They gave me some home brewed tea, unprompted, and on the house. Had a nice time with the staff. Asked about the holiday and its significance in Islam. I shared a bit about my Jewish background. Then the garlic naan arrived and tasted suspiciously like something that had recently completed a successful career at Costco. If they have a tandoor, it's apparently being used for storage. To add to the experience, there was live singing. Unfortunately, the entertainment seemed to receive more attention than the food. My humble suggestion: spend less time rehearsing songs and more time rehearsing recipes. The grand finale? The morning after, both my son and I were dealing with indigestion. Nothing severe, but it was a fitting encore to an already memorable evening. I rarely write negative reviews, but when a restaurant charges premium prices, I expect more than tiny appetizers, delayed food, questionable naan, and a digestive adventure. Tender chicken w/a rich red sauce & a plate of rice w/cilantro. * Non Vegetarian Lunch Combo - chunks of crispy chicken w/rice & cilantro.
