Bistro Z is a restaurant that is located on the Hotel Double Tree of Tarrytown; they have a great deal on Groupon. For 2 people 40 $ two STARTERS, two ENTRÉE and one DESSERTS. If you go in the summer, you should take advantage and sit on the outside of restaurant. For the starters we order the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail that is a Traditional Cocktail with Sauce, Lemon & Fresh Horseradish. The App was very delicious the wild shrimp cooked until tender, peeled, deveined and chilled. Served with our zesty House cocktail sauce and lemon wedges. I love the flavor when I dip the shrimp on the sauce. For my entree a had the Grilled New York Strip Steak with some yukon mashed potato, a little seasonal vegetables & crispy fried onions on the top. The 12oz steak was cooked perfectly and the mesa sauce with it was a perfect compliment. My sister had the Pan Seared Salmon with some sautéed spinach & kales, lemon some scented baby potatoes and citrus vinaigrette the salmon had a good taste my sister love the taste of it. The portion was not that big, but it will satisfy your stomach. For our dessert we share the Strawberry Rhubarb Cheese Cake, we did not liked it because had a funny taste.

I was pleasantly surprised given it was the restaurant attached to my hotel. I fully expected to just have a soup and salad since I was too lazy to venture out...very cold and rainy...but they did have a few decent veggie based options. I did go with the Portabella tower which sat on a corn cake. It wasn't too bad. A little dry, but it worked. I had great service in the bar area and it certainly didn't make me not want to eat there again.

The restaurant inside the Hilton hotel is pretty nice, actually. Interior reminds me of a cozy log cabin. Service was prompt, courteous and professional. It was easy to spot our servers and ask for a thing or two. The bread basket came in warm bite sized cubes, served with balsamic and olive oil. Onto the food! We came by for lunch and ordered... Sliced steak with blue cheese and roasted tomatoes $16ish Ordered medium and medium/medium well it was! Juicy tender steak balanced out by the tomatoes and some greens on crunchy ciabatta bread. Completed by crispy fries, yum! Ciabatta bread gets uncrispy as it cools though, so don't play with your food. Duck confit with pureed squash, sautéed spinach and asparagus $18 Duck was cooked well, no gamey taste at all. Squash was for the win, it was creamy and so tasty. Other veggies on the plate make for a healthyish lunch.

The service is excellent! I had the salmon. I asked for mashed potatoes instead of the spinach and kale it comes with. Yum! A bit pricey but great food and nice atmosphere. The bar food is good too.

Wholly disappointing experience even for a suburban chain hotel. Terrible menu with almost nothing for health conscious people. Horrible veggie burger. Strange inattentive staff

Had a great experience here. I'm always a bit apprehensive with hotel restaurants but bistro z has changed my opinion. For starters, I got the lobster ravioli. For 9 dollars, it was well worth it. Presentation was great and there were huge chunks of lobster. For my main course, Chilean Sea Bass. Perfect temperature and everything melted in your mouth - delicious! Overall, I would definitely return! Service, ambience (we sat outside) and food was well worth it and above our expectations!

My husband went with the à la carte French toast accompanied with a fresh berry compote and homemade whip cream. The bread was a house-made challah bread . He said it was the best he's French toast he's ever had. Served with real maple syrup, which made it even better. The Bloody Marys were fantastic--perfectly spicy, with a noticeable kick of horseradish. The Bellini was just as delicious, and the coffee was served hot and full of flavor. I opted for the prix fixe menu . It was difficult to choose as there were many options to choose from. I decided on the mushroom risotto as a first course which was outstanding--perfectly creamy risotto topped either mushrooms and a delicate touch of annato oil that brought everything together beautifully. For my main course again, many options that I could've went with, but decided on the eggs Benedict with pork belly, and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The country, potatoes, sautéed with onions and red peppers, were so tasty, and the side salad with dressing was light and refreshing. I also loved that there were several protein options you could've chose from to go on top of the English muffin beneath the poached eggs. We were too full to enjoy dessert there, but we took it home--an apple cheesecake dress with caramel sauce, and that same homemade whipped cream . Since we were taking it home, we forgo'd the vanilla ice cream which also came with this dessert . The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive--water glasses were refilled without asking, and plates were cleared promptly. The space also features a beautiful large bar and an outdoor patio, which I can't wait to come back and enjoy. Lots of parking in the surrounding and immediate areas and free on Sundays.

There were also several picnic benches around the side of the building, but I wasn't clear if they belonged to the restaurant. You order at the register and they call out your name when your food is ready. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options, as well as a great breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious. It was buttery and dense. The flavors were mild, but the sandwich was the perfect portion size. I also got a side of the vegan bacon. It was rubbery and tough to chew. Would not recommend. My husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower pieces were well coated in buffalo sauce and very flavorful. I also got the Don't Kale Me juice. It was tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The Deep Roots smoothie was also quite tasty. They have free self-serve water and the employees were quick to wipe down tables so they were clean for the next party. Looking forward to coming again!

We ordered a round of classic drinks (mojito, whiskey sour, gin and tonic, Malibu and pineapple juice - we're not big drinkers) and each drink was on point and not overly heavy on the liquor, which I appreciate. We weren't famished, so we all ordered burgers and sandwiches, which were quite good, especially my Cubano I want to return to try some entrees - like the butternut squash risotto - which looked interesting and promising! But the star of this evening was their TRUFFLE FRIES! These were infused with truffle oil, fried to perfection, and so, so delicious! We actually ordered more when the servings we were sharing weren't enough. I would return JUST for those. We shared a bread pudding, which was also lovely and light, topped with a scoop of creamy and not cloyingly sweet vanilla gelato. Overall, a great meal, with a friendly and relaxed vibe. I'll be back.
