My husband and I have been here to the Surprise location on two different weekends and found Chaz (our waiter both times ) to be excellent and very helpful. The manager Rich was also helpful. The food was good and lots of it. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and it was delicious. The blueberry pancakes had tons of blueberries in them too. This place has really gone downhill. We have lived here for three years and have been patrons of this restaurant on and off the entire time. Today was the last I'll go here... On purpose. We arrived at 9:15. We were seated by about 9:20. At 9:30 we finally had someone arrive to take a drink order. We waited another 15 minutes before our orders were taken... Then we waited. Our food didn't arrive until 10:20...50 minutes later. The entire time we waited, zero service. Not once in the hour plus breakfast did my coffee get refilled. Just terrible service. The waitress said they were a little short on help in the kitchen... But if seemed just as short in the waitress department. So bad. And then the food was just average. The one two combo of a failed restaurant. Less than average did with terrible service. I hold the management guilty... When you don't stay appropriately, your business suffers. This is just an OK place. Considering their name has biscuit in it you would think the biscuits would be outstanding - they were not. I've tasted better from Pillsbury. The restaurant was so cold that your food became cold immediately. My husband's chicken fajita omelet has very little chicken in it and it was tasteless. We will not be going back. been here 2xs now. first time was good had the Reuben sandwich. I liked it. there is a worker that tried to clean my table 2xs as I was still eating. dude chill... 2nd time came and had a scramble with chorizo... I have to say the servers even though some are new are all very nice and effective. the strawberry preserves they give with the biscuits and toast is the bomb. As far as breakfast joints go Biscuits is 5 stars. We visited here yesterday for the first time and we will soon be back. It was busy, very busy but the wait wasnt long at all, maybe 10/15 mins to be seated. Our waitress (maybe Kathryn) was great and recommended their cinnamon roll to start off with and it was the best we have ever had! I had an omlett with fresh veggies and perfectly crispy hash browns along with delicious pancakes. I noticed a few tables beside us getting antsy. Asking about why the food didnt come out as fast as they were expecting. To those people i say" look around clearly they are busy, no they didnt forget. It takes time to cook that many plates of food. Patience is a virtue and life necessity, especially when dining out. If you dont have patience maybe stay home and cook your own food." Excellent food and great portions, you definitely get what you pay for. The service was so fast our party of 5 was surprised when the food arrived! From smoked brisket benedict, corned beef hash, chorizo omelette, french toast and eggs with a huge sausage and the egg white turkey scramble, it was all so delicious! Had breakfast there this morning, a little disappointed. Said there omelets are made with 4 eggs!. I think they use pigeon eggs. I make 3 egg omelets for my wife every Sunday and they are twice as big. The ingredients was layered on the plate and maybe 2 eggs laid over that. Might have been micro waved. My 1st visit to Biscuit on Bell, Surprise, Az. was a very good experience. We met with old friends for breakfast and happy that they suggested "Biscuit." I ordered Joe's Sample that included very good flavors. My husband ordered Biscuit & Gravy, eggs, potatoes that looked amazing. Our friends had pancakes with the worths and the server was very attending and made our visit comfortable. The worst breakfast experience ever in my life. I am normally not one to write a review but this place was just horrible. I had not had a chance to go since it had opened so my wife and I went on Saturday morning and we were quickly seated because they were not so busy. The waitress we had to start off got our drink order messed up and had never come over to check how we were doing until I waived her down to let her know the meal was not correct. They brought out my wife's food about 10 min after mine saying that they were waiting on the French toast, which was cold and the eggs were not cooked correct once she received it. The meal I had ordered was an omelette in which my eggs were runny and I had found two small bits of bone. I reached out for a piece of toast to notice a rather long hair upon it. By this time I had enough and we called for her to bring our bill. The manager came over apologetic and we only had to pay for our drinks but swore to us that they were having an off day and it was never like this and hoped to see us return. There is not a smoking chance in hell that I will return to sit and wait for 30 min for shitty and hairy food even if I don't have to pay for it. read more

Forgotten and Not worth the wait! My husband and I decided to try Biscuits Café yesterday afternoon. When we arrived there were many people in line waiting. We put our name in and waited patiently. The girl at the front said it was about 20-25 minutes. Many people got called for a table and we were left sitting there after the estimated wait time had come and gone. Our name never got called. My husband went inside to see if they had somehow passed by our name and the girl said we were next. Well apparently we were not next and had to wait another 20 minutes after that to get seated. The girl told us that someone had taken our table with our name. I call bullshit. Apparently the incompetent hostess's at the front of the restaurant forgot about us and probably crossed us off the list. No one ever called our name. After waiting so long I must say that the food was sub par and it did not taste fresh. My husband's bread on his sandwich was stale, my biscuits and gravy were Cold!!! It is overpriced and definitely not worth the wait or the money. We would rather spend our hard earned money at restaurants like The Good Egg or Mimi's which in my opinion are always good and have great service and friendly staff. Biscuits Cafe should consider hiring bette hostess's that can do their job correctly and efficiently. We will never go back and we will never refer anyone to Biscuits Cafe!!!!!! read more

Stopped in today for the first time and have finally found a great breakfast place in Surprise. Had a simple "scrambler" with ham and eggs which were cooked perfectly, red potatoes which were nicely seasoned and plentiful and a wonderful pancake and biscuit on the side. Having mentioned that I could not decide between the pancakes and the biscuits for my side, our wonderful waiter, Zach, suggested one of each. You don't often find a place so accommodating. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive offering suggestions and making us feel welcome even though we came in near the end of the day. Definitely recommend Biscuits Cafe and are glad to have them in our neighborhood. Oh..and the strawberry jam..yum! read more

Just tried this place for the first time and it's fantastic. Please do not listen to the old, cheap people about the prices or the old people who think the wait staff are slaves. I'm old and I loved it. (lots of senior communities in Surprise) Had the Avocado Benedict and husband had the Brisket of Beef Benedict. Both were delicious with fresh ingredients. I had tomatoes, asparagus and avocado slices and plenty of sauce. The Beef Benedict was loaded with delicious smoky tasting beef. The potatoes were delicious and enough to feed three people on each dish. Since we didn't finish our drinks they gave us each one to take home in a take out cup/lid. Had breakfast there yesterday for first and last time. Much anticipation waiting for a restaurant named Biscuits to open. I mean the name says it will be good home style cooking, WRONG. We, my wife and I, ordered the country fried steak and the corned beef hash. Sounds like a wonderful breakfast, until it was severed. My wife's eggs were not done, the whites were undercooked and runny and my eggs were crispy around the edges and the whites were also under cooked. The chicken fried steak, what a let down, soggy and grisly, the corned beef hash had no taste. All it appeared to be was shredded beef with chopped onion in it, it had no flavor what so ever, and that meant corned beef flavor also. It would be hard to say the red potatoes were warm and my pancakes, they would have worked better as soles for shoes than as a pancake. This is the first time I have ever left food on my plate but this food was not worth eating. I will say, our server was pleasant but when you pay the prices they are asking you expect to get food that is edible as well as. read more

Couldn't wait to try this place. Not sure why they call it Biscuits, the ones they served were small and dry. I expected great food on Big biscuits, far from it. I was extremely disappointed. The Chicken Fried steak i got was a mass produced frozen patty that they deep fried. Come on guys, any crappy restaurant can do the same. How about some real home made food, especially for the bold pricing of your product. The prices were Very high especially for breakfast. We both ate a breakfast and the bill was almost $40. They also charged me $2.50 for having my gravy on the side, which they never told me and just stabbed me with it on the bill, thats atrocious. Shame on them for doing that. When i said something to the girl cashing me out she said, "thats how it is sir, its considered a side". I told her that should have been discussed with me when ordering, gravy still comes with the meal. I got less gravy in the small bowl then they would have put on the meal itself. I will never be back. This place is a glorified fast food joint. You can get a better breakfast at Golden Corral for $8. Sad, another crap restaurant in Surprise. read more
