I've dined at Curry Bistro 3 times and gotten take-out once over the past 3 months! All 4 times, the food has been wonderful and the staff and service equally superb. The restaurant has a lovely, cozy feel with welcoming decor that is unlike most Indian restaurants I've visited over the year. My food choices have been vegetarian and my dining partners have opted for meat-based dishes. All have been delicious. The samosa chaat is especially good! The naan bread is huge! A nice bonus is BYOB with no corkage fee. The restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping plaza across from the Glenview METRA station and library so it is not as visible as some of the larger restaurants in Glenview. We went to Curry Bistro to try something new in the area and we were a bit disappointed. The ambiance is good for a small group or for couples. And their service was good but the food was just okay. We got: Garlic Naan: 7/10 they only sell it per piece and it's $5 each and you can get it cut up like we did. We would prefer a bread bowl where we had an assortment instead. Samosas: 6/10 good I wish the chutney had more of a kick spice wise. Butter chicken: 7/10 basic and simple item pretty standard. Palak Paneer: 6.5/10 standard item but felt like it was missing some spices that other spots have to deepen the flavors. When I was there we asked if the entrees came with basmati rice or some sort of carbs or if we had to order and were told we would have to order it so we got the naan. Food was brought out with a bowl of basmati rice which was confusing. I think the Indian food was good if you're in town and don't want to travel further for Indian food but I would say other spots have better portions for a cheaper price. For the items we got and including tip it was around $60-70. Which is pretty high for small portions. read more

Amazing food and ambiance! Everything came out hot and spicy! The service was good and our server was really patient and nice. We also got the garlic naan and samosas, which were REALLY GOOD! The lamb vindaloo was AMAZING! The meat was tender and the stew was spicy and seasoned to perfection! The biryani was aromatic and so flavorful! The shrimp curry had a decent amount of spice, but nothing too crazy; still very good! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

We ordered take out on Halloween and the food was ready in about 20 minutes. We ordered Chicken Makhani, lamb biryani, chicken momos, samosas and gulab jamun. Everything was great. Lots of flavor and appropriately spicy. Portions were reasonable for the prices. I would definitely order from here again. It's really great to have a good Indian restaurant in Glenview. read more

My wife and I ordered takeout from here, and we were pleasantly surprised and impressed with their food. We both love Indian cuisine, and this was some of the best we've had. We live near Devon Avenue, where there are many Indian restaurants, and we've tried several of them. But man, Curry Bistro blew the others away. If there was a minor complaint, it was that the portions were a bit small for the price. Still, I'll definitely go back. The service was excellent. The young man called me to confirm I was still on my way to pick up my order. It was our first time dining there, and I got lost. The restaurant was busy with people, and the ambiance was pleasant. I thought everyone was dressed casually and chatting among themselves. I'm actually thinking about going there again tonight. Visiting twice in one week shows how amazing their food is. read more

Good food and great service! We're visiting relatives and it was our first time trying this restaurant, so we ordered a bunch of different dishes. One of them turned out to be missing and they offered to drive it over to us which was really, really generous of them especially since it was late and cold out. (And they did it pretty quickly too!) Some of the dishes we ordered: Palak paneer - smooth and creamy, with large pieces of paneer Lamb saag - also smooth and creamy with soft chunks of lamb with a slightly different flavor than the palak paneer Lamb vindaloo (spicy!) - the kids really liked it Goat biryani - good flavor, though since it is a goat dish, it does have bones in it. The garlic naan has crisp edges and garlicky, while the regular naan was soft and not too salty. masala aloo - flavorful and soft potatoes chicken tikka masala - mild and creamy While we didn't eat in, the place was cozy and nicely decorated with two TVs. This is my go to Indian spot anytime I'm in Chicago. The staff is great and the food has not disappointed. I always start with a Samosa and got the lamb tika masala this time instead of chicken, it was a first for me. It was delicious. The best Indian takeout food in the northern Chicago area. My only concern with home delivery is that they sometimes leave it on the doorstep without telling you, and you can end up with cold food. You need to watch out for that. read more

The food was incredible, temperature hot, and of amazing quality. I was checked on multiple especially whenever I was out of water they quickly refilled. The lighting was perfect, dim but not too dark. I was able to see everything clearly with a warm lighting.
