Came in for lunch with my kids on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. I had read the reviews before we came in so I was expecting good food with a little bit of a wait since it is prepared fresh. It took the waitress (Marge or something with an M) about 10 minutes to come to our table. I noticed that her other tables were not being properly served either. Most of the waitresses were a little older and seemed more preoccupied with congregating together and gossiping instead of working. It took a lot of effort to get their attention when they were not hiding in the kitchen or a far away corner. All of their tables were being neglected. I ordered a cinnamon roll for us to eat as an appetizer while we waited for our food. I had to ask the waitress for it twice after originally ordering it, and never got it before our food came about 40 minutes later (yeah, that long). Our food arrived lukewarm, and the butter barely melted on the pancakes. It had been under the heat lamps for a bit. They brought my 9 year old a full adult order, even though I ordered a kids meal for him. The food was average at best. My check arrived with the cinnamon roll still on the bill, and a full price meal for my 9 year old for $15 when the kids meal cost $6. I pointed this out to the waitress and she just laughed. Said she must have forgotten the cinnamon roll was in the microwave, and she offered to put it in a to go container for us. This was after I had ordered the damn thing over an hour ago. She wasn't laughing when she didn't get a tip for her poor service on a $70 bill. read more

We went for Sunday brunch. We expected a wait. Still what happened was ridiculous. The lobby was packed. We don't mind waiting for a quality experience so we were patient, as were all the other people. But when we noticed that tables in the dining area were empty and ready to seat a new group but nobody was being seated, things changed. We had been waiting for 20 minutes but others had been waiting for 45 minutes. I asked the hostess why there were 6 tables that were ready but none of us were being seated. In a loud and disrespectful voice she told me, "It is not about the empty tables, it's about the cook." I said,"Ok, but we could be sitting at a table instead of standing in the lobby? I would not mind waiting longer but I would really enjoy to sit and have coffee." The girl gave me a disgusted look and replied, "The manager wants you all to wait in the lobby." There was an audible gasp as the lobby crowd let that sink in. Was it true? Why would the manager want customers to be uncomfortable? Didn't that person care about the mostly elderly people who had been forced to stand a half hour before eating? We decided to leave at that point. I can be very patient but I don't tolerate being treated disrespectfully. I think everyone else felt the same way as the entire lobby left the place after we did! Biscuits lost at least 30 paying customers at once. I bet the loss was permanent too. We went to Village Inn which had a similar crowd and yet immediately seated us, served coffee, took our orders, and brought our food within 10 minutes. That's how it's done, Biscuits. You won't last because your service is horrible. Worse than that is the contemptible way you treated us. People don't forget that sort of thing. read more

Placed a to-go order today and was unhappy! We ordered 2 club sandwiches. So let me clarify on the menu they have a California Club and a classic club. I said club sandwiches. Picked up and they were California Club, called and told them and the girl who answered said well you ordered a club..... in response I said you should clarify if people are ordering Classic or California. Biscuits is one of those family owned restaurants that really hits home. 1st time I went there with my bf and his parents and the biscuits and gravy were amazing, on top of the mimosas! Went again one week later and ordered the mimosa flights which were AMAZING. I ordered the chicken fried steak which made me tear up... it reminded me of how my dad would make it. My coworker went after I brought it up and loved it as well. We both agreed the service was so sweet and quick. I'll be back again for sure. I placed an order online for pickup....The restaurant was busy and the service and wait time was to long . Im not impressed with the customer service. There were 3 to 4 people standing around at the register and one person doing to go orders....she definitely could have used some help from the people doing absolutely nothing. Yup you have done it again. Looked up good breakfast restaurants in my area. And this popped up. Staff was amazing. Food was excellent and tasty. I got there at a good time because I didn't have to wait long to be seated. The biscuits and gravy Seasoned so I didn't even have to use salt and pepper it was perfect the way it is. The food here is decent but the service is usually slow so I was ready for that today when I ordered for pick up. I was told that the food will be ready in about 20 minutes so I gave it an extra 15 to be safe. I was here this morning. Let me tell you my waitress was awesome (sorry I forgot her name) however I did speak with the GM Stephanie to compliment her on the waitress and great food. My Fiancée and I eat out frequently. I told Stephanie how much I appreciated her and her team. There was not a speck of dust on the window ledge at the booth I sat at. Every air vent and light fixture were spotless. Baseboards clean throughout. We really appreciate it when a restaurant goes above and beyond to make sure their place is clean. I bet the kitchen was just as clean. Thank you so much Stephanie and the entire team. Next time I will bring more of my large family to join me. We came here for dinner on opening day. This building used to be a Village Inn and they have definitely improved the decor. Everything is now grey and modern with red accents. The staff we saw here were all incredibly friendly. Our waitress who helped us tonight was actually our waitress at the other location on 59th Ave a couple months ago and she was so excited to be opening this location. She was very nice. I ordered ribs and my husband ordered the pot roast. Both meals were enormous. Value for your money is really great here. Both meals were very tasty but I have to say the star of my meal was the mac and cheese that I ordered as my side. That stuff is legit! The owner/manager was walking around and offered us a sample of their bread pudding. We will definitely order that on our next visit. It was delicious. I also have to add one other thing about Biscuits. They have THE BEST jam. I actually used to buy this stuff when I lived in the Pacific Northwest and I haven't been able to find it anywhere here in AZ until I discovered Biscuits. I can honestly say there were tears when I realized they sell this stuff to take home. We will absolutely be back. I look forward to trying the rest of their dinner items! read more

Went here for the first time a couple nights ago, because who doesn't want breakfast for dinner? We were sat down by a host, whom told us the specials a little run down of the place and she was great. We sat there for a few minutes and was told a couple times our server would be right with us. A nice blonde women asked if she could get us drinks, she did. Finally after about 10 minutes our server came out, asking if we want drinks which we just placed. Our server was a manager which was more concerned about her boyfriend being there, then the tables she had already sitting. Everything we told that server, she did the complete opposite. Her customer service is the reason we will never go back. The servers boyfriend even said the food was bad that night, so I guess it speaks for itself. Was even going to express the issue during check out, but the older man in the teal shirt checking people out didn't seem to care if a customer wasn't happy, he just simply said "have a good night". $30 for two people... My family & I came in today it was an hour till close so I don't know if that was the reason for the female manager (older white lady with black hair) to have an attitude prior to us walking in but that was the start. Also every time I've came here alone, with friends whatever the case was we were never seated by a server we were told to "find a seat & we'll be right with you" so that's what I did. The manager began discussing that matter amongst other customers loud enough for me to clearly hear, making remarks as she walked past our table into the kitchen. Once she finally came to our table asking what we wanted stating we close soon, we told we already know what we want I tell her "I want a French toast flight combo" she still having an attitude said "okay great" proceeds to just walk off, didn't ask what sides I wanted, how would you like your eggs, none of this just continued being rude and at this point the atmosphere was horrible just ruined. Diminishing every amazing experienced had here by one awful one and she's suppose to be the manager pitiful. We were going to leave after the rudeness & awfulness already but if it wasn't for what seemed to be her son Jose he convinced us to stay & finish our meal constantly checking in on us. He showed so much professionalism as a server/cook than the own manager who was giving very prejudice from the beginning and never had the same smile energy she was giving the rest of her customers. Then she wanted to try & act nice once she seen there was a problem trying to spark a conversation after she already set a tone/mood. This place is awful! My friend and I went here for a late breakfast and there were only 3 servers in the restaurant but there weren't many guests so i'm not sure why we received horrible service. Don't ever order the caramel coffee it is horrendous and tastes like dirty water with a foul after taste. My friend and I both ordered the build your own breakfast which took about 30 minutes to come out and my friend's sausage links looked and tasted disgusting. I've been to multiple biscuits locations in the valley and have never had an experience like this one. When we brought our complaints up to the server she responded with an "okay?" instead of apologizing or making any effort to make this experience better.
