First time trying food from OMG Nafisa's Kitchen! Fast and friendly customer service! Standard clean ambiance of the restaurant. We got Samosas and Butter chicken for dinner - both were good.

OMG Nafisa's Kitchen is off the beaten path from Devon and a hidden gem! We've eaten breakfast, lunch and carryout (dinner). All the food items are halal made with freshly ground spices and ingredients , generously portioned and taste delicious! Overall I'm giving them a solid 9.8! Definitely our new "Go To" Pakistani place. Salman the host is very nice, greeted us each time and served us quickly. Comfortable clean seating. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. Chicken Frontier Rice

I placed a pickup order from OMG Nafisa's Kitchen and tried the Chicken Frontier Rice (Indian spicy)--the portion was super generous, and the flavor definitely delivered! However, I was a little disappointed that the rice didn't have the bell peppers, onions, or veggies I was expecting. It felt like something was missing to really round it out. On the bright side, the garlic naan was absolutely to die for--buttery, garlicky, and fresh out of the oven. I could eat that on its own, no problem. Overall, great food and solid value, just wish the rice had come with the veggies as described. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Food is solid - interesting mix of Pakistani/Indian food with Mexican/Desi options. Fries were super crispy and delicious. Butter chicken is flavorful with some heat. Naan is top notch! Service is sus. Had to get my own silverware. Drink/Mango Lassi took 45 minutes despite multiple reminders that we still wanted it. One of the dishes we ordered never came out. When we asked about it, the waitress first said she forgot and then said she thought we were kidding. Weird. Why not clarify if there's any confusion?!?! Ambiance is ok. Older furnishings. Sticky table cloths. Could use some updates. Really the service is extremely bad.

    Butter Chicken Taco (3 Taco)

Came here on a Saturday night to a quiet restaurant filled with what seemed like locals. The decorations of the restaurant were a bit corny with dad pun food posters but the service was very friendly. We saw this place on instagram & we were very interested in the butter chicken tacos! You do have to ask for the mexican menu as it doesn't come on the main so keep that in mind when looking for their fusion menu. The butter chicken taco was very cheesy, flavorful, & highly recommend the orange sauce to drench on top. The chef came to check on us after we finished the tacos. He was very interested on our thoughts & loved how passionate he was on getting his menu right as it seemed liked the restaurant was still finding its footing. The beef nihari was on the chefs special & we ordered the garlic naan. The naan was beautiful & the beef was well spiced. It was a new dish for me but it was very tender & loved trying the spice with the lemon & ginger. We ate everything & it was all under $40. Definitely a hole in the wall spot in Morton Grove but great spot to try. I get why OMG is included in the title

    Mutton Biryani

I've gotten to go orders twice from here after ordering online through their website. Each time it took at least 25 minutes to be ready (already kind of absurd). There is rarely people eating inside and the ambiance is alright but you can tell it's more of a spot to go. The service is okay too, it is a small family business. I hope they will take the following review as constructive feedback. Out of the 4 dishes i have ordered in total, 3 of them have been absolute disappointments. I have gotten the Mutton Biryani, Butter chicken, seekh kabob, and chicken frontier rice. The Mutton Biryani was the only good thing, although it had more meat than rice I really can't complain about that. The other 3 dishes were bad and nowhere near authentic. Honestly an embarrassment to even have these dishes on the menu. All 3 of them looked and tasted like someone had tried making them at home for the very first time. The butter chicken was at least 20% oil with no butter to be found? It tasted like an oily chicken salan. The seekh kabob were a paste instead of being made with ground beef and closer to shami kabob? I opened the box to find 5 small thick round kabobs and a 1/4 piece just chilling on the side. Honestly found it very hard to swallow these because they were so thick it felt like taking bites of paste. And finally the chicken frontier rice was barely flavored biryani rice mixed with dry boneless chicken pieces, a meh 4/10 at best. After the long waits you would think the food would be better but it's just not. The only saving grace at this place is the portions being generous (not that you'd want that for these dishes) and the prices being reasonable. I cannot recommend.

    Samosas

I had the chicken tikka with biryani and samosas. The samosas came in an order of 4. The pastry shell looks a bit thick and hard. The inside was a bit dense, tasted powdery texture of mash potatoes with peas(?) with spices. I was disappointed at the samosas and cannot finish 1 piece. The chicken tikka was very soft, fall of the bone, overcooked and burnt. Flavors are good. Biryani was decent. Flavor and texture of the rice is good.

The food is very tasty but the portions are small for their heads. Within a few weeks the portions got smaller.

Well seasoned, grilled, meat soft, juicy, the fat is nicely rendered. I would get this again but it's so expensive. Probably only for special occasions Chicken kebab bihari $26- super super super good. I would come just just for this. The meat is super soft, tender, moist. I've never had kebabs this moist and tasty. High way chicken kahari with bone $22- white meat, lots of spicy, some heat..complex flavors. Good with rice or naan. The restaurant was quite packed and full of patrons. Overall the restaurant was very loud and it was hard to hear in there. We ordered the Chicken Biryani, The Highway Chicken Karahi, the lamb kebabs, the chicken Bihari kebabs, chicken Tikka and the beef Seekh kebabs. Although the food looked good, it wasn't quite up to the mark. The chicken biryani was dry and had too much essence in it, the chicken Tikka was dry. The chicken Karahi and the lamb kebabs by far were their best dishes. Honestly though for $228, we felt the food was overpriced and the quality of the food, fell well short of our expectations. Overall, we give Bandoo Khan a 3 out of 5 stars. It is a one time for us. There are better options out there with better prices.

They have only been in business about a month.*** Shinwari grill is new to Devon ave, however, they are not new to the restaurant scene. It strikes me odd they took over Masti Grill's listing with ratings and "claimed" it as their own. That kinda bs is not cool and I inquired with them about it. To which I received a canned reply of, "uh, yeah, a lot of things switched hands fast at the time of the switch and we're still figuring that out." Again, that's bs. Their takeout menus have a Yelp logo on them, their in-store marketing mentions their Yelp page and this web page has been verified as theirs with an update on the new owner. So just note that most of their recent 5 star reviews belong to the last restaurant is all. Shinwari moved in, switched out much of the kitchen with all new cookware and has been operating about a month now. Regarding the previous restaurant: Unfortunately it seems that Masti Grill has shuttered their doors and moved out. Good luck to you Tanveer, I'd always hoped Masti would have taken off. If located in a different area of town and with more accessible business hours, it could have done better. Who knows. You brought a new stance to (late night) Pak/Indian food, surprising casual diners with freshly prepared recipes & appetizers. A detail that should be available across Devon "hotels" but is not. Hotels should not be confused with regular, sit-down restaurants ie Tiffin. In India a "hotel" is a fast food joint, to us here in the states it's a diner. Back to Shinwari grill. Much of their menu is Pakistani food with a few Indian crossovers. (In my mind, much of our food is mutual in name and ingredients. However, there are differences in the amount of oil used to start a curry and a far lighter hand of spices used for heat. Almost always, store bought Pakistani food is mild) Shinwari has been open now about a month and are in the process of figuring out their groove and how best to serve their new customers. So far I've been in twice spending an average of thirty plus dollars on takeout. I'll tell you, I think a free membership for anus calisthenics comes with every order. I'm two in and both times my anus has had a vigorous workout. There's the all night puttering which helps focus your anus to short, loud, bursts. Then the day long, overextended usage of pooping. Honestly, I needed a couple days of rest after those workouts. My orders have consisted of veg samosa, a couple breads and a curry. Over the short time, their samosas got better. The first time the shell was harder and darker colored than normal. I've seen this before with newbs using the wrong ingredients. On the second go, the shell was perfect as was the filling. I'd definitely order veg samosa again but only if they offer tamarind chutney. Presently they offer a sort of raita which to me does nothing for it or your taste buds. (You may like to use ketchup or BBQ sauce.) Don't get me started on their cost/type of breads. I'm not a fan. (Note to self. Get store bought paratha or make Costco chapathi) About the curries. All consistently gave my ass something to talk about. Day long flatulence... wowzers. An okra curry (bhindi gosht) that was so bland, murgh cholay (oily) and butter chicken. The butter chicken had good flavor, consistency and the meat was slow cooked. Too bad it upset my stomach.. but good for me, I suppose. Value vs cost vs health.. I can't be spending all my time on a toilet. Nor can I have a date over if I'm puttering under the sheets. Trust.. it's not fun to be told.. "honey! that's not sexy!!"
