasn't crowded so I wait it would be ready in 15 to 20 mins, and found the entire experience smooth and efficient. For breakfast, I ordered Joe's Hobo Omelette omelette (link sausage & thick-cut smoked bacon, jack cheese, cheddar cheese, spinach & onion) which was perfectly cooked. The portion size was generous which filled me up for most of the day. Lunch consisted of a cheese burger wrapped in lettuce with sweet potato fries. The burger was flavorful and generous portion size for the sweet potato fries. The order was ready for pickup in less than 20 minutes, as promised. Finding parking was hassle-free, and the food was prepared exactly as ordered. The staff was friendly and had my order ready to go when I arrived, ensuring a quick and seamless pickup. I've always enjoyed coming to this restaurant with my family, and it's been one of our regular spots for a while. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. The customer service was terrible, which completely changed our experience. Our food came out cold, and when we tried to address things or place additional orders, it was frustrating. Our waiter did not have a welcoming attitude at all. She seemed uninterested and unfriendly from the beginning. Every time I tried to order something, she would walk away before I was even finished speaking. It felt rushed and dismissive, like our table was an inconvenience. We've always enjoyed coming here, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I truly hope management addresses these issues because we would hate for this to become the new standard. I do understand at the time my family and I were here it was incredibly busy, but it does not justify a unwelcoming attitude, or walking away before we could finish speaking. This is the first time I ate at Black Bear Diner and it exceeded my expectations. Me and my family a party of 5 went on Mothers Day at 9:30pm right before they were closing and there was hardly anyone in there we didn't have to wait for a table. I ordered the parmesan sourdough burger and my family ordered the Santa Maria tri tip plate and everything was delicious including the strawberry drinks and chocolate desert cake. Mike was our waiter and he did an amazing job serving us and making sure we had everything we needed. He was funny and made us feel comfortable and our time their enjoyable. The food was really good, my complaint is about the service. One of the bussers was a better server than our waitress. She messed up our order after several times correcting her when she read it back to us, was rude, and incredibly inattentive. She served us the wrong food and didn't give us any utensils so we asked the busser and he was the main one asking what we needed and helped us out. He got our utensils, grabbed our plates, and gave us boxes to go. She only came to check on us when I was saying this will be reflected in her tip.
