    Calamari

Service was great but food is horrible. Might as well eat at McDonald's or quick burger next door. The calamari is a fried stick and was inedible. Wish I looked at yelp before sitting down. Will say kids liked their kids meals and I enjoyed the champs elysees drink.

Since we walked in they made us feel welcomed, sat us facing the window as we wanted, and service was great, quick, we were just having a snack with a drink to refuel, really helped us refuel and keep going .

We chose this bistro because it looked busy, the food people were eating looked appealing and they had a nice menu. We got an outdoor table and enjoyed watching people walk by. Unfortunately, endless stream of Muslim women came up to us pushing cups in our face begging for money. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and I had a French onion soup and Croque Monsignor; lunch wasn't special. There were chain smokers on either side of us & all I could taste was smoke.

Had we done our research, we probably wouldn't have tried Bistro des Champs but our experience was better than a 3.5 rating. It just happened to have no wait along the busy Champs-Élysées. We were seated outdoors, facing the crowds. This is a typical setting in France, where people sit towards the street, side by side, instead of sitting across from each other. But since we were right by the crowds, we were approached a couple of times by beggars. Croque Madame: It's really just a ham and cheese sandwich but it's got a layer of melted cheese and an over easy egg on the top. The salad was kind of sad with a couple of wilted leaves. I love these back at home and I wanted to see if it would be any different or better...it was about the same. Moules Au Chablis: I saw a picture of mussels on their billboard and had to get an order. I thought of it as something to share but it came with so many mussels that it's definitely meant for one person's main course. They weren't the most fresh tasting but it was still pretty good. We thought service was slow at the end but it was because they don't normally give your check until you ask for it. Lesson learned! Unless you did your research and found a well known place for lunch along Champs-Élysées, then Bistro des Champs isn't a bad choice for a meal.

We went here to get some soup to warm up. It looked crowded on the outside so we thought it would be good. Our service was very poor here. We only ordered soups and got seated before the table next to us yet somehow they got their food before us and it was normal entrees. I also thought it was pretty expensive compared to other places for average onion soup. I'd avoid this place if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

Good menu, full of so many otions!! Prices are good- affordable considering location.. Nice bistro vibes, service was great- speedy, friendly, and prompt. Drinks were delicious, refreshing, and hit the spot!

Came here for lunch. Had the mussels and fries and steak and fries. Ordered 1 sprite. Totally shocked that they charged $7.20. Understand we are on the Champs Elysse area but that's just crazy. Mussels were excellent with onion and garlic seasonig and plentiful. Steak was okay. Service was great.

Great 4 cheese pasta and crème brûlée! The atmosphere was nice but the service was not as attentive. Great location by Champs Elysees!

Food was good , but the service was amazing they have this lady that that's everything and is so nice and sweet.

A lovely little bistro just down the street from a major Parisian landmark, this place hit the spot for us! We opted for outdoor seating, fully taking advantage of eating and people watching on a busy street. The waitstaff quickly seated my party of six, giving us time to browse their menu. Or should I say a little TOO much time: we waited almost 20 minutes before someone came back to take our order! After a recommendation from our waiter, I chose the Grimbergen beer (DEFINITELY not disappointed with this choice!). As for my meal, I picked the Ravioles du Dauphiné (ravioli in a nice cream sauce, with a lovely parmesan crust on top). My fork made a nice *crunch* sound as I made my way through the dish. Bits of broccoli could be found through the the sauce AND ravioli, which I thought was a nice touch! Both the drink and entree I would highly recommend! Stars deducted for our long wait to worder, though.

Once you're finally inside, the staff is super nice and efficient (it helps having only a few things on the menu), and the salad is very refreshing after waiting so long to eat. The house red wine is very good, too. The steak comes rare, medium, or well done. If you usually go for medium-rare like I do, I recommend going rare. It was perfectly pink on the inside but still had a good bite. The steak is excellent, and the sauce is to die for. And the French fries? Out of this world. It may seem a little gimmicky that they refill your plate, but you'll be so happy with how good the food is, it doesn't matter. I used the fries to scrape the plate clean. I was sadly too stuffed to try the dessert, but it looked fantastic. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant before they open and waiting out the line -- the steak and fries are more than worth it!

Sit at the counter to get the full experience of watching the kitchen staff do their thing. Our waiter explained the menu, suggested we could do 3 starters each, or a traditional starter and entree. We opted with the 6 starters, planning to share them all. First was an amuse bouche. It paired perfectly with the glass of champagne we started with. We then chose our dishes. The sea bream carpaccio was amazing, delicate and citrusy. That came with the scallops, two scallops sitting on a celery root puree, with truffle. Then we had the pig trotters, and the langoustine ravioli with food gas sauce. The trotters were amazing with a pickled cabbage, delicate sauce and shaved Comte. (My husband was skeptical of this one, but ate most of it!) . The langoustine dish was delicious. The foie gras sauce was delicate and not overpowering . Finally we had the lamb, and the chicken gyoza with Parmesan and smoked duck. Again, delicious. The sommelier was a great help with the wine. We started with a glass of champagne. Mine was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, and we shared a bottle of Pinot Noir. A glass of Gewürztraminer paired perfectly with the dessert of crème caramel, served with warm, lemony madeleines. They don't have enough menus, so we had to wait for the table next to us to finish with the menu before the waiter handed us their menus. Once we chose what we wanted, we waited another 5-10 minutes before we had to flag a waiter to take our order. We also didn't get any water/drinks for about half an hour after sitting down. The restaurant smells like sweat...and they do NOT give free water at all. The room is TOO loud, there's loud music, loud bar sounds and just overall loud general noises. Also the hostess wearing black yelled at multiple waiters a few times in front of guests so that was weird... Anyways, on to the food..... Portions are TOO small, ridiculously overpriced. The food didn't come out at the same time, one of six of us nearly finished her food before the rest of us got anything. The table besides us, had 5, and only 2 received their food and finished it completely before the other 3 received their food. We ordered 2 of the same plate, and only one came. It wasn't amazing, but it was good, except one of my kafta's was raw. They also offered us tea in the end to compensate for the awful service, just for them to never give it.
