    Chicken Karahi

Ordered the chicken karahi and garlic naan . DELICIOUS and good portion. The picture is not the full plate size we ordered it to go and ended up eating inside. My boyfriend and I split a meal and still had leftovers. Welcoming staff definitely more of a takeout place but we did dine in;they have a few tables inside. 10/10. Great service !

This is a small family Indian restaurant in Libertyville. Excellent food. The dining room , if you can call it that, was tiny with three tables but packed full. Everyone in the restaurant was Indian and all said they eat there regularly. Portions were great, service was great.

The butter chicken is sooooo good. The mild didn't have any spicy - which I enjoy (I don't really like spice) The serve it Mild, Medium, or Hot. It comes with basmati rice & ready within 15 minutes. Their food is SO fresh & tastes phenomenal. Love love love

As soon as I had heard there was a new Indian restaurant in the area, my family and I had to try it. Most of the Indian restaurants in the area are more of a hike from our home in Volo, so a location in Libertyville was a welcome addition. Upon looking at the menu, the first thing I noticed were the reasonable prices, as Indian food can be pricey. Although our favorite dish, Chicken Tikka Masala, wasn't on the menu, we decided to give the butter chicken a try along with samosas and naan. The samosas were very delicious and flavorful. The butter chicken, while a little on the sweet side, was also very good. Quick tip: the dishes don't come with any rice, and the containers of rice are kind of small, so I recommend 2 orders of rice per dish. Next visit I look forward to trying something new as I'm sure the other dishes in the menu will be as delicious as what I've already tried.

Really good Indian food. The service was great, very nice guy at the front. It has a few tables to sit in and eat for a quick lunch.

The restaurant is clean, bright and inviting. One nice surprise, they have a full bar. Their menu is fairly large. And they were BUSY. They had a line from the back counter all the way through the restaurant of folks either picking up orders (from a prior phone order) or stopping in to order to go. This was nonstop for at least an hour. Saturday night definitely contributed. The food was pretty good. Solid portions, lots of flavor. Of course we ordered Garlic Naan (actually, basil garlic Naan) and it was a good portion and delicious. They only serve one chutney and one curry which I was disappointed by. I have experienced getting a tray of various curries etc. But they were "OK". Had some flavor, but honestly it wasn't flavor-full. My friend said that on prior visits it was better. We also ordered a Mango Lassi (no one had ever tried it so I ordered one so they could try it). It was really good and they loved it as well. We ordered Mango Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. The chicken was so good and not too sweet. My wife loved it. My Lamb was ok. It was no where near "hot" or spicy which I am used to. It tasted very muted and more like an Indian tomato sauce rather than a true Vindaloo that I'm used to. Our friends meals were lamb and fish and were very good too. My Vindaloo was worth 2.5 to 3 stars but everyone else really liked theirs so I bumped it up to 4. The service was slow, but that was more likely to how busy they were. It wasn't unacceptable, just a bit slower than expected. All in all I would try it again. I would come back try the Chicken Vindaloo and tell them to kick the heat up. There are several dishes I would love to try and will try. But right now my recommendation is a "yes" for those wanting to try this delicious food, but a maybe for experienced Indian food folks that are looking for something more like home :)

Servers are friendly, knowledgeable about the food and give you time and space for you to enjoy your meal. Appetizer: Singh's Wings - Mukhni sauced. Tender, flavorful, medium spiced and very enjoyable. 5 Entrees: Saag Chicken-Balanced flavor, not spicy, generous amount of chicken. 3.5 Singh's Biryani- chicken, shrimp and potato served in a stone warm pot. Plentiful amount and a nice flavor profile. 4 Tandoori Seekh Kabob - made with lamb meat, spicy and sizzling on a bed of onions. Really portioned nicely and delicious with paratha's! 5 Desert: Moong Dahl Halwa - A definite must try! Very smooth and nice buttery flavor. 5 Chai masala after dinner was nice but had way too much masala for us. My husband is from Punjab and we understand the authentic taste of these items. I think you can ask to adjust the masala according to your taste. 2

Feather Glass Wine Bar & Eatery - Vernon Hills, IL…read more Overall Rating: Highly Recommended Feather Glass is a fantastic spot that nails the wine bar experience with a beautiful, modern aesthetic and top-tier service. While the food is incredibly tasty, a few minor tweaks to the composition and seasoning of certain dishes would make the experience truly flawless. The Highlights: Drinks, Ambience, & Service * The Flights: We thoroughly enjoyed both the wine and mimosa flights. They are well-curated, beautifully presented, and a great way to sample their extensive selection. * Atmosphere: The ambience is excellent and sophisticated, making it one of the most visually appealing spots in Vernon Hills. * Service: The staff provides excellent service--attentive and professional throughout the entire meal. Food Feedback & Suggestions * Mediterranean Flatbread: Very flavorful, but the olives can make it quite salty. Adding a balsamic glaze would provide a sweet contrast to balance out the saltiness. * Beet Salad: Features fresh, high-quality ingredients. This dish would benefit from a touch more salt and a bit more acid (like a bright vinegar) in the dressing to really highlight the earthy beets. * Paneer Palak Bites: A delicious fusion idea, but the execution was slightly misleading and difficult to eat. The bread lacked the expected toasted crispiness, and because the paneer is served in a thin slice, it often slides off, leaving the sauce on the plate. * Suggestion: Try chopping the paneer into small cubes, bruschetta-style, and mixing them directly with the sauce. Layering that mixture onto a properly toasted baguette would create a much more stable and crunchy bite while keeping the great texture of the cheese. Final Verdict Despite these small suggestions, this is a great restaurant that you should definitely check out. The flavors are delicious and the overall experience is wonderful.

The 5-star rating for this restaurant is very misleading…read more My husband and I came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate our 14 year anniversary. There were only two other tables there when we arrived. Nice ambience and decor. Everything arrived lukewarm or cold which is so odd considering there weren't a lot of people there. We waited quite a bit too so were shocked when our food wasn't hot. Paneer Palak Bites: Flavorful and yummy. A lot smaller than I thought they would be and they give you 5. My husband and I split the last one but I'll never understand why appetizers would be served in odd numbers. Especially considering how small and thin the baguettes were. Chicken Sliders: Tasty! The naan "buns" were a little thick though and had a weird greasy taste. We ended up taking the top naan off and eating it like a taco. The potatoes it came with had a lot of flavor but were tiny mushy little cubes. Almost as if they were frozen. Chicken Kabobs: Rice was cold. Some of the chicken wasn't cooked. I had to shine a light to the plate because it tasted off and it was pink. The waitress saw me do this but didn't approach us or say anything. We're not ones to complain so we just ate what we could. Honestly though, we could have went down the street to Pita Inn and had WAY better quality and warm food. The chicken at Pita Inn is always so moist and tender. This was literally pink, chewy and hard to cut. It was just terrible. Ended up spending about $160 including tip and the bottle of wine we had. For that price, you'd expect much better quality of food. Really wanted to love this place so it's very disappointing. We ended up going out for pizza and beer afterwards to end the night on a good note.

We started with the chicken lollipops. The taste was decent, but apparently the chickens they use are roughly the size of sparrows. Next came the Bang Bang Shrimp. The chef might want to take a field trip to PF Chang's and try their Dynamite Shrimp just to see what the dish is supposed to accomplish. The momos were ordered as appetizers, which I assume means they're intended to arrive before the meal. Ours showed up just as we were finishing our entrées. Maybe they were traveling from Nepal on foot. The goat curry was actually pretty good, which briefly gave us hope. Then the garlic naan arrived and tasted suspiciously like something that had recently completed a successful career at Costco. If they have a tandoor, it's apparently being used for storage. To add to the experience, there was live singing. Unfortunately, the entertainment seemed to receive more attention than the food. My humble suggestion: spend less time rehearsing songs and more time rehearsing recipes. The grand finale? The morning after, both my son and I were dealing with indigestion. Nothing severe, but it was a fitting encore to an already memorable evening. I rarely write negative reviews, but when a restaurant charges premium prices, I expect more than tiny appetizers, delayed food, questionable naan, and a digestive adventure. The biggest mystery of the night remains how this place maintains such a high rating.
