    Lamb Shawarma Wrap
    Lunden D.

Chez Le Libanais is a must to satisfy your Lebanese Shawarma needs when you are in Paris! Huge shoutout to Mark Wiens for the recommendation! I got the lamb Shawarma wrap and everything was fresh on the inside ! Also get their garlic sauce to replace for mayonnaise! Thank me later !

Tiny shop with tasty food. Portions are a good size and the owner was very friendly and helpful. We had to come at lunch time on another day as the first time we went to the shop there was a long line. The only thing we weren't too crazy about was their flat bread that tends to be break easily (not light a fluffy but more like a chip). Falafels had a good texture and taste.

Local Lebanese dive. In the back there are 4 chairs & it's difficult to get one but once you do, hold onto it! I purchased the falafel plate which came with 4 falafel, salad, hummus, bread, pickles, choice of drink (mint tea), and dessert (baklava). Overall healthy and filling. I was unsure if the meat is halal but I also didn't ask. I am not sure if the full size restaurant across the way is still there or not as I did not see it--but I may have missed it.

Mezze for two: tabbouleh, mujadara, hummus, shanklish, baba ghanoush, chicken wings/drumettes

During a visit to Paris years ago, I was astounded by the manakeesh prepared at the takeout window at Chez le Libanais. Returning years later, I finally got to go to their sit down restaurant across the street, where I ordered the mezze set menu for two. These small plates are my favorite way to share a Lebanese meal, because you get to try out so many different dishes and dips. The set menu came with five cold mezzes, eight pastries/fritters, and one warm dish. The mezzes included a creamy, lemony hummus, baba ghanoush (eggplant puréed with tahini), tabbouleh, mujadarah (puréed rice and lentils topped with fried onions), and shanklish (crumbled cheese mixed with parsley and topped with tomatoes). The plate of "beignets" included two pastries filled with ground meat, two pastries with spinach, two turnovers filled with meat, and two donut-shaped falafels with tarator sauce (tahini and lemon juice). And finally, the hot dish was made with chicken wings and drumettes in a savory spiced sauce. All of the dishes went nicely with the basket of thin pita bread and a dollop of the housemade chili sauce. While everything was tasty and the service was friendly, the prices were definitely high for the quality of the dishes. If I had to choose between the takeout window and the sit-down restaurant, I'd stick with the more casual option.

Bomb. Can't wait to get back to to try the other half of the menu! I would fly to Paris to eat here. Not kidding the food, the staff the area all make my heart smile! It's hard to explain why this place has me so completely (I'm not one to gush check my other reviews) maybe in a past life? Hats off the Jon and Gwen for making me feel like a long lost friend.

Delicious. Highly recommend. There is a sit-down restaurant on the corner and a place to get take out across the street. We got wraps and took them to the river.

When we were in Paris this past summer, I knew I wanted to try some cheap, whole in the wall type places. We searched Yelp and found Chez Le Libanais. I happen to love Lebanese food, especially schwarmas, so I knew we had to try this spot out. I have also been on the search for a schwarma that tastes like one I had when I was living in Nigeria as a kid... I was very hopeful that Chez Le Libanais would be a winner. My husband and I both ordered the schwarma and some baklava. We lucked out and got a seat inside (not much seating available). It took little while for our food to come out. Worth the wait!! The schwarma was sooooo good. The meat was seasoned perfectly. The sauce was on point. I loved every bite! This schwarma wasn't as good as the one from my childhood, but it was super close. Definitely closer than any schwarma I've had in the US. The baklava was also pretty tasty. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this quick and inexpensive meal. We even thought about coming back to get another meal but then decided we really needed to try other places... I kind of wish we had gone back a second time. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Paris!

Went at 3pm Saturday after visiting the louvre. This place is great. They don't close between lunch and dinner which is convenient. Even if you are skeptical about Lebanese food. It was very clean inside, friendly waiter, no wait and comfortable seating. Prices are great. 36 euros for everything including a glass of wine and desert. They have English menu. Had the tabule and the skewers sampler (with hummus and cuscus). Very good. The lamb skewer my favorite.

YES! BEST FOOD EVER! great portions, wonderful main dishes and excellent baklava. 10/10 would recommend. heads up: limited seating. so much flavor

If you want a quick bite to eat and roam around the neighborhood, which we did, this is the place to be. The two cooks were very friendly and spoke English. The food was delicious and tasty. We didn't wait very long to get our order. The price was reasonable. We'll definitely eat there again. Two thumbs up.

This was my first taste of Lebanese cuisine and it'll be very hard to top! For this particular wrap, they use ground lamb to fill it up alongside seasoning, sauce, and veggies. It's a small shop primarily for takeaway. Watch the video to see them chef it up with some lively music playing as well! OH-mazingness: 8.9/10 OH-ffordability: 9.5/10 (~€6)

I suspect the waitress dropped the knife as she was passing behind my back. She was non-apologetic and extremely aggressive and rude. Arguing that she did not know where the knife was coming from?! This should not have been her first reaction. I have to assume that somehow she lost the knife from a plate. She kept arguing with me when I pointed out that she should have shown some concerns and simply apologize. She initially did not. Eventually she came to her senses and finally somehow gave a fake apology. We left the premises without eating anything. The atmosphere was dark and kind of depressed. A stone throw away from La Place de la Contrescarpe, and Hemingway's apt at 74 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine (the place where Verlaine died as well), I can assure you that the voracious writer would have devoured many a shawarma, kastas or falafels, as these are indeed "moveable feasts" that you can savor on the go while on your Paris explorations, without being rattan chair bound elbow-to-elbow with other Parisians, as you surely will be (and should be) eventually.
