Ray Ray's looks like a big chain from the outside, but serves food that tastes like it came out of small town hidden gem. This was my first time trying it, and even though I was skeptical, I was not disappointed. I went through the drive-thru at peak lunch time, at about 1215. From placing my order until I had food in my hands was only 7 minutes and there were 3 cars ahead of me. Not bad. The drinks and food were both in unmarked styrofoam containers and inside of a generic grocery bag. Not seeing the restaurant label plastered over all the containers was the first sign I got that this was about to be good; don't ask me why. I ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and original chicken sandwich combos with a fresh squeezed lemonade and fresh squeezed orangeade. The lemonade was quite literally face-puckering sour. I normally like my lemonade on the sour side, but it was even a bit much for me. This is the only criticism I have in this entire review. The orangeade was pretty good, but felt like it needed a little something. I ended up mixing both of them together and it was fantastic. I highly recommend doing this. The piece of chicken on both sandwiches were thick and juicy. The seasoning in the breading really shines in the original chicken sandwich, and it had an audible crunch. The Nashville Hot sandwich, while it lacked the crunch of the original, it made up in the flavor from the sauce. On top of the fact that the sandwiches were both delicious, they give you about twice as many french fries than you would get at any other fast food spot. I'm not normally a fan of crinkle cut fries, but these were hot, crispy, and well seasoned. Thoroughly impressed with this new chicken spot and I will come here over the chic-fil-a any day.

I've heard conflicting comments about Ray's so I checked it out myself. I ordered 2 Nashville Hot sandwiches through the drive thru line. The speaker was clear and the person was friendly. $15.78 for 2 sandwiches. Ouch. The sandwiches were decent size, rainy no bigger or smaller than Chick Fil A or KFC. The breaded breast was topped with a piece of lettuce and had three pickle chips underneath. You can get a regular Nashville Hot or get it spicy. I was kind of confused as I thought it was spicy to begin with. Anyway, I got it regular. The chicken breast was quality chicken. Tender and juicy. The coating and spices were ok. Mid st best. Not very spicy. But had a clean taste without any lingering aftertaste. The bottom line: the sandwiches I got are 33% more expensive than comparable sandwiches at Chick Fil A or KFC or Popeye's. If you've got money to burn, I guess it won't matter to you. However, I feel I can get as good or better quality sandwiches at the competitors mentioned above. As for me, given the prices for what you get, I'm going to pass on Ray's in the future. 33% more is just too much for me to ignore.

Nice dining room, clean and bright.

Overall a great experience with fabulous service and very good tasting food. The only downside were the tiny chicken tenders. But the flavors of the sauces were great, sliders and fries were all on point. We will be back.

Jukebox played standard country. We came inside and stood there until someone yelled to sit where we wanted, so we did. My husband went to the bathroom and eventually a waitress wandered up with one menu. I told her there were two of us but she handed me the one menu and said that was all she had. I thought that was a little odd, they were about 10 other people inside the restaurant and they had already run out of menus? She was pleasant but I noticed the "regulars" definitely received friendlier service. More people came in and I think more menus miraculously appeared. I wasn't very hungry but my husband insisted getting hot wings as an appetizer. When we asked the waitress how hot was hot she kind of waffled and said they had mixed reviews. When the wings came out, they were swimming in sauce on the bottom of the dish. I will say, the wings were a very nice size, they were cooked extremely well, very juicy and tender, and it was hot. Not hot enough to cry for a glass of milk, but definitely hot enough you did not want to get it on your lips. We were very happy with them and ate them all. We had both ordered the smash burgers with pimento cheese and bacon, cooked medium. When they eventually came out, yes the kitchen was slow but I didn't mind it, everything was still extremely hot in temperature. The fries were thick but very well cooked with crispy outside and fluffy insides and a nice little seasoning salt. The burgers were excellent. Cooked just right, nice amount of pimento cheese, fluffy bun and tasty bacon. We ended up eating half and taking the rest home because we really filled up on the wings. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the food was very good for a very decent price.

We were greeted walking in and told to sit where we liked, so we grabbed a table by a window and took a seat. Our server arrived a few minutes later with menus and took our drink orders. We ordered a basket of fried pickles and peppers to start and they arrived within about ten minutes. Golden brown batter fried, dill pickles and banana peppers, salty, tangy, crunchy, spicy, tasty. A good start. I opted for the dirty south burger, a chili cheddar cheese burger with slaw, jalepenos, and fried onions with mayo and mustard. A hearty burger, dripping chilli sauce, crunchy onions, and jalepenos. A good choice. An odd selection of drafts for a brewhouse? A lot of small craft signs on the wall but not on the board? Anyways, ordered a draft yuengling which was good. But I was looking for the local or even regional microbrew taps and they were not here. The appetizer was really good, the burger okay but the brew selection... sort of a let down 3.5 Stars rounded up for the kind staff all in all worth a stop and visit 01233

We are talking they were sitting out a little too long. They were room temperature cold and hard. I swear they were from the night before. It awful. Our server made it right and comped her meal. But in all seriousness, boneless wings take a few minutes to cook. And you couldn't get THAT right? 10/10 to our server. She was a sweetheart and was apologetic. 2/10 for the lazy slugs in the kitchen who failed miserably at the simplest of tasks. Pitiful.

I have been back a few times since and these issues have been corrected. Food has been on point and the cleanliness of the tables has not been an issue. Service is always very good. Wings are always the best option here. Several flavors and heat levels to choose from. If you want to stray from the wings, then I recommend the wraps or cob salad. That cob salad was actually very good and would highly recommend. Beers on tab and a full bar. Recommend.

Windows were filthy. Can't see how bad they were in photos, but streaks and hand prints all along where the truck grille is and along side.
