So a friend and I stopped here on our road trip from the Raleigh/Durham area to the Mountains, I was intrigued when my friend shared how diverse the menu was(I was a first timer! The restaurant was extremely busy but it was very well kept! I was so impressed at how clean it was! I will say that that there was slim to no organization and/or initiative from the employees who were taking the food orders and you could not hear the person calling well the order was ready for pick up. My food was decent-I made my own burger and got a side of fries and a drink. I thought it was reasonably priced but the customer service and efficiency needs work in my opinion.
I came to pick up some of the seasonal soup, Dairi-o just added back to their menu. I had some last week at their Asheboro location, and I loved it. 12 ounces for $5.99. It is much more a stew than a soup, thick a bit mild, but very flavorful. It consists of ground beef, black beans, pinto beans, chopped white onion, chili powder, herbs and spices, and a touch of garlic. I added shredded cheese, and I thought it added a lot. In fact, next time, and that will be soon, I will ask for the cheese to be double - a single serving was 50 cents. I also added a packet of Texas Pete at various times as I ate the chili, nice heat level. You get saltines and sour cream, all comes together well. I recommend this dish, come and enjoy.
Absolutely nothing beats a hot dog meal paired with a chocolate milkshake from Dairi-O !! The food is always so good and the service here is great, I also really like how they operate the drive thru line at this location because it's much faster service than most fast food restaurants in Clemmons.
Updating my review since we continue to rave about Dairi-O. Especially the ice cream, but we also enjoy the chicken, burgers, hotdogs, and salads. We always make a point to stop here when traveling through the area. Typically I opt for the apple crisp salad with fried chicken, fries, and ice cream. Even when busy, they maintain an efficient workflow with great customer service. Only issue is that they continue to put cheese on the salad no matter how many times I ask for no cheese. Since the salads are likely prepped in advance, I suggest a separate package/section for the cheese. Nonetheless, the salads here are large, crisp, and tasty. They give the impression that I'm eating healthy alongside the salty crinkle fries and creamy ice cream. Most recently we tried the decadent hot fudge cake ice cream sundae!
First time going to this location, but I've been to this restaurant several times before. I am always impressed at how busy this place is no matter what time of day you're here. The service is great as always. The drive-through line is long, but seems to move fairly quick. On this visit, I opted to try the all beef foot-long 1/3 pound hotdog combo with onion rings. YOUNG and rings were amazing and made fresh to order taste it just like homemade. Hotdog is always was amazing this time I got it fully dressed, which comes with mustard, onion chili and slaw. My wife got the two dog combo with french fries along with mustard and onion on the hotdogs. I have yet to try the dessert menu of Sundae's and shakes as I am never still hungry after I eat the meal, but one day we'll have to try it. They look amazing. Definitely recommend that only this restaurant at this location as I will be coming back in the future.
Dairi-O is a local favorite! Food is always fresh and hot and I have yet to find something I don't like on the menu. Their burgers and hotdogs are amazing and they have several topping options to choose from. Chili is great quality as well. I often time get the chicken strips-they're white breast chicken and not full of fillers like what you'd imagine at a fast food restaurant. The homemade ranch is also a showstopper. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed. This location is consistently great and is conveniently located.
Outstanding service at the Clemmons location! I placed my order at 5:08 and received my burger by 5:09- made to order mind you. I've been to Dairi-O a few times, and this location most of the time, and I've never been dissatisfied. But the food tonight was especially good to me. I tried the banana pudding ice cream for the first time and it was SO good, I almost got another. I enjoyed my meal inside tonight too, which I normally don't, but the restaurant is quite spacious and they have a variety of seating arrangements to accommodate multiple group sizes. I also liked how they call out your order over the speakers.
We stopped here on a road trip on Memorial Day with our teenage son and his girlfriend. First of all, the signage from the interstate to Dair-o was fabulous. There was a sign at every turn telling you which way to go. We were amazed that the parking lot was packed when we arrived as it was well after 1 pm. The place gave off a very Chick-fil-a vibe -- spacious, clean, great service and a red and white motif. It was a hard decision whether to go with ice cream or a meal. I've had their soft serve before which was fabulous but decided to go with their chicken souvlaki combo which sweet potato fries. The souvlaki had plenty of peppers and onions with a better flavor than I expected. Tatziki was good and I loved the waffle sweet potato fries. Husband enjoyed his burger and son liked his chicken tenders. We first heard about this place from our vegetarian daughter -- great that they have vegetarian options. We'll definitely stop again if in the area. Please bring one to Raleigh!
The drive through here can be a bit busy sometimes with the interstate so close by. Other than the sometimes longer busier waits, the service is good. It's on par with all Dairi-O for food. Great ice creams and burgers, fries, shakes
First time, won a t-shirt at local mud run, and decided to try it out. It was packed, but is located in area with lots of parking. Inside was clean and the Staff was professional & friendly. We had (Mason), he was great !!! Helped us order and was very patient. We tried the two hotdog combo w/fries (all the way). We also split a Hamburger combo w/onion rings. We absolutely loved the Hotdogs, the chili,& the slaw complemented each other nicely. The fries were well seasoned & served hot. I definitely will be back for this combo. The Hamburger was okay, nothing that made it stand out. The onion rings were good, but the fries really shined. We had a some ice-cream which was really good. I tried Black Bear (I think), very unique and my wife did a shake which she loved. She finished the whole thing which does not usually happen. Overall, a very nice surprise !!! Will definitely be back. read more

Ice cream review. The burgers & fries here are pretty good in a rush. The soft serve is fantastic. $2 for a huge serving in a cone. Unbeatable price. The ice cream is decent but it's just missing something. Staff are always sweet high school & college kids. Even when it's busy, the food is quick and good. read more

This was my first experience eating from here. The tables were cleaned. As it was my first time here it took me a little while looking at the menu. I ordered a Tomato Basil soup and to go along with I also got a grilled cheese sandwich. The soups was really good and it stayed hot till the end. Also the portion of the soup was really good for the price. I was a tad disappointed with the grilled cheese. As you can see the cheese was barely melted. The bread was nice though. I like dipping it in my soup. I would definitely come back for the soup. Some tables had outlets where you could charge your phone. read more

Probably my favorite hot dogs in Clemmons. Bread is always toasted and buttery. Toppings are generous. Fries are well seasoned too. read more

Waited a good few minutes for my food which was fine, I assumed they were cooking things fresh. Got nice hot onion rings only to open my sandwich and find disgusting wilted lettuce and burnt fish read more

5 star. Every. Single. Time. Best soft serve in NC and cleanest fast food I've ever been too. Every time I go the service is great and the ice cream is incredible. Went there on a Friday night, it was packed, and we still got our food super quick. I tried a new burger this time and it was incredible. Honestly highly recommend this place, it's a must stop whenever on 40. read more

Pretty big fan of the ice cream at Dairi-o, but 2 out of the 3 times we've ordered food there's been a problem with our order. We love what we get, but there's been errors which is just disappointing (I totally get that they are over staffed now, but just wish they would do a better job checking what they put in the bag matches the order). I got the chicken souvlaki and I added lettuce and I love this dish! Great portion of chicken and love their tzatziki sauce! We also split the blue cheese wedge salad which I really enjoy, the balsamic and blue cheese dressing together is great. My husbands order is where the mess ups were. He ordered a cheese burger, but it was missing mustard and pickles and instead of grilled onions it was regular. Not that huge of a problem and luckily we had mustard and pickles at home. My husband also ordered the 5 piece spicy chicken wings, but we ended up with 4 regular chicken wings. Normally these little things wouldn't bother me too much but it hasn't been the first time. Ice cream order was perfect though! Highly recommend the s'mores ice cream (best S'more flavor I've ever had!) and the chocolate coconut! read more

Want high quality fast food, excellent service & soft serve? Come here! Friendly staff kept the restaurant clean. Beautiful Christmas decorations. Although it was busy, the staff kept organized and worked fast to get food out. I'm gluten free, so requested no bun on my chicken sandwich. They brought me a huge piece of chicken with a great sized lettuce wrap! Comfortable seating & clean restrooms. The soft serve was yummy as always. Even our puppy got a lick in the car read more
Dairi-O is Clemons is a solid fast food restaurant in the Clemmons Towncenter shopping development. Their burger was alright in comparison to the west coasts In N Out burger, but the fries were great! Would recommend getting the monster/double burger with cheese. Their Chicken Souvlaki was pretty good with a decent amount of chicken. Staff was friendly and food was done quick. Plenty of seating inside if the drive thru line gets too long. read more

It might be semi-unusual to rate a fast-food or fast casual place five stars, but in my opinion, if your expectations are exceeded and the business is doing very well in excelling in their target cuisine. Give it five! I've been to Dairi-O several times at this Clemmons locations, and think it is time to give them the rating they deserve. Each time I've gone in, not only have I received great food, but quality service, and a quick turnaround on my order. Even when the place is hoppin' at lunch time, they keep the line moving and the restaurant clean. They are always well-staffed, similar to what you would expect at a Chick-Fil-A, in this category of food. The items they hand their hat on are burgers and hot dogs. Both of which have been excellent on my visits. The hot dogs always come well loaded with toppings. I like mine the traditional southern "all the way" style, and each ingredient is very complimentary of a well cooked frank. The thing that sets their dogs over the top is the inclusion of a grilled and buttered potato roll instead of a cheaper alternative. Anything you can do to kick that quality up a notch, I appreciate. The burgers are the real star though. They are the flat-top grill variety, and this place knows how to cook them. I go for the double, instead of the one larger patty, because then you end up with two patties containing those brown crispy seasoned edges... literal meat candy. It pairs perfectly with the cheese and any toppings you like on it. Superior seasoning and taste. Orders of fries always include a generous helping, and I've not seen any inconsistency. Always hot and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning salt for my taste buds. On a side note, I love they have the air fired ketchup dispenser instead of a pump... there is something satisfying about how it makes the perfect looking ketchup cup. Ontop of all this, none of it is expensive! I would hold their burger up in comparison to what I get at Five Guys, and quickly point out that it cost me so much less. Keep doing what you're doing Dairi-O, and you'll do great! read more

This place is my go to for a great burger! The ingredients are always fresh and the burgers are perfectly cooked and come out hot. The fries are seasoned just right also. There is plenty of seating at this location while the parking lot may appear full. Don't stop with just the burger though, make sure you get some ice cream before you call it quits! read more

Since it national hotdog day lol.. I decided to get a hotdog.. the hotdog was delicious especially the bun. I don't know if it was Hawaiian bread , but it was a great addition to the hotdog. Bread was lightly grilled with butter, I wished I had gotten the two hotdog combo. They have plenty of toppings for you to add on your hotdog.. hotdog taste better than the cookout .. well prepared. I look forward to trying their other menu options. read more
