We moved to the Southeast (Winston-Salem area) two years ago. Several of the fast food restaurants are new to us and Biscuitville is one of them. However, with so many new options and our preference to eat at a "new to us, sit down restaurant", we have not experienced many. We were in a bit of a rush last Sunday and we already know that many restaurants are closed on Sundays. We were driving down Lewisville-Clemmons road and remembered there was a Biscuitville. A good friend of mine who has lived in both North and South Carolina raved about Biscuitville when he last visited. So, we decided to check it out. As we drove into the parking lot we could see the drive thru was backed up to the street. We chose to park in the lot next door and go inside for the full experience. The line inside was was about five party's deep and there was only one register in operation. We were able to check out the menu board behind the counter and make our selections. As we waited we saw the biscuit window. A male employee was behind the window making biscuits for everyone to see. There was even a tilted mirror above so customers are able to see them preparing the dough. My wife decided to try the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit without the cheese and a bottled water. I chose the Spam Classic Crunch biscuit from their limited-time menu with a side of country fries and a fountain drink. I was impressed they had Diet Mountain Dew and filled up my cup. The place was busy but the cashier was helpful and efficient. She provided us with our receipt and told us they would call my name when the order was ready. We found a small table that appeared to be clean while others needed wiped down. Most of the tables were occupied. We waited just a few minutes and my name was called. The sandwiches were wrapped up nicely and I grabbed some ketchup packets and napkins. Our first Biscuitville experience was good but not great. Everything in our order got the job done but nothing really stood out. We would visit again. My wife has ordered the sausage balls from the catering menu for her colleagues to enjoy in the office and they are always a big hit.

    Delicious biscuit & gravy!

The biscuits and gravy at Biscuitville alone are worth a trip to the restaurant. This location is not far from the main thoroughfare, and it's a good place to stop for a quick breakfast.

Biscuitville is more than a fast food breakfast. Their options are different and their quality is a lot different! If you're traveling through this area it's a must try. Our Clemmons location has some excellent efficiencies and operators. We've never had a wrong order. With that said they're still very busy on the weekend mornings. The drive through is almost always backed up onto the side street and sometimes all the way back Lewisville Clemmons Rd. But, they move through it reasonably quick. It's consistently backed up because that many people want some Biscuitville. Don't fear a long drive through line...In this case it means the food is good. They keep it moving. It's very convenient to i40. Our go to is the hot honey chicken biscuit. A fried chicken with local honey and Texas Pete (despite the name that's a local sauce) on their awesome made from scratch biscuit. It's never wrong. It's always good. Sometimes I branch out. While I love their seasonal variety I'm yet to find anything worth the opportunity cost of missing a hot honey. Most recently I went in for a jalapeño pimento country fried steak. It was good, but too much pimento and just not as good as the chicken. Their fries are excellent, I love their gravy, and bonus points for so many local ingredients

We were served promptly and the orders were correct even with substitutions asked for. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She was very good at remembering how we wanted our orders and even asked us if any of the items were to come first or after our main dishes. She also made sure to refill our coffee and water quickly. The food was a good helping, cooked perfectly and still hot and fresh. I had a cheese omelette that came w hashbrowns, sausage and toast. I wanted a waffle so I decided to try the one with warm blueberry syrup and whipped cream. Yum. My friend ordered a turkey club sandwich w fries. It looked like a large portion, no complaints on that either. There are plenty of tables and some booths in the spacious dining room. No one rushes you there so if you wanna read a paper or catch up with a friend this is a nice place to do that.

They don't give a side with sandwiches, looks like they are all à la carte. $1.50 wasnt a bad price though. Loved my pita I would only suggest maybe they grill the onions and instead of fresh. Loved the chips as they were dry and not oily . Served with ranch. My friend ordered the walnut chicken salad sandwich. Then realized when she got it it's full of onions which she could not eat. She felt bad for having not asked when she ordered it. Our server was so nice to see if they could trade it out and they did with zero fuss. It making her feel bad. She opted for the cheese burger. My hamburger steak and the biscuits were very good this time even though my broccoli side was lacking, Dad enjoyed his pancakes and particularly his fried eggs as well. Going with 4 stars but only because the visit deserves more than 3 stars for some of the food, again really want to go with 3.5 stars if I could. The Deets: When visiting the folks for the Father's Day weekend, Dad said he wanted to head by Cracker Barrel and get some pancakes for a late brunch so we stopped the nearest one over in Clemmons. It's been years since I visited this location, and honestly, really nothing much has changed from what I remember. It is the same basic formula with the country store area as you enter and then you go to the host desk to the side for the dining area. Luckily since we were stopping by a bit later even for a lunch, the crowd had left for the most part and we were seated promptly. Again, everything in the seating area is the same and could really use some TLC (lots of dust on the ceiling fans, more than a rustic type of appearance that could use a refresh, etc.) Our server was very nice in letting us having a few extra minutes to take in both the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus so we could decided what we wanted to go with today. Dad stuck with his pancakes, adding fried eggs and sausage. Mom got the Old Timers Breakfast menu selection, and I decided on the hamburger steak with two sides of steak fries/steamed broccoli. I enjoyed my coffee as we waited for our meals. Once they arrived, Dad really enjoyed his pancakes and particularly complimented the fried eggs. Mom was OK with her breakfast, nothing extraordinary or bad noted from her. My hamburger steak was really good, not dried out and plenty of flavor, I enjoyed it. My mother and I really liked the biscuits, baked just right. Steak fries were OK, but there were a good number of them extra greasy though. My steamed broccoli was cooked just a bit too long, not very much crunch left to it and pretty bland (Mom tasted and agreed with the latter). I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars for this visit, I really wish I could give 3.5 stars here. In looking at everything, I really think in the long run they deserve more than 3 stars with the good hamburger steak and biscuits as well as Dad really enjoying his pancakes/fried eggs so I will go with 4 stars, just knowing I feel like 3.5 stars honestly.
