    Ice cream

Wonderful service. We arrived for ice cream, we had it two days ago. The take away windows was closed, however a server told us that we could go in the restaurant and order the ice cream. Greatly appreciate his assistance. Highly recommend the chocolate/orange and the coconut. Wonderful. Will try to get back for a 3rd time

Super unique concept. They have regular plates but you can also order a tasting platter to be shared amongst just yourself, two people, or (I think) up to 4. You choose a certain amount of dishes, depending on the size of your platter, from a list of traditional Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food items. Loved being able to personalize my dish. We tried a bunch of things and some were better than others (e.g. the falafel was good, the hummus was mediocre). One thing I wish they had done better was heat up the food. I know they're making big batches of foods and serving them when ordered but almost everybody at the table had cold or lukewarm food. That's the main issue I had with this restaurant; would have been much more enjoyable otherwise.

j'ai le seum To the server who is an Asian lady experiencing severe hair loss, maybe have an espresso or touch some grass. We had a terrible server. We asked about the hummus plate, and she instantly ordered two vegetarian plates for us. When I corrected her and explained I didn't want that, she said she put the ticket in and said it's too late, followed with a comment "honey this paris". She did not bring us drinks we ordered, but happy to try to upsell us with dessert. Then, at the end, when we go to pay she tells us to go inside because the machine is there and we have to follow her to pay even though everyone else paid outside. Then, without telling us the ticket total, she asks us how much we want to put. I suppose she was implying a tip, which is not required and surely not warranted under this unacceptable treatment. We asked for the ticket, paid the total, and left. If you are looking to stop here and see this older Asian lady, RUN!!! The only time I've had bad service in Paris. Like I said, j'ai le seum!

Shouk Shouk (falafel, eggplant, cabbage, cucumbers, tomato salad and warm pita)

Friendly staff, generous portions, and a great atmosphere with good food. A lot of locals come here eating in and getting takeout. House wine was even incredible! Highly recommend

Chez Marianne is an utter and undeniable delight. With a Mediterranean vibe and a relaxed, familial atmosphere, this Marais stronghold has earned one of the top spots in my Parisian restaurant ranking. Upon each visit the meal surpassed my expectations, with palpably fresh ingredients that tasted as if they may have been plucked from the earth that morning. My favorite item is La Shouk Shouk, a colorful entrée as beautiful as it is scrumptious. Hearty falafels are contrasted by wonderfully creamy hummus and pillowy pita, all rounded out with a smattering of fresh chopped vegetables and a lovely aubergine confite. If you still have room in your belly by the end of the evening, don't miss out on dessert. I just adored the rich chocolate cake, with a gorgeous spiral pattern and an undertone of rum. For impeccable service and a fantastically comforting meal, Chez Marianne is a Parisian gem!

Lines on Rosh Hashannah! A 30 minute wait but so so worth it for these amazing falafel sandwiches!

I think most people come here for the takeout falafel but the sit down is good too. The service is friendlier than most.

Missing pictures…read more... Quality/Quantity - Just follow the line. Just look for the longest and busiest line and it will be there. Actually, there are two lines, one for take away (on the left) and one for sit down. Both lines are just as long, but the take away moves much faster. Fairly organized. For the take away side, an employee takes orders while you wait in line, to expedite the process. (If you are from CA, think of an In and Out burger drive thru business model). Overall the food is good and reasonably priced. And great advertising seeing everyone walk around with your "sandwiches." Ambiance - Crazy busy. Both inside and outside. But plenty of employees (again both inside and outside). Fairly organized considering the volume. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable.10-15 Euros for a pita sandwich. $11.60 to $17.50 US. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1978.

On first pass, there was a line at the take-out window. When I returned to dine in, there was a rather significant line there as well. My party of 2 was apparently the magic number because they had us stand in the front of the line and we were seated inside almost immediately. The food here is served so rapidly that I seriously doubt anyone needs to wait long as there's a constant turning of tables. Schwarma and Fallafel and whatever else we consumed here was so fresh, delicious, and satisfying that I tried coming back here again the night before leaving Paris. Unfortunately for me, they close early on Shabbat, so I had to be satisfied with my single visit. Outstanding experience, delicious food as over 2,000 reviews already attested to.

That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. I want to like Miznon more than I actually do. I love the gimmick of full roasted vegetables…read morewithout any seasoning, allowing the diner to doctor to taste. The cauliflower and sweet potato are visually stunning and well-roasted, but ultimately the condiments the restaurant offers don't compensate for the neutral preparation. Even tomato sauce, hot sauce and salt together couldn't coat the cauliflower in a satisfying way. When the vegetable is cooked with the idea of its being a blank canvas, it can't be retroactively perfected. Table salt should be a garnish, not the savior of a meal. The sweet potato fares better since I could mainline that vegetable, but if a roast sweet potato is that good without any seasoning, there's no reason to pay a restaurant premium for one. I am not trying to denigrate the concept of Miznon, because to do so would be to miss the point, but I would argue that I only ever need to experience Miznon once for novelty and then can move on to genuine meals at restaurants that justify the cost of dining out.

The downstairs is two tiny high tops for two and one that might fit three plus a few tables out front. I mention that so when you go, not to expect a sit down experience. The food was nothing that other places don't make, but was so good. I had a simple shawarma wrap and a side of baba ghanoush. Both were excellent. The shwarma was beef and lamb, which I ordered with the Toum and hot sauce, as well as the standard onions, pickled veggies, and tomatoes, and it was small. But every bite was perfect! I don't know why or how, but the little wrap could have been the best thing I ate the entire trip, and believe me when I say that I ate a lot. I hope my glowing review doesn't set the bar impossibly high, because it's the simplicity that makes this little sandwich so good.
