This was nice find for us. We were looking for south Indian dishes to have for lunch while in the Glenview area and this establishment popped up in my Yelp search. Since we hadn't been here, we decided to check it out. This restaurant is located off Dempster St. in a small plaza. They serve a variety of dosas and Indian street food dishes. They also offer Indian desserts, Indian beverages, Boba teas, and Yemeni Adani Tea. The pricing is reasonable. We ordered a Ghee Roasted Dosa, and extra spicy Mysore Masala Dosa, a Spring Dosa, Mumbai Pav Bhaji, and two Adani teas. The food was served promptly. The food is served in sturdy disposable food trays along with plastic ware and hot beverages are served in coffee shop like to-go, small size (paper) coffee cups. The tea was scalding hot as it was freshly prepared. I had to let it cool off. The plastic lid of the cup was tightly fitted and given how hot the cup was, it was hard to take the plastic lid off. The lid was hot along with the cup. They had the hot cup sleeves but they were too big for their small tea cups. The tea was nice. All the dosas were tasty. We liked them. They had decent flavor and texture. They were a bit thicker than the dosas from other south Indian restaurants we have eaten at. That wasn't a problem to us. The spice level for my dosa was good. The accompaniments with the dosas of sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney, for dosa dipping purposes, were nice. We really liked the coconut chutney (w/ cashews) and tomato chutney (w/ peanuts). They were flavorful. The sambar had a nice flavor (from spices & veggies) but texture wise it could've been better. It needed to be a bit thicker. The Pav Bhaji (bread with mixed veggies in a gravy) had a decent taste but it needed to be thick with some body from the usual veggies in it. The Pav (Indian bread) for the Bhaji was really good. Our experience was nice. The service was decent. We were the first customers after they opened at 12:30 pm but a short time later, the restaurant got busy. If I am in the area again, I would go back. Overall, 3.5 stars. read more

Dosa Point has a private parking lot with plenty of parking spots. I had a wonderful experience at Dosa Point! My relative has visited India and stated the Dosa she ordered was so delicious, tasted just like dishes one makes in India. My veggie Samosas were perfectly prepared. I really enjoyed my Brown Sugar Boba Bubble Tea. Our order was placed and served quickly. Wait staff was attentive and extremely friendly. Service is good. Very helpful acknowledge that does not go back-and-forth talking to the manager or anything they are there to tell you what it is like it is. This food is South Indian is not other unique flavours or anything else from their area beyond that. They do make a couple chai. If you are being vegan gluten-free or allergy nuts, this is not the spot as well if you Jain this is definitely not the spot. Majority of their food has contain onion and garlic and potatoes. If you against all the stuff, then this spot is not worth it. The only thing that is is just a sandwich. Also, this is not kosher friendly, double check already, and they said it was not kosher. So catering to peoples religious die or any dietary, they are not very open about it . They like it as our own, and they said they pre-make the stuff and it's not. I've finally found a restaurant that makes very good dosa. We were a party of 4 and we all agreed each of our dosa were superb. They had the perfect crisp, thickness, and taste. Their menu boast a variety of dosa filings, other food toppings and a variety of smoothies. Tonight, I ordered one of their popular ones, Mysore Masala Dosa, and it was good. It's paired with some sambar and chutney, which had a good consistency and taste, unlike the watered down ones I had on Devon. This restaurant makes it very hearty, thick, and quite tasty so it add more flavors to each bite of dosa you dip it into. We were indulge with a taste of goodness. I'm very picky about my dosa, to me it's alway ls best to eat it at the restaurant. The service was helpful, friendly and fast. We had to wait for 15 mins in line to place the order. And when our turn came - half of the items were not available from the menu. THAT WAS FIRST DISAPPOINTMENT. If there is space on your table for 1 or 2 people to site, they will seat another party accordingly on your same table. Hopping new place featuring dosas and other Indian food. It's one of the newly opened restaurants on Dempster in Morton Grove. Dosa Point is on point as far as dosas. It also has lots of fruit teas to choose from, and these are as good as the eating. The problem is it's kind of unorganized which is expected, and ordering can be confusing at times. Came in here at lunch. It still had the Grand Opening sign above the entrance, so it was still a pretty newly opened place. The inside was like absolute chaos, with there being way too many people and not enough seats and tables. Liked crammed inside. Probable fire safety violations. Has lots of fruit or milk teas to choose from. It's about $5 for a large fruit tea. Tons of flavors, but the list of these on the wall was hard to read because the sign also listed all the flavors of the milk teas and smoothies, and these all kind of blended together. I got the green apple. Of course we got dosas. That's in the name of the place. It's about $12 for a dosa. The Masala Dosa is like the main one of these. It has potato filling. This came with lots of dipping sauces including sambar. Also coconut and tomato chutneys. The dosas were massive and we barely finished. Good place for trying dosas. We just flew into town after a weekend getaway and my mom was craving Dosa so we ended up here . It's in a strip mall with 2 other businesses as we entered I could smell the musky air ( a/c off )not very welcoming. We ordered a whole bunch of stuff variety of dosas paneer, onion and ghee dosas , Idli was inspired, pooriand aloo curry, pav bhaji , milk shake , boba and ginger chai. So excited to see another restaurant serving dosas opened up nearby. The food was delicious! Never had Pani Puri before and tried it here for the first time, it was pretty decent. The masala dosa was so good I ordered it twice. The dosa was thinking, crispy and buttery at the ends, the masala filling was a flavorful potato mixture. We had a teapot that was very flavorful and slightly sweet and was tasty. Would love to come back and try some of their other dishes! We had to Google some of them as I'm not the most familiar with Indian cuisine. There's a decent amount of parking in the little plaza it's located. Today, I was driving home and noticed that Dosa Point was open, and I had to try out a new Indian restaurant near my house, and I'm SO glad I tried it out. This place is fantastic and delicious! The service is also phenomenal, and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing! I ordered a Bombay sandwich, which was super tasty and a pretty big sandwich. I also ordered the Pani Puri, one of the best pani I've ever had at a restaurant - it reminded me of street food Pani Puri from India! They also have many dessert options, including mini pancakes and bubble tea. I was too full today to try it, but I'll definitely return to get some. I'll be back to try more of the food and desserts! We're so glad Dosa point has opened up in the neighborhood. We used to go all the way to the Lemont temple to get some good Dosa which is a trek and a half... This is just as good if not better. We ordered masala and plain dosas that were accompanied with tomato and coconut chutneys as well as sombar soup. The dosa was so delicious with the chutneys. We also ordered chole puri which was so tasty. Lastly, we had batture chole...which were like chick peas and puri. We ordered and received our food within 15 minutes. After we parked, we walked in and waited to be seated. Didn't have to wait long at all. We went in on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 and ordered a couple different things. We ordered one of the Thalis, an onion masala dosa, and 2 chole puri orders. We all enjoyed our food. The puri orders were amazing, my wife and I absolutely loved them. We also ordered from their drinks menu as they also do Boba. My wife and I ordered 2 different refreshers, and we loved those. I honestly was so surprised how good it was for a Desi spot. All around the food and drinks were fantastic. Now the thing I want to highlight is our waitress who was there on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 around 4 to 5 pm. We stopped by one busy weekend with very hungry kids to find a large line, and based on other reviews we decided we did not have time to wait. I ordered carry out for a weekday and only waited about ten minutes, and they still were very apologetic and gifted a dessert for my wait, which was super kind. My first time ordering dosa, we tried the masala dosa and pav bhaji dosa. The flavors were great! The dosa was deliciously toasty with a satisfying chewy texture, I very much enjoyed the spicy soup that came with it, but the flavor was a bit strong for my kids. So this place recently opened. About a week ago. My wife and I were hungry and in the area. We decided to make a quick U turn on Dempster St. to give Dosa Point a shot. This review is specifically for Boba Junction and not Dosa Point. There's definitely some major room for improvement for Boba Junction. Stopped by on a Friday evening after seeing some ads on Instagram and seeing their TikTok's. I ordered the Jasmine Green Tea, no sweetener, with tapioca in a bear cup. I asked for no sweetener and the lady taking my order kindly responded that it might not taste good, but I said that wasn't a problem, since I always get my tea base unsweetened at other places and actually prefer the tea base to not have sugar, since the tapioca alone will add sweetness to the overall drink. My drink took 15 minutes to come out. When I received my drink, the bear cup was extremely sticky (probably from the sugar when preparing drinks), which left my hands sticky as well. Room for improvement here: could make sure to wipe down the cups before handing over to customers. The most upsetting part was that my Jasmine Green Tea was sweetened and WAY too sweet for me to drink. This was unfortunate since I did ask and confirmed that no sweetener was the way I wanted the drink. There was undoubtedly sweetener added to the drink. My sister ordered the Regular Size Purple Oreo Milk Tea with tapioca. There was no Oreo to be found, which was a little confusing?. The drink was just a taro milk tea and really just the average powdered taro milk tea you can find at any other boba shop. Cute decorations and good pricing for boba. I would love to try Dosa Points food one day, but I probably won't come back for boba unless they make some significant improvements. read more

The food at dosa point is pretty good. I have had my fair share of dosas and this place has the perfect consistency, it's not too crispy and it's not too soft. I tried their masala dosa and the aloo sag/masala tasted a lot like the desi version of mashed potatoes which my daughter LOVED. The sambar is PERFECT, the red chutney (idk what it's called) was my FAVORITE chutney. I would definitely go back. The service was okay, it was slow so it's not like they were overwhelmed. We were looking for a new place for out ladies night out and thought to try this place out. I had received mixed reviews about this place, but I was not disappointed when I went there. The staff is very attentive and courteous. My 7 year old loved it there. Her attraction was the fish tank and was very happy that the owner interacted with her and let her name the fishes.
