I brought my dad here for lunch while running errands. Things that stick out. No warning sign the palek paneer was spicy. Not just spicy HOT. We are not heat people, so it was an unpleasant surprise. Chicken biryani was mostly bone with a little meat. Like the scraps you leave after deboning. This must be a cooking style I'm unfamiliar with. The rice pudding was basically a soup with fruit. That was very tasty if not rice pidding. Soda & ice tea from cans only. No ice, the ice machine was broken. Soda was coldish. As much as I tried to find something redeeming the "rice pudding" was the closest I could get. It was runny but delicious. Service was adequate.

Great service and huge portions! I have not tried much Indian food but this tasted delicious to me. It was spicy and flavorful. Can't wait to try out more of the menu.

The WORST quality of Indian food. Thoroughly disappointed. The subji were all loaded with gravy and not much else. I had 5 cubes of paneer in the mater paneer. I poured out the gravy in my butter chicken to actually see any pieces of chicken. The chole channa tasted like unloaded an entire container of salt into it (which is saying a lot since my wife loves salt). Will never eat here again

First off, let me say that this place has some delicious butter chicken! It's not very spicy but I might have a higher tolerance for spicy foods, but it was really good, chicken is very tender and sauce was great. Only negatives - I absolutely do not recommend dining in here - come on, you don't have free cups of water? Made me pay for $3 bottles of water and rice is not free with entrees - another $4 per rice, kind of lame since most Indian places give it for free with entrees. Also, they have no real air conditioning in the restaraunt so it's very hot in the summer, our server (who was nice) gave us a fan to use in my picture below, but they need to get some actual AC for those Chicago July's, so overall, food good but overpriced experience.

A little pricey but good. The place could use a regular cleaning.... The bathroom and glass doors are always dirty.

The restaurant is clean, bright and inviting. One nice surprise, they have a full bar. Their menu is fairly large. And they were BUSY. They had a line from the back counter all the way through the restaurant of folks either picking up orders (from a prior phone order) or stopping in to order to go. This was nonstop for at least an hour. Saturday night definitely contributed. The food was pretty good. Solid portions, lots of flavor. Of course we ordered Garlic Naan (actually, basil garlic Naan) and it was a good portion and delicious. They only serve one chutney and one curry which I was disappointed by. I have experienced getting a tray of various curries etc. But they were "OK". Had some flavor, but honestly it wasn't flavor-full. My friend said that on prior visits it was better. We also ordered a Mango Lassi (no one had ever tried it so I ordered one so they could try it). It was really good and they loved it as well. We ordered Mango Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. The chicken was so good and not too sweet. My wife loved it. My Lamb was ok. It was no where near "hot" or spicy which I am used to. It tasted very muted and more like an Indian tomato sauce rather than a true Vindaloo that I'm used to. Our friends meals were lamb and fish and were very good too. My Vindaloo was worth 2.5 to 3 stars but everyone else really liked theirs so I bumped it up to 4. The service was slow, but that was more likely to how busy they were. It wasn't unacceptable, just a bit slower than expected. All in all I would try it again. I would come back try the Chicken Vindaloo and tell them to kick the heat up. There are several dishes I would love to try and will try. But right now my recommendation is a "yes" for those wanting to try this delicious food, but a maybe for experienced Indian food folks that are looking for something more like home :)

Very smooth and nice buttery flavor. 5 Chai masala after dinner was nice but had way too much masala for us. My husband is from Punjab and we understand the authentic taste of these items. It was full of cardamom and saffron flavor and topped with whipped cream. Chole kulcha & bhatura is a must-try!! The bhatura was not oily, which was surprising, and the kulcha was so soft. The chole gravy was delicious, and the pickle paired really well with the combo. The chaat items weren't great. Dahi bhalla felt dry and didn't absorb the flavors of the chaat. Papadi chaat was oily, which was a turn-off. Malai chaap was great. The soy was tender and had a smoky flavor. The malai gravy was really yummy and paired super well with the chaap. For entrées, we had the Veg Hyderabadi, which was a spinach-based gravy. All the veggies were tender and absorbed the flavors of the spices. Paneer labandar was super yummy. The gravy was flavorful and mildly spicy, and the paneer was tender. Daal makhani was really great--perfectly creamy and spicy with amazing flavor. I was super excited to try the rumali roti, but it was a bit disappointing. It wasn't soft and had a LOT of butter. The garlic naan, however, was super soft and yummy. We ended the dinner with rasmalai, which was super yummy and loaded with dry fruits. Moong daal halwa tasted very comforting on this cold evening. The servers were very helpful, and the service was quick! Would definitely be back here specifically for the chole kulcha!
