Had some amazing French restaurants while in Paris, but this cute, casual place has them beat. Still dreaming of L'As du Fallafel and their perfectly crispy falafels and creamy hummus. The portions are generous and I recommend sharing a plate or pita with someone because it's a lot! Great place to stop by after a day of shopping. No wait for our party of 8 despite the very limited seating (they gave us two tables of four) because it was 3pm in the afternoon.
Incredible Service, incredible food. The nicest men waited on us perfectly. Food is yummy and authentic. Had the falafel wrap. Ohhh so delicious.
Famous falafel spot in the Marais. There was a bit of a line right when they opened but they're efficient about it. We split the Falafel Signature sandwich and it's tasty. The Falafel balls were crispy and fresh. I loved the addition of roasted eggplants and the spicy sauce added a nice kick to the sandwich as well. Not the best I've ever had but a fun snack nonetheless.

YOU GUYS IT IS SO DELICIOUS The falafel is perfection, as are all the side dips, salads & breads. As someone who goes to Paris quite often, I am always on the hunt for some new places to eat at. I stumbled upon L'As du Fallafel, and this restaurant had some delicious dishes to try! It is a very busy spot, so finding a seat can be quite difficult. But the service is really fast and the servers are also very kind. Prices do differ if you want to dine in vs take out. Now on to the food, the falafel plate is delicious and with the portion sizes are big so can definitely be shareable! The sandwiches are very fresh, have great flavour and its just packed with so much ingredients! 9/10 recommend!
We made a stop here for a late night snack, I was excited to give them a try after seeing all the raving reviews. I decided to order the Falafel special, which comes with falafel, veggies, eggplant, tahini sauce, and hot sauce in a pita. The pita was packed with everything and I really liked the falafel, it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The hot sauce also had that spicy kick that spicy lovers will enjoy. The tahini was just okay though, I felt like I had better tahini at other places in the states. Overall, the falafel pita was pretty good, but the tahini brought it down a little bit. Compared to other places I've been to in the states, I felt like the white sauce wasn't better. With that in mind, it's still a pretty good spot to get your falafel fix in.
I mean, yeah come on. The food is phenomenal. Not a long wait, great service and staff who keep the line moving. Very authentic and a great mix of textures and flavors. Tried the lamb shawarma and falafel pita. DELISH
While waking around the old Jewish quarter our local friend suggested we come here to get takeout and go eat in a nearby park. We were told they usually have a long line but it wasn't bad that day. We got a bunch of schawarmas and fries - all quite delicious and for Paris a 15 euro schawarma with juicy tasty meat is reasonable. They have seating inside but on a nice day the hidden gem of a park just a few steps to the right of it is a much more pleasant venue.
Not my first time dining here; it's a must do each time we are in Paris. Don't be dissuaded if you see a line at the door, it moves quickly. I adore their food and so does everyone else as it's always filled with locals! You may consider sharing a few things because portions are large.
The first time we came here, my family loved it. We came in the winter and it was the perfect hot meal and the falafel was super crispy. Now, two years later, we came back and felt that it was alright. There are always lines but it goes relatively quick. The falafel is probably the best falafel we've ever tried, but the shawarma in a pita was ok and the rest of the veggies and sauces in the falafel were not the best we've ever had (best meat in pita we've had is Falafel Stop in northern california).
By far the best falafel in the world (and yes I've had a lot of falafel in the US and internationally including Egypt). Absolutely incredible. Quick service even if you are waiting in line to sit down (wait is usually 20 minutes or less). The guy writing your name down is hilarious and fun. If you don't want to sit down there is a to go line that is quick. The restaurant itself is like a fast food seating with basic chairs and tables that is semi clean. Service is definitely very quick. The food is absolutely amazing. The hot sauce is fantastic. The veggies are fresh. I could eat this everyday. I'm so sad it's in Paris and would love for it to be in the USA It is a must go otherwise you didn't do Paris right! Scrap the Michelin stars and go here
I had seen this place on TikTok and was wanting to try it out. I finally had the chance to do it with a friend that was visiting me. We decided to dine in and the wait was about 40 minutes, which wasn't too bad we just went to a coffee shop and chilled. We came back in 40 minutes and were seated immediately. I decided on the grilled chicken medallion pita sandwich as well as a side of fries. The food came pretty quickly within 10 minutes. This sandwich was HUGE! It was filled to the brim with chicken, lettuce, tomato, eggplant, cucumber and lots of sauce. They did put tahini on here, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I still enjoyed it. It was so filling and delicious. The pita was warm and fresh as well as all the toppings. Our waiter brought out a cup of this spicy sauce that was the star of the show for me. It wasn't super spicy, but the flavor was amazing. I put it on every bite. The French fries were pretty standard, but yummy. For 2 pita sandwiches, a drink and fries our total was 44 euros.
Falafel in Paris? Definitely!! I know it sounds strange to go to Paris and eat falafel, but L'As du Falafel is one of our favorites. Found it years ago when my husband always wanted to eat falafel sandwiches when we travelled. This one tastes like you are on the Tayelet in Tel Aviv, not the Old Jewish Quarter in Le Marais. So nice to stroll in this trendy area with its cobblestone streets, historic synagogues and quirky boutiques and then grab a table for a falafel plate or pita. The falafel is so good. Just like the family restaurant that my husband's parents used to own. Crispy on the outside. Delicious and moist on the inside. Could have easily split the falafel plate. 10 falafel balls on a plate of hummus, tahini, green cabbage salad, purple cabbage salad, Israeli salad with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and a tomato based dip. Pita included. So yummy!! My hubby had....a falafel pita sandwich and fries. Added a freshly squeezed carrot orange juice. So refreshing. Ask for a large complimentary glass bottle of tap water. Inside and outside dining available. In a rush to get back to the Olympics? Take your order to go. Love falafel? Add this to your list of restaurants in Paris. If you are like our family, you'll be back.
Missing pictures.... Quality/Quantity - Just follow the line. Just look for the longest and busiest line and it will be there. Actually, there are two lines, one for take away (on the left) and one for sit down. Both lines are just as long, but the take away moves much faster. Fairly organized. For the take away side, an employee takes orders while you wait in line, to expedite the process. (If you are from CA, think of an In and Out burger drive thru business model). Overall the food is good and reasonably priced. And great advertising seeing everyone walk around with your "sandwiches." Ambiance - Crazy busy. Both inside and outside. But plenty of employees (again both inside and outside). Fairly organized considering the volume. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable.10-15 Euros for a pita sandwich. $11.60 to $17.50 US. While out on a self-guided walking tour I found myself in the old Jewish quarter of Paris. Fallafel joints appeared plentiful but only L'As du Fallafel screamed out as the one to dine at. On first pass, there was a line at the take-out window. When I returned to dine in, there was a rather significant line there as well. My party of 2 was apparently the magic number because they had us stand in the front of the line and we were seated inside almost immediately. The food here is served so rapidly that I seriously doubt anyone needs to wait long as there's a constant turning of tables. Schwarma and Fallafel and whatever else we consumed here was so fresh, delicious, and satisfying that I tried coming back here again the night before leaving Paris. The chicken shawarma in particular stood out for its flavor and freshness, while the hot sauce added a great kick without overpowering the food. As soon as the last bite of my falafel pita slid down my throat, I was filled with anguish and despair. I have never in my life wished that I could rewind time and re-eat something more than I had in that very moment. Even though I was stuffed, I seriously considered waiting in line for another 25 minutes and reordering another one of those beautiful creations. Sadly, I reminded myself that gluttony is a sin, and continued on my journey. I ordered the falafel special pita with everything on it. The chef was kind and prepared my falafel quickly. If you line up in the takeout window, you're not allowed to sit so keep that in mind! I had to eat my falafel while standing up outside the restaurant, but I didn't mind, it added to the experience. I have tasted many falafel pitas in many different cities, and this is one of the best I've ever had. Many restaurants that serve falafel pitas can't make one that isn't dry after the third bite, L'As du Fallafel does not have that problem. Every single bite was a head-nodding bite. The textures and flavors were perfect; tens across the board. I am so glad that I did not listen to the reviews stating that this place is overrated - it is not. Yes the line is very long and you might wait around 30 minutes before you get to order, but it is warranted. Stand in that line proudly and know that your mouth is about to go on a heavenly journey. read more

We stood before the threshold of the restaurant staring at the long line separating us from what might be one of our favorite food stops in the city... When all of a sudden the shop's owner stepped out, pointed to us and directed us inside. We did not ask questions but we did order too much food which was all magnificent and would have been worth the wait. The mint lemonade was also delicious. Why the falafel gods smiled and took mercy upon us, I will never know, but I'm grateful. read more

Was shopping in the area and saw this place had tons of reviews, so we decided to stop by. The take out line looked pretty long, but they were able to seat us at a table inside right away. We ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and a hummus plate with falafel. It was seriously one of the best meals that we had in Paris. Overall, the service was great and I would highly recommend for a quick, inexpensive meal. Wish there was one nearby so I could go all the time! read more
Best Falafel Ever! L'As du Fallafel is a must-visit in Paris! My friend and I stopped by for lunch around noon on a Wednesday. The takeout line was short and there was no wait for dine-in. We sat outside and the service was quick and efficient! We both ordered the Falafel pita sandwich and shared a side of fries. The falafel was incredible--so flavorful with a perfectly crunchy exterior. The tahini sauce, eggplant, and fresh veggies were also delicious, and the soft pita was unlike any I've ever had! Don't skip the homemade hot sauce--it's amazing! Their fries were also incredible! Golden and fried to perfection. Definitely order them as a side. TL;DR - I would 100% go out of my way to eat here again. The falafel, fries, and hot sauce are must-tries! read more

If you visit only one spot in Le Marais, please let this be it! WOW! Hands down, best falafel I have ever had. This place really lives up to the hype! We waited in line for a bit to order (it moves quickly and is worth the wait, I promise) and got two wraps. They really loaded them up with sauce and toppings - we were so full for the rest of the day! Amazing service, fun atmosphere, and most of all, outstanding food. I wish we had L'As du Fallafel here in Boston so I could go all the time! read more
I got the falafel plate and I'm not sure if it was the video playing on how they made it but it was soo good! It was hot and fresh and the table had all the condiments. There's rest room to use and the service is fast. They take card and I found the food fresh and filling packed with fiber! It's was so near Notre-Dame as well! Will be back if I make my way to Paris again! I also loved that they served tap water which was very American friendly and the story of the restaurant on the menu. There's two separate lines: one for being seated inside and one for a takeaway. We opted for the takeaway line since it was shorter. The overall feel of the space is super casual. The service as quick! There was someone who took our order while we stood in line and then when we got to the counter, our orders were ready to go. We did get to choose our toppings . The food was good! It wasn't the best falafel I've ever had. The flavors were delicious together - the creamy and hot sauce. The falafel was a little dry but still was flavored well. This place is good but not sure it lives up to the hype. The pita sandwiches are good but not the best I've had. My friend and I were staying at a hotel not too far from here, so for an easy dinner our first night in Paris, we decided to give L'As du Fallafel a try. Please note they have two lines: a takeout line on the left and a dine-in line on the right. We came by a little before 9:30 pm on a Thursday evening and there was a short wait of a few minutes to get seated. The restaurant is pretty large with plenty of seating, so even with long lines during the day I assume it moves pretty quickly. Half of the menu is in French and the other half is in English, which made it easy to order. We shared a half sweet potato appetizer ($8) and got our own pita sandwich. My friend got their famous fallafel pita for $12, and I got the schawarma pita with turkey and lamb for $16. The sweet potato appetizer was really good. Probably the biggest half sweet potato I've ever seen! And it was roasted perfectly. The schawarma pita was solid but not mindblowingly good as I would've expected. My friend thought the same for his fallafel pita. First of all, it's messy to eat! I recommend dining in if you're planning to get a pita sandwich, and if you're planning to do takeout, eat it at home (or your hotel). I was making a mess while eating, and that was with the help of a fork. Portions are huge and we were struggling to finish the last couple bites. I didn't like how the yogurt sauce, which was delicious, was only added to the top of the pita sandwich. After I was halfway into the pita sandwich, there was no more sauce in the middle and I was sad. For the schawarma, I personally found the meat a bit on the dry side and bland. I had to add a little bit of salt to make it flavorful enough for my taste buds. I tried a bite of my friend's fallafel pita, and while I think the fallafel was really good, I don't think it's the best fallafel I've ever had. Service was quick and someone's usually keeping an eye on your area to make sure everyone's good. read more
This spot definitely served up a large portion! The falafels are distributed evenly throughout the whole wrap which makes for a great bite each time. There are two lines you can join, the takeway line which moves relatively fast and the dine in. Our party decided to takeout and enjoy our food nearby. We ordered with a server who walked down the line taking orders then handed our ticket to the guys in the window. This dish comes packed with veggies, it was surprisingly a large portion. While the red sauce may look intimidating it wasn't spicy it was more of a sweeter sauce along with the white creamy sauce the spice level shouldn't be of worry. We did find the falafels not to be as crispy but at 9 euros this meal is worth the wait in line! read more

Found this place by happenstance while walking around the old Jewish neighborhood. There were other falafel stores but why are people falling in line for this place? Hey when there's a crowd for food then there's a reason. OMG, I've never tasted a falafel so yummy before. I devoured the whole thing and went back in line for another two to go, which we ate for breakfast . read more
Surpasses the Lenny Kravitz Hype!!! was our one hour trek inhaling mostly gastronomic aromas ( when is someone going to develop boulangeri/espresso scent?) along gorgeous Parisian pavements in 90 degree temp worth it, oui oui oui!!!! Fresh crisply fried french fries, and herby crunchy exceptionally moreish falafel, were, I'm afraid polished off ( by me mostly) before I had a chance to take a photo) I'll let the photos of our meal tell the tale read more
