Had some amazing French restaurants while in Paris, but this cute, casual place has them beat. Still dreaming of L'As du Fallafel and their perfectly crispy falafels and creamy hummus. The portions are generous and I recommend sharing a plate or pita with someone because it's a lot! Great place to stop by after a day of shopping. No wait for our party of 8 despite the very limited seating (they gave us two tables of four) because it was 3pm in the afternoon.
Incredible Service, incredible food. The nicest men waited on us perfectly. Food is yummy and authentic. Had the falafel wrap. Ohhh so delicious.
Famous falafel spot in the Marais. There was a bit of a line right when they opened but they're efficient about it. We split the Falafel Signature sandwich and it's tasty. The Falafel balls were crispy and fresh. I loved the addition of roasted eggplants and the spicy sauce added a nice kick to the sandwich as well. Not the best I've ever had but a fun snack nonetheless.
VEGAN REVIEW My friend recommended this place vehemently & I was a little like... what's the big deal, it's falafel... YOU GUYS IT IS SO DELICIOUS The falafel is perfection, as are all the side dips, salads & breads. Dine in if you can, the menu is larger (plates & such) Service is SO FAST Lenny Kravitz loved this place, so you know it's good LOL
As someone who goes to Paris quite often, I am always on the hunt for some new places to eat at. I stumbled upon L'As du Fallafel, and this restaurant had some delicious dishes to try! It is a very busy spot, so finding a seat can be quite difficult. But the service is really fast and the servers are also very kind. Prices do differ if you want to dine in vs take out. Now on to the food, the falafel plate is delicious and with the portion sizes are big so can definitely be shareable! The sandwiches are very fresh, have great flavour and its just packed with so much ingredients! 9/10 recommend!
Best Fulop and Paris highly recommend going to this place. We came here because my mom had been here in the past. It's an amazing blend of cultures. You see people from all over the country. All religions dining in one place just to have great food.. We had the falafel sandwich which was phenomenal crispy with the pain is from the pickles that was perfect. We also have a Shawarma plate that was immensely tasty a great amount of food. I particularly loved the cabbage salad. The staff is extremely friendly informative made you feel like you're at home. You can take the food to go or eat there. I highly recommend coming to this place. Whether you're in the neighborhood room for a destination to come if you're in the neighborhood or make it a destination for the incredible friend in the shopping in this neighborhood both vintage and otherwise it's truly outstanding. One of our favorite areas in all of. Paris.
We made a stop here for a late night snack, I was excited to give them a try after seeing all the raving reviews. I decided to order the Falafel special, which comes with falafel, veggies, eggplant, tahini sauce, and hot sauce in a pita. The pita was packed with everything and I really liked the falafel, it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The hot sauce also had that spicy kick that spicy lovers will enjoy. The tahini was just okay though, I felt like I had better tahini at other places in the states. Overall, the falafel pita was pretty good, but the tahini brought it down a little bit. Compared to other places I've been to in the states, I felt like the white sauce wasn't better. With that in mind, it's still a pretty good spot to get your falafel fix in.
I mean, yeah come on. The food is phenomenal. Not a long wait, great service and staff who keep the line moving. Very authentic and a great mix of textures and flavors. Tried the lamb shawarma and falafel pita. DELISH
While waking around the old Jewish quarter our local friend suggested we come here to get takeout and go eat in a nearby park. We were told they usually have a long line but it wasn't bad that day. We got a bunch of schawarmas and fries - all quite delicious and for Paris a 15 euro schawarma with juicy tasty meat is reasonable. They have seating inside but on a nice day the hidden gem of a park just a few steps to the right of it is a much more pleasant venue.
Not my first time dining here; it's a must do each time we are in Paris. Don't be dissuaded if you see a line at the door, it moves quickly. I adore their food and so does everyone else as it's always filled with locals! You may consider sharing a few things because portions are large.
The first time we came here, my family loved it. We came in the winter and it was the perfect hot meal and the falafel was super crispy. Now, two years later, we came back and felt that it was alright. There are always lines but it goes relatively quick. The falafel is probably the best falafel we've ever tried, but the shawarma in a pita was ok and the rest of the veggies and sauces in the falafel were not the best we've ever had (best meat in pita we've had is Falafel Stop in northern california).
By far the best falafel in the world (and yes I've had a lot of falafel in the US and internationally including Egypt). Absolutely incredible. Quick service even if you are waiting in line to sit down (wait is usually 20 minutes or less). The guy writing your name down is hilarious and fun. If you don't want to sit down there is a to go line that is quick. The restaurant itself is like a fast food seating with basic chairs and tables that is semi clean. Service is definitely very quick. The food is absolutely amazing. The hot sauce is fantastic. The veggies are fresh. I could eat this everyday. I'm so sad it's in Paris and would love for it to be in the USA It is a must go otherwise you didn't do Paris right! Scrap the Michelin stars and go here
Falafel in Paris? Definitely!! I know it sounds strange to go to Paris and eat falafel, but L'As du Falafel is one of our favorites. Found it years ago when my husband always wanted to eat falafel sandwiches when we travelled. This one tastes like you are on the Tayelet in Tel Aviv, not the Old Jewish Quarter in Le Marais. So nice to stroll in this trendy area with its cobblestone streets, historic synagogues and quirky boutiques and then grab a table for a falafel plate or pita. The falafel is so good. Just like the family restaurant that my husband's parents used to own. Crispy on the outside. Delicious and moist on the inside. Could have easily split the falafel plate. 10 falafel balls on a plate of hummus, tahini, green cabbage salad, purple cabbage salad, Israeli salad with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and a tomato based dip. Pita included. So yummy!! My hubby had....a falafel pita sandwich and fries. Added a freshly squeezed carrot orange juice. So refreshing. Ask for a large complimentary glass bottle of tap water. Inside and outside dining available. In a rush to get back to the Olympics? Take your order to go. Love falafel? Add this to your list of restaurants in Paris. If you are like our family, you'll be back.
Surpasses the Lenny Kravitz Hype!!! was our one hour trek inhaling mostly gastronomic aromas ( when is someone going to develop boulangeri/espresso scent?) along gorgeous Parisian pavements in 90 degree temp worth it, oui oui oui!!!! Fresh crisply fried french fries, and herby crunchy exceptionally moreish falafel, were, I'm afraid polished off ( by me mostly) before I had a chance to take a photo) I'll let the photos of our meal tell the tale read more
L'As du Fallafel in Le Marais is legendary for a reason. There is always a long line here, so you can't miss it. I first went here ten years ago, and visited again, and it's still just as great. The falafel wrapped jn pita is a must here and it comes with a generous amount of falafel and toppings. Get the spicy sauce for an extra kick. We also tried the fries, and it was pretty tasty. read more

You will always find a long line leading up to this family-owned Middle Eastern restaurant. Located in the Jewish district of Paris (known as the Marais) on the busy street of rue des Rosiers. Be sure to have your order ready as they charge you and take it on the line. You only collect your food at the window. read more

I first tried L'As du Fallafel back in 2019 on my first trip to Paris. I ordered the falafel sandwich and fries. It was one of the most memorable food things I ate while there. It was so memorable that when I planned my next trip to Europe, I had to make sure to add Paris to my itinerary, just for this falafel. This place did not disappoint. The falafel is so fresh and flavorful, and the bread is so soft and warm. The sauces they add accompanied with the fresh crunchy veggies are so good. Every bite is perfect... I like to add the harissa sauce they have at the table to my sandwich and kick it up a notch. The fries are fresh and crispy! I add the harissa sauce to those, too. They also make a mint lemonade, which is too good to pass up. We had a chance to try the meatball shakshuka, and it was delicious as well. The service is friendly and they speak English too! This is not fine dining, but the inside of the restaurant is casual and comfortable. You really are doing yourself a disservice if you don't try this place while you are in Paris. read more
I love this place! I never really paid attention till now that this place is very vegan friendly. Hands down the best falafel in Paris can be had here. There are many imitators but they just are missing that special something this place has. If there is a line rest assured that it is worth the wait. The ingredients are very fresh, the presentation is great and the taste is what will keep you coming back! I always get the falafel and I'm always happy. read more

I knew we had to make a stop here because I've heard through the grapevine that this place is THE BEST falafel place in Paris. Not to toot my own horn here but I've been to Israel twice so my tastebuds have already become acquainted with really fantastic falafel pitas. Expectations were high. After eating here, I will admit that this place is worth the hype. We were trying to cram in as much food as possible in a short period so we decided to share one falafel pita. The man taking my order convinced me to get their freshly cooked, homemade fries. Time was of the essence so our order was take away. After photos were snapped, we proceeded to absolutely destroy the food. The pita was soft and warm, the fillings (cabbage and cucumber) were plentiful. The falafel itself was some of the best falafel I can remember caressing my GI tube. The outside is so crunchy you can make an ASMR album and the inside is soft with delicious flavor. They doused the living shit out of it with tahini sauce which provided that much needed creaminess. The fries were piping hot like we had to harness every drop of willpower not to burn the shit out of our mouth with them. They were SO crispy but my American ass was missing a lil bit of salt on those bad boys. This meal was orgasmic and you would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this place. read more

Delicious fallafel and pitas! Not something we have tried before but really enjoyed it. The Israeli beer was a great pairing. Very fair prices and good service. Definitely worth a try, it's larger inside than it appears from the street. read more
I always have random places bookmarked in the event I ever visit that city, I can just pull it out of my back pocket. L'As du Fallafel was one of them. I've had this place on my radar for years (I don't even know from where) and now that I was finally visiting Paris, I was able to give this place a try. We got there at around 5:30 on a Sunday. There's one line for takeaway and one for dine in. We decided to do takeaway. Don't let the line intimidate you. It's worth the wait and we only ended up waiting about 15 minutes. These guys have their ducks in a row. One person goes down the line taking orders/collecting payments. Then when you get up to the window, you give them your ticket and they make your order fresh. We ordered the Fallafel special sandwich to share, since we were still planning on having dinner later. This might be the best falafel I've ever had. It's freshly fried, so it comes out hot and crispy. I believe 6 falafels come in a sandwich. It also comes with all the fix-ins: lettuce, tomato, eggplant, some kind of red cabbage slaw that really balances out the whole sandwich, hummus, and garlic sauce. It's pretty messy to eat but it's so good. My only piece of feedback would be for them to layer the sauce/hummus. It just sits on top so when you get towards the middle/bottom, you don't get any of those flavors anymore. I wish we got to try the shawarma. I guess this warrants a return trip to Paris! read more

Lines. Lines. Lines. Is it worth it? Yes. This falafel sandwich is big and tasty and only 9€. I got take out as I'm staying very close by. The man taking my order missed my frites, but then didn't charge me. The sandwich is so big I didn't miss them. read more

I have not had Israeli food this good outside of Israel! I am so glad we made the trip and the effort to stand in line to eat at this wonderful restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. Service is outstanding and the line moves quick even though it may seem long. The ambience is great and this is in a nice area of Paris. The falafel is amazing. The pitas are fresh, the hummus is outstanding. The shawarma is tender and delicious. I was so excited to have lemonata (lemonade with fresh mint) as I haven't had it outside of Israel. The produce used in the food is extremely fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in Paris. read more
Dropped by L'As du for a quick early dinner. I fully understand why this is one of the more popular restaurants in Paris -quick service and friendly waiter -ambience was bright but clean -TVs on (world cup going on) -got 2 plates - fallafel and schwarma (they include turkey, which ive never seen, I usually just see Lamb); especially tasty was the fallafels; as good as i've ever had including NYC mainstay Moumon's -lots of additional goodies on the plate including hummus, tehina, salad, eggplant -convenient location near shopping and metro -note the pricing for "to go" was cheaper than dine in -generally pricing seemed fair read more
The fallafel of my dreams. I live in the US and will ALWAYS stop here more than once when I am in Paris. You cannot beat the fresh, warm, and flavorful pita. Spicy or not- both are amazing. There can be a bit of a wait as they are very popular. They also randomly close so you may miss them. Sadly this has happened to me twice. They still get 5 stars because the food can't be beat! read more

Was recommended by my aunt to come here because of how good she said it was. There were two lines, one for take away and the other was to dine in. Both were equally long but the wait wasn't too bad. We decided to dine in and I ordered the falafel pita. I had really high expectations but unfortunately there wasn't anything about it that is worth mentioning. It was mediocre and nothing special. My boyfriend thought the same. There wasn't much flavor to it. There were sauces on the table which I used but it didn't do much. Honestly I don't understand what the hype is. To each their own. read more

To paraphrase MLK a bit, "I've been to the mountaintop ... I've seen the Promised Land" and even still L'As du Falafel is the best falafel I have ever had. Now like most skeptics, I have heard of this place and said to myself "I can't possibly imagine how a French falafel shop could make the best falafel out there". But like most skeptics I was wrong...dead wrong. After a little bit of a wait, my wife and I got a table and split a variety of items including a falafel platter and shakshuka. The shakshuka was pretty good; I mean its' hard to go out and get rave shakshuka when you have an Israeli aunt who can make it for you on a dime. However the falafel....absolutely immaculate. After just one bite it was easy to tell why this falafel reigned supreme; crispy on the outside yet moist and well spiced on the inside. No idea how they manage a falafel this good but you are not getting any better then this. In addition to the main attraction, the platter came with a variety of dips and salads which complimented the piping up falafel to a tee. Grab a spoonful of tahini, hummus, and some of those salads, throw in a few balls into a pita and you have yourself one of the best meals you will have in Paris! read more
Great spot for a meal on the go that ends up being very messy , big fan of falafels and heard about this place so I had to try it. A falafel sandwich made to perfection with all fresh ingredients and great sauces , really good combination of vegetables , only misusing piece is the pickled turnips. Dislikes : hard to eat given the sauce is on top and the toppings inside are not well mixed , the sandwich will fall apart quickly or get soggy quickly Sanitation: the people serving the food are not wearing gloves and they are putting their hands in your pita to open it up which is quite off putting , wear gloves , use a knife, use common sense !! read more

Delicious food and great customer service. It's a popular spot and there's line to get in. read more
Ordered a delivery with this place after hearing that this was the BEST falafel in Paris. I'll first say that when I ordered I specially asked for utensils/napkins and not a SINGLE one was in the bag. I wasn't able to eat it until after. The quality of food was pretty good & fresh, and portions were good. This falafel platter was basically a deconstructed version of 2 of the sandwichs Pretty good, but I'm not sure if I'd wait in a long line for this. read more
I got the basic falafel pita and it was loaded with falafel and eggplant/aubergines. It was without a doubt the best falafel pita I've ever had. No joke. This thing was huge and flavorful. I got it with some heat cause I like the spice and it just made it that much better. read more
The last few times I have been here, I've done the takeaway, but this time, we are in. Definitely come earlier than you usually would to minimize wait time (we had no wait, but it does get busy, even though tables are filled almost as quickly as they are emptied). Mom ordered the falafel sandwich, and I ordered the falafel plate. The falafel plate is magnificent--it comes with all of the delicious fillings that you'd get with the sandwich, plus the deliciousness that is the house hummus and baba ganoush. They're both silky smooth and creamy. The baba ganoush has a hint of smoke and plenty of tahini. The falafel itself is crispy and beautifully seasoned, and there's extra texture thanks to whole sesame seeds. The other accompaniments include two kinds of cabbage salad (one white and one red/purple), tomato and cucumber salad, and roasted eggplant that just melts in your mouth. Try some of the spicy sauce--it's got a pleasant heat from chilis, brightness from cilantro, plus a bit of smoke and a lovely saltiness. There's a reason that this place makes the "best falafels in the world" lists. Don't miss it! read more

You have to try out this spot at least one time during your stay in Paris. Hubby and I came here a few times and the wait it worth it. Keep in mind there are two lines; one for take out and one for dining in. I prefer dining in because the pitas look overly stuffed and I doubt it would hold up well; I prefer having a plate. I opted for the Chicken Schnitzel, a fried thinly sliced chicken breast. It was crunchy but on the heavier side as it is fried. But it comes with a lot of sides; french fries, hummus, and salad. Hubby had to help me finish this one. He ordered the Schawarma which he always gets. As I said earlier, it's super messy but everyone loves it. We have also order the babaganoush which only comes in one size; large. It's good but a little different than the babaganoush I have back home. I feel like they should serve this as a side instead of a huge bowl. It's definitely worth the wait. As hubby says, "try the schawarma!" read more
This place is no joke!! The felafel is the best I've ever had. We didn't have anything else but it all looks delicious! Get there at opening otherwise you may wait for 30-60 minutes. Why they didn't get 4-stars: The line is ridiculous and the service is slow. There are two lines, one for inside on for take away but there are no signs to inform you. They need to figure out a better system and move through the crowd faster so you don't have to wait an hour. read more
This is one of my favorite place to eat when I am in Paris. I cannot forget how it taste ever since I tried it for the first time. This is a popular restaurant that often has a long line. I dined in every time when I came here. Staff is friendly. Special Falafel sandwich is my favorite. It is vegetarian. Falafels were crispy. The sandwich comes with 5 falafels, crispy cabbage, pickled onion, and hummus. The sandwich got me full every time. Price is reasonable. It is 9.5£. Will come back again! read more
My falafel pita sandwich was good, and really filling as well. Yet, I was a bit underwhelmed with my meal and I do believe this place might be slightly overhyped. Regardless, there's no doubt that L'As du Fallafel serves you fresh ingredients and you definitely won't leave hungry read more

Ate fallafel on a No Diet Club food tour, and it was so good I went back after the tour. There are maybe two or three falafel places on this road near L'As du Fallafel but there's is the only one with a line down the street, this one. We went around 1030am and the line had already swelled to 15 people. No worries, they move extremely fast. It is a must have in Le Marais!!! Stateside in the US, I've never had one as tender and flavorful. In fact, I'd largely been turned off by the dish due to blandness, but this establishment does it right! I'm now home and yearning to find a restaurant with a similar recipe. read more

I have been waiting to try this hotspot for years and finally got to give it a whirl during my recent trip to Paris. The line seemed very long, but it moved pretty quick and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Let's talk about the good stuff - the food! I got the falafel inside of a pita with all of the fixings. I didn't get the spicy sauce, but my friend told me it was great. All of the fresh ingredients were amazing and the falafel itself was so flavorful and fresh. You get a huge portion size too so come hungry! read more
