Painting with Turkey's flag

Authentic Turkish cuisine at Élysées Istanbul. We went at a time between lunch and dinner and they were pretty slow. Our late lunch was excellent. We ordered burgers, adhana kabob entree, and chicken kabob platter. My favorite was the chicken kabob entree because it was cooked to perfection with the chicken still being juicy and grilled. The adhana kabob was just ok because the meat quality I did not like. My dad and Sam M got burgers that they enjoyed. Our server was really sweet and ended up giving hugs to us on the way out. Its located on one of the side streets of Champs-Elysées. They have great sitting with a nice set up with Turkish accents throughout the restaurant. If you want Turkish cuisine in Paris, this is the place to be. Side Note- Halal/zabiha for my friends who eat specifically zabiha.~

We arrived in Paris around lunch time at 1pm on a Saturday. After checking in to the hotel we wanted to grab a bite but most of the Champs-Elysées restaurants were closed because of the yellow vest protests. Our hotel front desk called this one and they were open so we ended up walking to Elysees Istanbul which was 5 minutes from our hotel. We were immediately seated and our server gave us a couple of minutes to look over the menu. We ordered the following: -chicken kebab platter -Adana kebab platter -double Istanbul burger The food was tasty and delicious. Service was pretty decent but the server did break a glass right next to our table. Thankfully no one was hurt and they were just being clumsy. I guess enough glass has been shattered in Paris over the last few weeks. 4 stars pretty good place to enjoy Turkish cuisine in Paris.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. The server was so kind, kept checking up on us, and offered good suggestions. We had the lamb burger and the yogurt chicken kabobs, along with hummus for the appetizer and Turkish tea afterwards. So authentic and so good.

this place was delicious!! hidden in a little alleyway away from the chaos. waiters and waitresses did not know english but were super accommodating to the fact that we didn't know any french. loved the chicken kababs and appetizers. bread was also amazing. beautifully decorated inside and comfortable seating. would definitely recommend this place if you like turkish food.

One word...YUM! We had the Larissa guvec to start. It's a great savory appetizer with shrimp. For the main entrees, we had elysees Istanbul and Adam kebab. The portions are large enough to share. They tasted fantastic! We had to bring food home as it was a lot of great food. I really enjoyed the meal.

A special mocktail menu, delicious appetizers (I got the carpaccio, my girlfriend doesn't like salad and we destroyed it). Side bread was delicious. Great dinner menu, we got the lamb and ribeye steak. The lamb is to die for, the steak was immaculate, side sauce was incredible and unique. The mashed potato's that come with the lamb were unique as well, and some of the best mashed potato's we've ever had. The ambience and environment was amazing too, great decor, romantic and playful, but also artistic. Music was spot on and a good vibe. Service was professional, food was spaced out properly and patiently. The waiters were very kind and helped us order by recommending popular items and catered it to our preferences. Mohammad specifically was amazing, but all of the staff were great, you can tell they care about what they do and do it with passion. Huge shoutout to the chef here, it's one thing to make delicious food, another to make it unique like no other at the same time, all while catering the experience to a modern Muslim culture and capturing the excellence of French cuisine.

I came here just for the cordon bleu and it was absolutely delicious. I guess a traditional French cordon bleu wouldn't be very flavorful but this WAS, from the sauce to the garnishings and the cheese sauce on the inside. The potatoes it was served with were also extremely well seasoned. We also got a complimentary mint tea!

I figured it was time to write a review for my namesake restaurant, the one in the little blurb…read moreunder my name. It'll be a problematic review, since I haven't been here since around November of 2004. But let's try it and see how it goes. At the time, "Mac Doner" was an unusually dominating presence, compared to most of the other Turkish-style takeaway places in the city. For one thing, the 16th is a rich, heavily white area of Paris, with very little in the way of fast food. This was the only spot for a kebab or an adana kebab sandwich in that part of the neighborhood, and probably one of the few in the neighborhood altogether. It also had a striking blue neon sign, contrasting against the otherwise staid quality of this semi-residential street. (Eventually they added a new, more traditional exterior, as I saw when I walked by in 2007--unfortunately I didn't stop in and try it again.) And then there's the name itself, mildly punning, nearly copyright-infringing. It rolls off the tongue nicely. As for the food, I would have to admit that I'm adding an extra star for nostalgia. It was, it's true, one of the earliest kebabs I'd ever eaten, a food which is now a mild obsession. The white sauce was good, tart, fresh, with large bits of mint in it; that bread, the peculiarly French type of round pita, was soft and a little toasted; the fries were decent, just a bit soggy, as they always seem to be when you open the long clamshell package. But the meat never seemed stellar. There were too many fatty bits, too much turkey and not quite enough veal. This definitely wasn't a "kebab extra veau." Still, a kebab in the 16th, in that forest of dull luxury, is going to have the benefit of uniqueness, of a lack of competition. The surprise of its being there at all adds something to the flavor. I'd go back, I'd even go out of my way to have it again. I do hope that when they renovated they added some seating, since I remember there being absolutely nothing seven years ago. But either way, there is no arguing with Mac Doner. Either figuratively or literally, since--I'm told--the employees are still on the haughty side.

When we arrived around 6:30pm it was almost empty inside (the few outside tables were full), but quickly filled with guests shortly after arriving. In comfort food mode, we both ordered the Caesar Burger and fries. Food came up quickly and the portions were substantial. In a world of Russian roulette when it comes to ordering North America fare in Europe, we were pleasantly surprised to find a solid choice. While it seems the breaded chicken was previously frozen and then deep fried, it's hard to expect much else - you are in France. Restaurant is very clean, service staff were friendly and attentive. We asked for ketchup and it arrived without judgement -- merci. Food $$ is reasonable and the meals we saw presented to other tables seemed to be well received.
