The food was great but from what I was seeing online I thought there would be a few more carts, football was on the tv's loud as hell so if you didn't want to watch the game you were stuck not being able to talk to the people at your table while you eat. Cocktails looked good, nice to have cocktail options as well as beers on tap. I want to come back and hang at the rooftop bar when the weather is better. I'll give them another shot but today wasn't a hit.

i came here for drag bingo and it was super fun. Henny, the drag queen, was super nice and an entertaining host. i had the seasonal lavender lychee martini and it was pretty good. it was such a unique flavor combo, especially for a cocktail. seating here can be pretty limited. we arrived to the event 30 mins late and the only seats left were occupied by a water bottle which was the only reason why they weren't taken but no one was actually sitting there. it's also really hard to find parking. i parked in the planet fitness lot and it was fine but i would be wary

We came here to go a specific food cart. I liked the setup and how there were a few other food carts for more food options, and a bar inside. We ordered food from the food cart and drinks from the bar, and sat outside on the benches. But it got too hot for me, so we moved inside. Food was delicious (from Golden Triangle Asian Fusion); we ordered too much food, but was happy to have leftovers. And the drinks we ordered from the bar were also tasty. Service at both places were very friendly. Been waiting for a chance to come again.

Brilliant Trendy venue in Southeast Portland with partnered with several Food Carts to satisfy your culinary cravings. I believe Flipside started in 2018. I'm not sure if the Food Carts here are permanent or if they rotate. "LOCAL CARTS. GLOBAL CUISINE. Satisfy all your cravings with an array of global cuisines to choose from. Join us for lunch, dinner, late night food...and of course, dessert! Our carts were carefully selected to offer our customers the best food in town. BEER, WINE, COCKTAILS. No great meal is complete without a nicely paired craft beer, glass of wine, or cocktail. We have 16 beers on tap, Northwest wine, and a full bar with delicious craft cocktails. Check out our Instagram here or Facebook here for weekly specials!" - https://www.flipsidebarpdx.com/ The venue itself in not very large and the parking lot can get a bit cramped. On a busy day one might have to secure parking on the streets or surrounding area. A healthy selection of drinks are available inside at the bar. The Food Carts are located outside, order your food and pick it up when it's ready. There is a decent amount of seating inside along with a good amount of TV's so one can enjoy events being broadcasted. The rooftop patio area was closed I visited, freezing Oregon Winter...damn YOU!! Not all the Food Carts were open either... At the time of my visit Dec. 2021 there was Thai, Japanese, Jamaican, BBQ, and Middle Eastern cuisine available. I couldn't tell if some of them were on vacation or permanently closed. I'll find out on my next visit...wherever that will be...

Bar is great ambiance with good drink specials- The Fusion pizza cart looks promising ( there was a guy raving about how good the Banh mi pizza was !!) -our go to will always be Kenbu sushi - they rival or beat any sushi restaurant in town- will post more tomorrow after bringing our friends for lunch...

We came to Flipside for a sushi dinner (Kenbu Sushi - that'll be another review). Got our pagers and decided to try upstairs. This was a Tueday evening, about 5:30 - ish. Be forewarned - the upstairs is NOISY around traffic time. Which is most of the time, considering it's location. Conversation can be difficult, but the venue is attractive otheriwse. Another group who was sitting a few tables away decided to take their meal downstairs to the inside (non-open air) tables. I totally get that. Regardless, I'd expect that there's some quieter time to sit upstairs but rish hour ain't it.

Very nice food carts with a bar the bar has upstairs seating for the rooftop to view the city from above. There is about eight carts here. The service was fast.

Full Bar with $1 off Happy Hr 3-6PM, M-F if you check your bill! Our discount didn't happen realizing too late. Cocktail list is full of sugar and spice and not necessarily in an inventive twist, prices hovering $8-10. Nice clean bar and in the midst of the dark cold winter, the rooftop was closed, as were several carts giving us a choice of 3 - Japanese, Thai and Mexi. Note their ramen broth is house made so a must try nex time. Beef Pad Kee Mao handed me a decent jaw workout and flavor was just ok, as in pan not hot enough to impart noodles or meat the quick intense heat treat. Hubby's burrito had less meat than he would of liked over rice and bean, 1:5 ratio and not enough seared flavor profile. Overall a good filler in the pod and cart scene, better to Have than Have not, especially in Lents area with a full bar, but bring some recipes if don't want liquored punch. Next time might be great with cart change up and more that are open and a more sophisticated bar program.

    Hand made drinks!!

The vibes here are so good! The building is modern, clean, and a nice spot to hang out. The drinks at the bar are fabulous! I went mid day in a week day and it was pretty dead though. There were only two carts open and I didn't like either of there options, so I just got a delicious drink! I gave it a four star because it's so limited during the week/day by not having many carts open. But if you want drinks, this is your place! The bartender was also super sweet!

First time here. The food cart is a bit spendy, $15 for wonderful tomato bisque soup and an equally gourmet grilled cheese sammy. My date loved both and took home leftovers. My fresh made burger with a small order of curly fries came under $13. Burger was great, well done and I'd order the Blue Fromage again. Beers were shy of $6 a pint. Service was friendly and fast. The parking is challenging and if you have a big vehicle you'll take up everything between the lines. Overall a good experience.

Would like to stop by coming from the airport ( it's so convenient) with friends but they have kids- what are the family friendly hours during the daytime?

I'm searching for Happy Hour haunts that I can visit with a co-worker. Can someone give me more info on that? What are the hours of Happy Hour and are any free foods provided?

You can get $1 off any alcoholic beverage during the Happy Hour, which runs 3-6 Monday to Friday.

Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

Teen wanted boba, and we decided to order Mediterranean from this place which also strangely sells boba. Yes, I rewarded the chore avoidance. Sue me. I worked four tens, all week my mental health clients were stressed and distressed, and I was honestly a lump. We both ordered a Moroccan stewed chicken that comes with saffron rice, salad, and three spicy sauces - one yogurt and maybe sumac? , one sriracha, and one yogurt mixed with sriracha maybe? We liked the rice, chicken, salad, and the yogurt sauce. Just ok though. Not omg good. I wish the two other sauces had been in separate containers and not on the rice. My mint and honey tea was fine. Kid's boba was not full. Not because it spilled either, because it was sealed with the boba seal lid thingy. For $6 that was disappointing. The hummus and dolmades plate came with one sad not good pita, ONE, and I think our Uber eats driver flung it out the window like kids used to deliver newspapers from their bikes because yogurt sauce was freaking everywhere. The hummus was not great. Teen ( the dolmades fan) said the grape leaves were good. Probably not a repeat in store. One and done.
