Well the host was subtly rude when the language barrier came into play. You can only order sandwiches to go. This was actually our second choice for falafel and gyro sandwiches. The gyro was chicken, which I would not of ordered if I'd of known ahead of time. Fries/chips were the best part of the meal. While we waited on our food we sat across the road at what I thought was an abandoned or closed restaurant. The same host came over and said we could not sit there. Keep in mind, there's no one outside and we actually attracted two other groups while there.

I don't even like falafel. But I LOVED THESE!!!! Wow. I literally was blown away by how much I liked this sandwich. We came here as a stop on our food tour and at first, I was a little bummed since I tend to find falafel very dry and overhyped. Ok, now I get the hype. This spot had a line wrapped around the corner, totally understandable. We lucked out and snagged easy access with the food tour's "cut the line" perk and that was much appreciated. I cannot say enough as this place and it made me "falafell in love."

I don't think I have ever tasted a better shawarma pita in my life. This is so delicious and so filling

We had a delicious lunch with great service. The prices were reasonable for the value delivered. The pita bread tasted homemade and wonderful. It was the perfect accompaniment to the Falafel Special.

So we totally did that thing where we meant to go to The Famous Falafel Place and actually went to a different one next door. But let me tell you- skip that crazy tourist line, the freezing in the cold, and grab a table and GO HERE. What an insanely delicious lamb schwarma we had here! Best I've ever had and I live in NYC! I'd go here all the time if I lived here. The lamb is fresh, the bread is fluffy, and everything in between is top-notch. We also got the falafel platter. I'm not even a fan of falafel and these converted me. Crispy, not greasy, chickpea-filled but not grainy. 5 stars!!!!!!!!!

Their falafel sandwiches and plates are so tasty! I love the balance of flavors and textures. I always go here when I visit Paris. The sandwiches are 8 euros but are only available for take away orders.

We came here because L'As du Fallafel (where I went last time I was in Paris) was closed. First off, the prices are insane. A falafel plate is literally 3x the cost of the same thing at L'As du Fallafel. Even a small portion of French fries is $4. But we were hungry and the reviews were good so we figured why not. The place was fairly empty so we were seated immediately. I had the falafel plate and my friend had the shawarma. Both were above average but definitely not as good as L'As du Fallafel. Our total was $28 when it would have been $12 down the street. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but very overpriced.

BEST FALAFEL SANDWICH ON EARTH!! I grew up in a predominantly Middle Eastern family, so I've eaten plenty of delicious falafel sandwiches and platters in my life. I know what a good falafel tastes like, I can enjoy a falafel with a special twist, and I don't appreciate a bad dish. I usually don't crave falafel as I eat the dish regularly, however that changed when my friend took me here. This is the single most delicious falafel sandwich I have eaten in my life, and I would 100% return to Paris almost solely to eat this again. I returned several times during my trip. This sandwich includes typical falafel ingredients, but also includes some not-so-typical ingredients like eggplant, carrots, and a red salsa served in a thick, fresh, warm pita bread. This place is located in a small, wide street in the Jewish Quarter and offers both table service and a quick service counter. I routinely ordered my sandwiches to-go, but would love to try their other offerings at a seated dinner some day!

This small restaurant is tucked away in one of the side streets in Le Marais, and they have incredibly delicious and authentic food! I got the chicken shawarma pita and it comes with a delicious eggplant in it which is pretty unique and adds a lot of flavor to this pita. This pita can get a little messy so you might need a fork. The only reason I can't give this place a 5 star is because the place is rather small, but the good thing is that they have a "walk-up" window where you can order without having to go inside the restaurant. Service can be a little hectic in the restaurant, but the waiters do a good job taking care of everyone overall! I highly recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a quick bite to eat of good quality middle-eastern/Mediterranean food!

Delicious falafel platter, about 13 E.

The food quality, freshness, and overall flavor, 5 stars. Service was challenging since there was only 1 overworked waiter tending to the entire room. They have a food stand outside where you can your food to go, or take-away as they say. A lot if people just hanging out eating outside there. I ofdered the falaffel platter which was extremely satisfying. Included fesh raw veggies like cucumbers, shredded carrots, shredded white and red cabbage, and an awesome tomato or red pepper dip, hummus, fried falaffel, and a creamy white garlic sauce. I almost want to give this place 5 stars. The owner or they guy manning the register was very nice and welcoming. Our waiter was just too busy and overwhelmed. I will return next time in Paris.

Wandering the Marais and spending money is an easy thing to do. But unbelievably you can find a good inexpensive lunch. I had mine at Chez Hanna. The Formule Express lunch was 14€ for a super, large and delicious Chicken Schawarma Pita and a can of Perrier. The chicken was tender and overflowed the pita but left room for the eggplant, other veggies and a good smear of hummus. Messy but worth it.

    Super delicious Vegetarian (special) Falafel

That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. However, I was visiting Le Marais with a local who assured us that he had tried both Mi Va Mi and L'as Du and couldn't figure out any discernible difference between the two. (I guess it's one of those Geno's vs. Pat's situations.) I was ready to eat, so I opted for Mi Va Mi. The falafel was exceptional! It's fried fresh and it was just delicious. I also appreciated the addition of fried eggplant on top. So good! My favorite falafel experience of all time. I only wish I had gotten more of their "spicy sauce" which wasn't terribly spicy, but very garlicky! My husband got a grilled sausage and enjoyed that, but returned after finishing his sausage for a plate of just plain falafel. The staff was super nice! We were very happy with our decision to eat here!

We ended up here for our first bite in France because L'As du Fallafel was on vacay (and they were randomly closed another day when we tried to go back, so I can't make a comparison until next time we travel to France) We got the PITA CHAWARMA (11€) to-go, and this put pita sandwiches in America to shame. ** Mi Va Mi's version was huge, and it was the perfect amount to be shared by two people for a light lunch while leaving stomach space for pastries ** It had a generous portion of grilled turkey and chopped cucumbers, drizzled in a yummy yogurt sauce, and wrapped in a fluffy fresh pita ** In my opinion, I think they could have gone lighter on the yogurt sauce since it was dripping and soggy. I think this is the first time ever that I didn't mind a soggy sandwich though, because the flavor was sooo delicious ** There's something about the pita too, that was reminiscent of the taste and texture of focaccia ** I had expected the shawarma to be the star, but instead I was impressed by how well the pita sandwich came together as a whole. It was hearty and satisfying without being too salty or heavy Tips: - They are speedy! Food was ready shortly after we ordered since they assemble everything on the spot - Spicy and non-spicy options - Small dining areas indoor and outdoors (plan on just standing in the picturesque alleyway) - It's a bit messy to eat even with forks, but this makes for an awesome street food experience

We walked to the Jewish quarter in the Marais for L'as Du Falafel but it was closed unfortunate due to Roshashana. I had heard online that King Falafel Palace was just as good if not better so we ordered dinner to go (emporter). I am now a convert! The falafel sandwich not only has all the usual ingredients ( falafel, pickled cabbage, tomato cucumber salad, tahini and a lovely yogurt sauce that is tangier and thicker than taziki), but it also contains the most delicious fried eggplant. We loved the French fries ( my son likes them with less salt). We also got the falafel plate for my younger son and it came also with some pickled peppers and fried onion crisp. This falafel place seems to have a policy where you're under no circumstances allowed to sit at a table, even after you've bought food there unless you've opted to eat in off the menu that is a couple euros more expensive (even if you're just waiting for your food to be prepared!). I had just bought food to go, and decided I wanted to sit and facetime my family while I ate, so I sat at one of the many empty tables. An employee quickly urged me to get up from the table and tell me that since I didn't pay for "table service", then I couldn't sit. He was kind about it, but still it was embarrassing to be ushered away from the table while holding the food I JUST bought there, especially when this place was pretty empty compared to the booming place to its left. It's an incredibly silly and scam-y policy given that the restaurant is the same level of a food truck in terms of accommodations. To put it simply, this isn't a place that requires much "table service". Anyway, the pita falafel was good, and the wait time compared to the much more popular place next door was much less (they had a line that looked about 30 to 40 minutes long). So if you want a quick bite it's an okay place apart from their table policy.
