All in all, a much worse experience. FoPo Tavern is to the South, The Lodge it to the East, if you want somewhere better to dive in this neighborhood. And another thing! The urinal in the men's room doesn't flush, and it makes the whole area smell of piss! (This isn't new, but I could forgive it based on how good the food/service used to be) We finally went up to ask about our food, after an hour+ of waiting, watching a half dozen groups who came in after us get their food. And the bartender hit us with the "oh you guys are next!". Chris would NEVER. Dani would NEVER. I tried to keep an open mind, but I'll be asking my landlord for a rent reduction since living in this neighborhood isn't worth nearly as much as it used to. Ok it's been 90+ minutes now. I'm…read moregoing to leave out my experience with the food during nacho week considering it was an event and not their normal. But I did try their Jungle Bird slushie and I really enjoyed it. The flavor was perfect and I enjoyed drinking it on a warm summer evening. The service was good, and the server even let me taste the slushie before ordering since I was between a couple things. Someday I'll have to come back and try their regular food, but in terms of a place to grab a drink, I'd come back.

This local small bar out on Foster has some of the best steam rice roll noodles I've had (besides…read morein BC). I know it's strange that a bar would serve this. This place has a unique setup where their kitchen operates independently from the bar. They have an Asian menu (takes cash only) and then the regular bar and some bar item foods that go on a separate ticket. The lady serving us was super friendly to us and made sure we got our drinks and food order in. She made us feel invited and provided great hospitality. We ordered a good selection of food from the Asian menu. The steamed rice noodles were of perfect texture and thickness. It was very easy to consume. We also ordered a couple of noodles dishes. From the bar menu, we ordered some chicken strips. It's the best of both worlds if you're looking for a variety of food. I would definitely come here again.
