    Beef Shawarma Entree

Food was excellent! I came for lunch and their lunch special is awesome! Comes with a bunch of side salads and you can choose any or all of the sauces - garlic sauce, tahini, and spicy sauce. A lot of food for a great price. Service is also very fast and they are very friendly. There are several chairs so you can sit down to eat or get it to go.

Spent $15 for a bunch of rice with very little chicken. Not much value. Service was quick but not the value.

meat had no flavor, sauce had weird taste and was way too much of it. $24 for a flavorless bowl. good portion size though.

I have tried almost all their items and they are finger licking good. I really love their spicy chicken Shawarma sandwich and their veggie combo. I feel they should get an item out where I could mix the spicy chicken Shawarma meat on top of veggie combo. That would be the best dish anyways coming back again hopefully next week. The service is quick, even though they're busy all the time they give priority on good food and delivered quickly. For the place I feel it's all right, but the food is phenomenal so I really don't care about the place. It's one of my go to place when I'm hungry and I don't wanna experiment. Do try their tahini and the red sauce I put lots of red sauce on all my dishes and a taste even much nicer. Again, please do it if you are able to hand heat if not stay away.

Their white sauce & chilli sauce is very yummy. Just come here to try this & you will become a regular for sure. It should be available on Ubereats or GrubHub as well. 5 stars all around.

The meal was served family style so don't go when you're not hungry. There was plenty of food and it was all delicious; hummus, warm pitas, Israeli cucumber salad, eggplant salad, falafel, rice, green beans, shawarma, and coke or Israeli juice beverages. I loved it all! It was amazing to share a meal family style, make new friends, and eat really delicious food. I'll definitely go back and bring friends to this great venue. The party room was more than enough space for our in group and when I got done I shopped for a kosher candy bar in the adjacent grocery store! The staff is super friendly in the restaurant and store so if you didn't read Hebrew, ask for help! Nobody will shun you! Enjoy the experience of great food, great people, and a great venue. Then go next door and test your never me Hebrew skills as you buy yourself a take home treat.

I looked them all up and was pleased with so many amazing options and started to kick off our weekend of fun at Mizrahi Grill. We walked in and my cousins and daughter were excited about the attached market and asked if we could shop there a little after eating. But first food.... We placed our orders and then waited at a table for them to bring us our food. While they were super friendly, it wasn't the fastest service and we were waiting for quite a while. Finally i went up to confirm they were working on our order and it appeared a few minutes later. It was worth the wait because we all agreed it was delicious! I had ordered a kebab sandwich on a laffa, which was stuffed with israeli salad, hummus, tehina, pickles and french fries (the best part). It was all so tasty, especially the laffa which i'm pretty sure they make in house. It was also ginormous. I ended up taking half home and eating it for dinner. The rest of my party enjoyed their sandwiches as much as I did. Before leaving we shopped for some treats at the market, including a $20 dubai chocolate bar that my kids have been dying to try thanks to tiktok. They split it for dessert later that evening and all 3 of them agreed it lived up to the hype. This is a great food option if looking for kosher food...or if you just want really tasty food!

Tucked unassumingly in a shopping mall in Mundelein, Ararat is a tiny hidden gem. With only about an 8 table dining room, it is a cozy, intimate venue, with a huge and amazing menu, featuring Armenian cuisine. A party of 4, we ordered drinks, 3 appetizers, and an entree for each of us. The portions were generous, delicious, and we probably over-ordered by at least one appetizer, but we wanted to sample and share as many dishes as possible. We began with glasses of tasty Armenian apricot wine. Our appetizers came out in sequence rather than all at once, starting with Italian Lady's Fingers. A mixed salad of cooked bell peppers, nuts, onion and prunes. Very good. Next we were served Khorovats, Armenian style grilled eggplant . Also an excellent dish. Last was beef and lamb dumplings, Khinkili. One of these large, juicy dumplings could have been almost half a meal by itself. I've tried khinkili in a number of restaurants, and these were the best I've eaten. Our entrees were Steak Kebab, Lamb Kebab, Lamb Rice Pilaf, and Frikasse, a chicken, mushroom, vegetable in sour cream sauce dish. All were very good, and were were saddened that we were all too full to try any of their baked goods desserts. The meal was excellent, the small dining room comfy and the service very good. One word of caution: If you plan to dine here you must be patient. Dishes were served as they were prepared, and apparantly little if anything is prepared in advance. The advantage is hot, fresh, and tasty dishes. The disadvantage is that there was a 10 minute delay between service of the 1st and 4th entree. We were in no hurry, so we did not mind. Also we were sharing our selection. For a casual, relaxed, delicious dining adventure I highly recommend Ararat.
