Everything here tastes like it was either frozen previously or from a box. "Mixed berries" were thawed berries from a bag, I could see the liquid at bottom of bowl. I know what frozen tastes like. If I wanted frozen berries I could buy an entire bag for same price. The turkey bacon tasted like it was the heat and serve kind, pancakes I swear was like bisquick. The point of going out is getting freshly prepared food(in my opinion) The coffee is coffee-flavored water. I'd been to two Biscuits Cafes elsewhere and so expected a similar experience. No luck. The restaurant lacks the charm of the others I'd visited, and it was not very clean. We were greeted and seated promptly and the hostess was quite friendly. The waitress was friendly as well but did not check on us during our meal and when she brought the bill just slapped it down on the table and walked away. My daughter ordered french toast with mixed berries. The berries were frozen and made the french toast cold, and they were bitter which ultimately made the meal inedible. When the waitress brought the bill she looked at my daughter's plate with berries pushed to one side and half-eaten french toast and didn't say a word. A good waitress would have asked if there was a problem. Clearly she didn't care, and she was gone before we could even bring it up. We went to pay the bill and the cashier didn't ask how the food was so we told her. Clearly she also didn't care and became quite defensive, blaming the supplier of the berries, and told us the berries were frozen not fresh and there was nothing they could do about that and if we didn't want bitter or frozen fruit we should have the strawberries which were fresh. Huh? You're aware this is a problem yet you still serve the bitter berries? And how does any of this relate to good customer service? At the very least she should have apologized for the disappointing experience but instead blamed us for choosing crappy food off of their menu. Very confusing. Had the customer service been better we'd give the place a second chance, but this all just adds up to too many strikes. read more

Amazing restaurant! Large portions but does not compromise on quality. Everything is homemade even their most delicious corned beef hash. Huge chunks of fresh meat, unlike most restaurants where they add so much fillers like potatoes into the mix and give you little meat. This place was amazing! There was so much food two people can easily share a plate. Place is extremely clean and efficient. Never seen so many wait staff in a small place before. Love love Biscuits. Why not five stars? Coffee is awful! Very weak, otherwise go for the food...had the joe scramble, so much food had to take half home, and the quality is superb, best joes scramble ever! From SF where the joe scramble originated, better than my hometown. Mixed with Canadian bacon, potatoes, sausage and they don't skimp on quality or quantity. Biscuits are fresh, homemade and out of this world. Great condiment selection, have my fave Tabasco green pepper sauce. Wait not too bad. If you don't need good coffee this is the brunch spot. read more

The food was quite tasty and the atmosphere was cozy. The service varied from one employee to the next. Overall I would say it is worth a short wait for the food alone. By far the most important take away was the water. Talk about fresh. It comes with an appropriate number of ice cubes and a lemon. Not a gross looking lemon either. First I want to say, biscuits is a hidden treasure. As a child my family and I would come here a lot. It was kind of like our go to place. So, I went yesterday, and oh my gosh. It was great. I got the pick three item on the menu. And I got a huge chocolate chip pancake, eggs, toast and strawberries. It was all amazing. The service is great too. I would definitely recommend biscuits for anybody who is looking for a spectacular breakfast or lunch! read more

MADE ME SICK... UPDATED- Do NOT go here. I used to make this cafe a frequent stop for breakfast, however recently they've started skimping on quality and quantity and after complaining (politely) awhile back the (who I assume to be) manager (an elderly lady) has developed a personal grudge against me. Always rude and non-attentive. Last time I ate here I got very sick and suspect my food was tampered with in some way. Very scary! Avoid this place. I am never going back. I used to give this place a high rating, but nobody should fear for their health going somewhere to eat. When you get a waitress that's actually nice and they're not making you sick, the food was actually quite good. (Why I went here in the first place) Thank God I didn't bring friends that day, which I regularly do, I would feel horrible taking them somewhere that'd make them sick. read more

Horrible service! We were seated, ordered, and sat for 40 minutes waiting for our food while others who were seated after us got their food, ate and left. Waitress (Cindy) came by and asked if we wanted to order??? Then says I have your food right here - then why are we not eating it? Waitress was rude and didn't even apologize for the wait. Horrible service. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated but once seated it took over an hour before we got our food. The older blonde waitress only talked to us twice. Once when she took our order and then again when she brought our food. She didn't make eye contact with me at all and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder. Well we got our food, just the two of us, after 30 minutes of waiting just for our order to get taken. Then after another 45 minutes we finally got our food. Only got drinks when we first sat down, and the second time when they brought us our food. As for the food, we got mushy hashbrowns that were burnt on the outside. Dehydrated bacon/almost burnt. The service is not great. We went at lunch time and while the wall warns " we make food as fast as we can", it did take a while. The pot roast soup meat was stringy and not warm. The grilled turkey was good and my hubby said the BLT was they was he liked it, crispy and not too much lettuce. The bill for 2 sandwhich lunches and soda was 25.00. My husband and I ate here about 2 weeks ago. We had been trying other restaurants in the area with much disappointment for various things. We saw Biscuit's Yelp Reviews and figured to give it a go. Walking in, we were surprised that there wasn't a wait and the seating area not to be packed. We were told we just missed the rush as it was about 12:30 on Saturday. We asked for a booth and they only had a half booth available. Still appreciate even the half! (+1 Star) We looked over the menu and couldn't help but nearly drool all over it because they had a lot of items we've searched for in breakfast places but couldn't find elsewhere and also it was made from scratch. While they didn't have fresh squeezed orange juice (only concentrate) my husband still ordered it. Declaring that it was "sour" aka had been out for a while. I ordered an Apple Juice which was very tasty and super cold (just the way I like it!) (+1 Star) The seating wasn't super comfortable but to be expected for a Cafe setting. The food was amazing (I ordered a country Benedict and my husband ordered a standard breakfast - eggs, bacon, waffle, etc). The food was pipping hot (so yummy!) and our waitress was friendly and accommodating (albeit sometimes hard to find, but we forgave her being that our standards might be different from the restaurants). (+1 Star) Checking out was seemingly painless in that it reminded us of a standard diner style checkout. Our only complaint was that they didn't take American Express, which from a business standpoint I understand the merchant charges. Not a huge deal, but still good otherwise (+1 Star) My husband and I did comment on how dirty the restaurant was when we arrived and when we left. Given that it was just a rush we assumed it was from this, however with the amount of waitresses standing around the cookery area gossiping like Hens, we'd figure they could bus tables instead of chatting. Around where we were sitting there was piled dishes on nearby tables and we did ask the waitress to clear it at one point because it was impeding our ability to eat comfortably in the restaurant (-1 Star) We would definitely go back here and give it another try based on this experience! read more
