They also have sweet treats like mango lassi which is also good and cooling after the spicy food. Being 100% honest, the people make the place even better. Every time I've come in, the people working are so generous and hospitable- offering insight and even samples for their food. The inside is also super nicely decorated and the music is "vibey" too (my bf's exact words). Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! I've been twice already, which says a lot, and the first time I ordered the Malai Spicy Rice Bowl. And the spice? It was spicing. In the best way. So flavorful, bold, and the kind of heat that makes you happy instead of crying in regret. We also tried the chicken samosas, and even those had a little kick to them. 10 out of 10. My husband ordered the Nehari Spicy Rice Bowl and it was absolutely delicious. So good that I immediately thought, my out of town spicy food loving family would devour this. Fast forward to them coming down for Monster Jam, we made them stop here before the show. Zero disappointment. Plates cleaned. Silence at the table, which is the universal sign of good food. On our second visit, we tried the wraps. Seriously very good Pakistani food. I have nothing but good things ti say about every item I had here when it comes to the flavor and the accuracy of how it tasted back when I visited Pakistan. Even though it's called Biryani Boys, I had to try their Chapli Kabab Burger just because it's been such a long time since I have had it. I made it a combo with their Masala Fries and Premiun Drink Upgrade to Iced Kashmiri Tea. The food was ready and the flavor did not disappoint at all. Great job on the balance of flavors and spices and the Kashmiri Tea was phenomenal. It was so good I had to try their Falooda which was one of my favorite desserts. Once again it didn't disappoint. Now unfortunately while everything was great here. The only thing I would say is the portions were very small the burger looked huge in the picture but it is a smash burger so it's very small and so was everything portion wise. For $11 just the burger itself it might be something after the first time people may wonder it's worth. Same with the Falooda. However the Pulao was great. The chicken Karahi was perfect and really want to try the other ones. We are absolutely blown away. I don't think I have ever in my life said that about a fast casual restaurant or concept. But this place! First of all, conceptually, it's brilliant. Pakistani street food at fast casual prices, but made into familiar dishes. They make a fantastic chapli kebab, laden with coriander seed and chili and chopped onion, and serve it smashburger style, with cheese and both pickled onion AND fried onion (again, brilliant) on a potato bun. They serve it with french fries that they sprinkle with chaat masala rather than just salt. I'd eat my foot if it was fried and coated with a good chaat masala, so this is another stunning idea. We tried the samosa chaat, one of the few items on the menu that was straight up and not fusiony. Wife ate literally the whole thing, minus the two bites I managed to grab. ;) The mainstays of the menu are stewed malai/karahi chicken, chapli kebab, nehari beef, or potato kabob that you can either get Chipotle-style over their biryani rice, or as a roll in a paratha (burrito-like. This is a familiar concept in southern CA). They have chai, hot or iced, Kashmiri or karak. They're fabulous. They have mango lassi, a rose lassi, and a guava mango lassi, which leans almost milkshakey in its sweetness and texture. Didn't try the actual milkshakes, but I'm sure they're delicious. You might wonder why I think it's so brilliant, as it's just Pakistani street food. 1) I LOVE street food. 2) the execution. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. They got the food to my table fast. It tasted like real food, as in not garbage from Sysco. They intuited that it was our first time in the shop and gave us samples of things to help us decide. The owner said hello and when I went on and on about how great it was, he seemed grateful for the feedback. And he let us try the gulag jamun cheesecake!! YUM!! Then we begged him to open an outpost in Los Angeles so we could go weekly :-) What a find. Stunning restaurant, and within spitting distance to The Grove of Anaheim for a show. The $9.99 is super affordable but I think making it a premium combo for an extra $10 is a good deal bc the premium drinks (like the lassis) are normally about $7-$8 while the fries are normally $6. Gahdang this place is so good. Every time I come I mean to write a review and forget but not today! Between me and friends we've had just about every item on the menu. All of it is excellent. We like it so much we had our annual Christmas dinner here last year and had multiple tables full, just chatting and sharing all the eats. The staff is so sweet and lovely. When we order they offer us samples of all the items (meat/sauces/rice) to make sure we get what we want and good news for the real whiteys - things that aren't too spicy. My go to is the bowl with pulao which is like Pakistani fried rice, topped with the malai chicken and the MILD JALAPEÑO SAUCE. When I say I would bathe in this sauce, I mean, up to my neck. I used to get the regular chai - worries that the Kashmiri would have too strong of a rose flavor. I tried it once and switched. The rose is so subtle but complimentary to the richness. It's rich, full of warm spices and the perfect amount of sweet. The samoas are very good. The chicken and the veg both. The chicken ones are wrapped in the most delicate paper similar to a wonton or lumpia. And the vegetarian ones have an incredible hand made crust. Perfect thickness, excellent filling. Vegetarians!! Rejoice!! The potato kebab will change you. Crunchy, creamy, lovely. Both rices - spicy and pulao, samosas. Potato burger. On and on options. Biryani box ($15 + $1 up charge for nehari) - this came with a spiced cucumber and tomato salad, Sindhi biryani (spicy and aromatic long grain basmati rice ), and 2 proteins. I went with the malai chicken (yogurt marinated chicken) and the nehari (slow stewed pulled beef). The nehari was surprisingly bland and a little on the thin side. Even more disappointing was the malai chicken, no where as good as the one served at nearby Bundoo Khan. It didn't have much in the way of yogurt nor was it soft and tender. I'm not much of a biryani person but this wasn't very good. Also the quantity of proteins they give you for the price is small. Biscoff tres leches cake ($8.50) - This consisted of milk cake layered with biscoff and cream. It wasn't overly sweet which was a good thing and was comparable to other ones served at chai houses in the O.C. Kashmiri chai milkshake ($8.50) - The Kashmiri chai flavor was slightly floral but the milkshake was disappointing and so icy. I would avoid getting this drink all together, it was so bad! The ambiance is nice inside with 2 huge murals and the staff were amazing. They let us sample a few of the meats before we choose. It's definitely a bit on the pricier side (about $18) for the amount that's given so I'm not sure if I'd be coming here regularly. There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about Biryanis Boys. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing and every employee happily greeted us and answered any of our questions. They let us try samples of the meat, the chai and even hooked it up with some falafels. I did not expect such great service less than an hour before closing. They even put cartoons on the tv for the kids. I got the bowl with the Karahi Chicken. It was spicy but it was doable for me. For others, it might be too spicy for you. I really enjoyed my bowl. The chicken was tender, flavor and had a nice kick. I also got the pink chai and that was DELICIOUS. The portion of quite a lot. I could have shared my bowl with my wife. The inside was a tad bit on the darker end but had tons of lights in the inside. Sick Art murals inside as well. Again, nothing bad I can say about BB. Excellent service with excellent food. This place was so good! I was so happy to have a place in the Platinum Triangle that actually has good food. The spice was not too hot and very flavorful. The mango lassi was amazing. We got the family combo that came with 2 rolls and 2 bowls. They were both so good! The customer service was great, too! The girl at the counter was so sweet and attentive. Loved the vibe of this place. We tried loaded fries, biryani box and roll. We are amazed by the unique taste of loaded fries. The seasoning and flavours were spot on. Do you like bold flavors? Do you enjoy good food? Then you need to come experience this for yourself. Not gonna lie the menu is a little overwhelming and you kind of have this umm moment where you are trying to decide which base, protein, and sauce. Ask for help or samples, they are excited to share with you. And if you are like me and can't do spicy, make sure to stick to mild. We are not medium people that spice level jumps. Stay mild. The raita sauce is bomb, get an extra that sauce needs to be slathered all over. And if you do a base of salad or bowl, order a flatbread on the side (maybe two for leftovers). Believe me it completes the meal. Didn't try the dessert, even though I was side eyeing it while ordering. If it's as good as the food, damn just order one you can always take it home.
