My second time to a chicken salad chick but first time to this location. I got the fancy Nancy on a croissant and side of grape salad. The grape salad is stupid delicious. The fancy Nancy was great and I love that I can get it on a croissant !

Olivia's Old South on toasted wheat, with a scoop of Cranberry Kelli. Hope I got the names right.

Trying to get to this place can be a little tricky, as it's hidden from plain view. The building, shared with two other eateries, is sandwiched (no pun intended) between the Planet Fitness parking lot and the on-ramp to I-40 westbound, back behind the KFC. Access from northbound Lewisville-Clemmons Road is by way of Town Center Drive, after which one must weave around several other structures and parking lots to get to your destination. Once the navigational challenge is out of the way though and you've reached the Chick's domain, things get easier. Turn left as you enter the doors and you'll wind around to the counter to place an order. I went with the combination known as, well, the Chick. There are a variety of chicken salad options I could have chosen from, but I went with the old style selection on a sandwich along with a scoop of a cranberry-dotted alternative. By the time I'd filled my drink cup and located a place to sit, the food was already being delivered -- prompt service indeed! My sandwich included lettuce, tomato, and perfectly toasted wheat bread. I'm not big on toasted sandwich bread if it arrives crisp and crunchy; this was just browned enough to give it a bit of texture and durability. The sandwich also held a reasonable amount of chicken salad, though looking back I wish I'd gotten a more adventurous version as the old style option was a bit bland. The accompanying scoop of "cranberry Kelli" was a little more interesting. Both versions seemed well apportioned with chicken and were not overloaded with mayo. Also on the plate were several packs of crackers (nice accompaniment for my side scoop), a rather limp pickle spear, and a small yet flavorful cookie. Together with the drink and tax, my bill totaled something over $13. I wouldn't call it a bargain, but given the prevalent prices in most other restaurants I didn't feel this was especially burdensome given the quality of the food (except that sad pickle). A welcome surprise was the watermelon tea! I don't know if that's a beverage they keep on hand year round, but I'd certainly get that again if it's available. Not syrupy sweet, and a nice change of pace from normal drink options. This seems just the right sort of meal for a hot summer day, and I think I will be back again, even if it means weaving through an asphalt maze to get there. [Management: get better quality pickles!]

I popped in this spot for a quick lunch recently, and chicken salad seemed right, so why not from "The Chicks"! This chain started in 2008 in Alabama, morphing from a home based business into a chain with around 250 locations currently! The restaurant is bright & clean in the modern, fast casual style - so no table service, and there is a drive thru. The restaurant offers 12 versions of chicken salad because tastes vary, even when it comes to a Southern family staple - who knew! They also offer Pimento Cheese and Egg Salad, a few deli sandwiches, and several combos and side dishes! The chicken salad is made fresh daily from "premium" chicken tenderloin - which is a thin muscle under the breast. This piece is removed from the breast and sold separately, and is the foundation piece for the ultra popular, ubiquitious chicken tenders. The chicken is minced so that you are receiving more a spread than a salad (hard to determine just how much actual chicken is there -total scoop is said to be 4 oz of salad. not all chicken of course) and not everyone will be in love with the texture - it wasn't a deal breaker for me but close, I prefer a chunky version where I can taste the bird, and know what kind of bird it was. I tried a 3 item Chick, with scoops of Classic Carol, Fruity Fran, and Jalapeño Holly resting on top of a single leaf of lettuce, and with that (total cost of the combination was$11.69) I got a pickle spear, packaged Captain's Wafers and a packaged cookie. Added a soda for $3.49 - entire meal $15.18 - pricey! Pricey considering quantity and when compared with local options: Clemmons Kitchen, Carving Board, Hero House, Midtown Cafe, O'Brien's, TJ's Deli, Yamas (try their Fig & Pistachio version), and more! Ambiance - 0 (Drive thru) Food - 3.5 Service - 0 (Drive thru) Value - 2.5 ( best guess)

My fave go to lunch spot. I typically get the cranberry Kelli, but I don't think I've had a flavor that I don't like. Grandma vibes but in the best way. This location has a drive thru which is an added perk. The cookie that comes with the meal is addicting. Food is a great value for the price. I only wish drinks were included with the meal.

Buffalo Barclay with pasta salad

Hidden gem in Clemmons! Stopped in to pick up a quick dinner and it did not disappoint. The inside is adorable, has a living room type vibe to it with plenty of tables and booths. It's counter service and there is also an area where you can do a quick grab and go of some of their options too. We went with meals that included a sandwich, side and came with a pickle and a cookie (nice surprise!). Bread options are white, wheat, croissant and wrap and you can opt for toaster as well. Each sandwich comes with a 4 oz scoop of your choice of chicken salad. We tried white toasted with the cranberry kelli, wheat toasted with buffalo barclay and croissant with the Olivia's old south. We loved all of them! Each chicken salad had a great flavor and texture to it. I'm very picky with my chicken salad not having too mayo and this place puts just the right amount. For the sides we had the Mac and cheese, broccoli salad and pasta salad and all 3 were also delicious. I personally love the feta crumbles in the pasta salad. If you are looking for a quick, fresh meal I highly recommend checking this place out'

Dixie Chick Scoop

Came to get a scoop of the Dixie chick. It came with a pickle, crackers, sugar cookie with icing, and the chicken salad. It's very casual, the inside small but there are plenty of tables and chairs, booths. The parking space is very limited in the front.

Chicken salad BLT with side of Broccoli salad and a complimentary cookie!

My first experience trying Chicken Salad Chick was at their location in Concord. I wasn't very impressed and since there wasn't a location nearby I never gave it another thought. When the Clemmons location opened recently, I wasn't in a hurry to go try it because I remembered my previous experience. However, recently my husband and I decided to go give it another try. I ordered the barbecue chicken salad BLT. Wow! I loved every single bite of that chicken salad sandwich. The portion was generous and very flavorful. The bacon was crisp and complimented the barbecue chicken salad flavors beautifully. I also got a side of broccoli salad with my sandwich. This was not the usual saucy broccoli salad I was used to and was actually quite dry. I probably won't order it again. My husband got the grape salad as his side and it was delicious. Each of our sandwiches came with a small cookie and that was just the perfect sweet taste to end my lunch. Chicken Salad Chick is a counter service restaurant. After ordering at the counter you receive a number and your order is brought to your table when it's ready. The service was very friendly and super quick! We had barely sat down after getting our drinks and our food arrived at our table. And they also offer ready-made containers of all their chicken salad flavors to grab and go if you would like. I might just take advantage of that option on my next visit.

Kickin Kay Lynne

The menu looked so good that I couldn't decide. The staff were really excited to recommend something spicy for me. I ended up ordering the Kickin Kay Lynn and I loved it. It wasn't too spicy but it did have good flavor and everything was fresh. The croissant wasn't as flaky as I anticipated but I still really enjoyed my food. The Restaurant very was calm for lunchtime on a Saturday so everything came out really quickly.

I love chicken salad and have been wanting to eat here. I was in Clemmons by myself so I decided to give it a try. The interior is very cute. It is definitely a very southern place the staff was nice they helped with recommendations. I had the southern chicken salad on a croissant with the broccoli salad as the side it was served with a cute little cookie and a pickle. Everything was delicious. I don't charge extra for croissants, which I thought was nice. The little cookie was tasty and a nice touch, I also had watermelon ice tea. It was very good and I've never had it before. This will definitely be a great spot to hit up in the summer for a lighter lunch. I would also get to go for a picnic here if you have non-chicken salad lovers they do have a few other options.

Olivia's Old South + Pimento Cheese

I was so happy when we finally got this chain locally! Perfect for a casual lunch. It's about $10 (no drink) but you get a good amount of food in my opinion. My favorite chicken salad is the Olivia's Old South. It's very heavy on pickle flavor + boiled eggs, this is exactly how I make my chicken salad at home! Pimento cheese is delicious as well and the perfect consistency. Comes with a dill pickle (the only kind of pickles you should eat in my opinion ) The best part of the meal is you get a free mini buttercream frosted cookie for dessert!

I'm sick and tired of giving these guys money, whether it's in the drive thru, through the app, or at the counter in the restaurant, when no matter what you ask or how nicely you ask, they can't get an order right. And it's not like my request is difficult, just don't put honey mustard on the damn sandwich. I literally come here and get a plain sandwich because I don't like chicken salad and my wife loves it. I would rather eat anything else but i come here because my wife is a fan, but don't think I'll bother anymore.

I know this place is known for their chicken salad sandwiches... but the side of broccoli salad is legendary! The chicken salad itself is fresh and has the right blend of Mayo, seasoning, and crunch! I was not expecting plastic table clothes. It felt like the 60's in the dinning room. You order food at the counter, take a number, and they deliver the table to your table. For a drink, they have fought sodas and a few teas. The day I went, they had a watermelon tea, which was very refreshing! For a chicken salad platter, it seems a little overpriced, but will come back again when I'm in town.

Crossaint with a side of chicken salad. Plus the surprise extras.

Food pretty good. Restaurant is painfully noisy between music and fountain cooler. Take-out a better choice.

Great staff and ice cold beer. Always leave with a full belly and greatly satisfied with our food…read more Wings are the best in town. My fiancé is a big fan of the flat wings and onion rings. 100% recommend Ronni's!!

Full disclosure, this place used to be a staple for us. When we moved to the Clemmons area years…read moreago, we would visit them quite frequently. And the food was always on point. To go orders were always fresh and cooked very well, and the few times we dined in, the service was good as well. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars has to do moreso with the past 3 experiences we've had with them. All were to go orders mind you, but there's been a drop off with the food. A few yrs ago, we ordered a chef salad that had all sorts of toppings with it. Unfortunately, the spiral pinwheel filled with meats and cheese had spoiled salami in it. I called and told them what happened and they made it right by comping our next meal there. We gave them another try and the food was ok. We normally get their wings, pizza, salad and maybe another side or 2, but that's usually our go to. The wings we ordered the following visit were dry...even the sauces they were tossed in couldn't save it. So we decided to give them another try tonight since it's been awhile. Ordered wings with a salad and onion rings. These wings weren't dry this time. However, they were not crispy at all. We expect the sauce to contribute to that some, but in this case, that made them more soggy and somewhat chewy? I may not be making much sense in my description, but let's just say I've had way better wings from them and from other places. The skin wasn't crispy at all. The salad was good....nothing out of the ordinary with this one. The only thing that stood out were the onion rings. Oh and their ranch. Their ranch, in my opinion, is the best around. It has to be homemade. I know its been awhile since we've visited them, but we may have to try a pizza from here the next time. I'm not giving them less than 3 stars because I also saw where they're understaffed currently so I do wanna give them some grace. They have plenty of food options there, but when their wings are cooked right like before, they're the best in the area.

Let's take my recent breakfast visit, when I was stuck standing at the counter for five minutes just to place my order. There were no more than three other customers in the restaurant, so it's not as though there was an intense demand. Once the staff finally took my order, I had to repeat every bit of the request at least twice and sometimes thrice. Not a complex order either, but just a biscuit combo. The order wasn't filled very quickly, and when it was I found the biscuit to be far, far too brown (a common trait among the local franchises). Maybe someone out there likes a crispy biscuit, but I do not and I doubt many others want that either. I foolishly thought making an online dinner order might go better, but it didn't, as I learned in a separate visit. The Bojangles app directed me to call the restaurant once I arrived...and no one answered the phone. I met a staff member at the door who was bringing my food, and when I inquired she said only managers are permitted to answer the phone. I decided it might be wise to check my food order, and thankfully I did as the drink selection I made wasn't filled correctly. Back into the restaurant I went, and I waited at the counter for at least a minute before being acknowledged (again, not busy in the least). The staff acknowledged the error and made it right, but never bothered to apologize. Why can't we clone the Yadkinville version of Bojangles and spread the clones down here? Over there they take pride in their work and turn out a good product despite being busy much of the time. How do they get it right over there but we get it so wrong here in the city and its suburbs? Surely the local franchisee can do better.
