Horrible service! We were seated, ordered, and sat for 40 minutes waiting for our food while others who were seated after us got their food, ate and left. Waitress (Cindy) came by and asked if we wanted to order??? Then says I have your food right here - then why are we not eating it? Waitress was rude and didn't even apologize for the wait. Horrible service. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated but once seated it took over an hour before we got our food. The older blonde waitress only talked to us twice. Once when she took our order and then again when she brought our food. She didn't make eye contact with me at all and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder. Well we got our food, just the two of us, after 30 minutes of waiting just for our order to get taken. Then after another 45 minutes we finally got our food. Only got drinks when we first sat down, and the second time when they brought us our food. As for the food, we got mushy hashbrowns that were burnt on the outside. Dehydrated bacon/almost burnt. Why not five stars? Coffee is awful! Very weak, otherwise go for the food...had the joe scramble, so much food had to take half home, and the quality is superb, best joes scramble ever! From SF where the joe scramble originated, better than my hometown. Mixed with Canadian bacon, potatoes, sausage and they don't skimp on quality or quantity. Biscuits are fresh, homemade and out of this world. Great condiment selection, have my fave Tabasco green pepper sauce. Wait not too bad. Everything here tastes like it was either frozen previously or from a box. "Mixed berries" were thawed berries from a bag, I could see the liquid at bottom of bowl. I know what frozen tastes like. If I wanted frozen berries I could buy an entire bag for same price. The turkey bacon tasted like it was the heat and serve kind, pancakes I swear was like bisquick. The point of going out is getting freshly prepared food(in my opinion) The coffee is coffee-flavored water. The food was quite tasty and the atmosphere was cozy. The service varied from one employee to the next. Overall I would say it is worth a short wait for the food alone. By far the most important take away was the water. Talk about fresh. It comes with an appropriate number of ice cubes and a lemon. Not a gross looking lemon either. Update, came to my second home last Sunday known as beautiful biscuits Café, and had a wonderful nice fresh breakfast. All of my sweet friends, including Gloria, we're happy to see me. Have not been in biscuits Café in a while, but I was happy to stop by, and pay a visit. I was happy to enter biscuits Café territory, much like Captain Janeway, and her crew would do, when entering various territories, in the Delta quadrant, in the Star Trek universe. Except in this case, I entered friendly biscuits Café territory, here in the Alpha quadrant, here in happy Valley Oregon, to have a nice breakfast, and be around lots of good sweet friends, and have a good time. Got a chicken fried steak, with gravy, and two fresh biscuits, with jam, and a nice glass of Dr. Mr. Pibb, who checked me out, and I turned out just fine, after my meal. Then after I paid, and got on my tri-Met lift bus to head home, had a nice relaxing day, until Tuesday, when I went shopping for food . Lo and behold, here comes a young lady. She said, hi Tim, I stop the shopping cart, and Low and behold,she identifies herself. She says it's laila, from biscuits. Boy, was I so happy, I jumped up and down for joy when I saw her. Apparently, she was getting her shopping done just like I did. Her and I talked for a few minutes, and then after she hugged me for a brief second, she was on her way, and so was I, once I got done with my grocery shopping. All in all, everything from entering biscuits Café to sitting down to enjoying your food to spending time with friends, you are surrounded by people Who love you, and that look at you as a member of the family, when you enter biscuits Café. You are one of them, once you join their rewards program. And I am so happy to be a member of the family, once again. Update, looking at the more info section here on yelp, I have noticed that biscuits Café now offers Apple Pay support. I can't confirm this as of yet, but one of these days, when I had back in, I will test it with my phone, and see if it works. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant, if you want to have a relaxing time, and enjoy a nice breakfast, with friends that you know, who will take care of you. The service is not great. We went at lunch time and while the wall warns " we make food as fast as we can", it did take a while. The pot roast soup meat was stringy and not warm. The grilled turkey was good and my hubby said the BLT was they was he liked it, crispy and not too much lettuce. The bill for 2 sandwhich lunches and soda was 25.00. My husband and I ate here about 2 weeks ago. We had been trying other restaurants in the area with much disappointment for various things. We saw Biscuit's Yelp Reviews and figured to give it a go. Walking in, we were surprised that there wasn't a wait and the seating area not to be packed. We were told we just missed the rush as it was about 12:30 on Saturday. We asked for a booth and they only had a half booth available. Still appreciate even the half! (+1 Star) We looked over the menu and couldn't help but nearly drool all over it because they had a lot of items we've searched for in breakfast places but couldn't find elsewhere and also it was made from scratch. While they didn't have fresh squeezed orange juice (only concentrate) my husband still ordered it. Declaring that it was "sour" aka had been out for a while. I ordered an Apple Juice which was very tasty and super cold (just the way I like it!) (+1 Star) The seating wasn't super comfortable but to be expected for a Cafe setting. The food was amazing (I ordered a country Benedict and my husband ordered a standard breakfast - eggs, bacon, waffle, etc). The food was pipping hot (so yummy!) and our waitress was friendly and accommodating (albeit sometimes hard to find, but we forgave her being that our standards might be different from the restaurants). (+1 Star) Checking out was seemingly painless in that it reminded us of a standard diner style checkout. Our only complaint was that they didn't take American Express, which from a business standpoint I understand the merchant charges. Not a huge deal, but still good otherwise (+1 Star) My husband and I did comment on how dirty the restaurant was when we arrived and when we left. Given that it was just a rush we assumed it was from this, however with the amount of waitresses standing around the cookery area gossiping like Hens, we'd figure they could bus tables instead of chatting. Around where we were sitting there was piled dishes on nearby tables and we did ask the waitress to clear it at one point because it was impeding our ability to eat comfortably in the restaurant (-1 Star) We would definitely go back here and give it another try based on this experience! read more
