Really cool concept. Unfortunately quite overpriced for a fast casual model. Staff seemed pretty overwhelmed by the volume and made quite a few mistakes with my relatively simple order. The expediter/assembler/lead cook was obviously lost, however, he was pleasant and very willing to help/listen to me when I was pointing out mistakes with the order. I really don't understand how it takes so long. I've been in the drive thru for 25 minutes before. I came back again after not returning for awhile and I was one of two cars in the drive thru and it still took 15minutes. Every time I look through the drive thru window it doesn't look like anyone is doing anything. 3 employees were just sitting on their phones with their masks off. First visit, it took 20 minutes to get through the drive through, despite nobody ahead of us. At about $15 a person I had high hopes, but the chicken was bland and overdone. Thought I might try a different dish, but when I went by today there were 10 customers waiting on their food, and the drive through was closed (they used two yellow chairs to 'close' it - classy). I really want to like this place, and the restaurant group usually puts out winners, but the food is mediocre. For some reason the RiNo location seems to be the most consistent. Evans is by far the worst. We've been three times. Last time it took them 15 minutes to provide the beer we ordered. Today the drive thru was kinda closed...in which they had a chair blocking the lane so it caused major traffic issues on Evans and the surrounding parking lot. With the experience this restaurant group has you would think they could get this outpost running smoother. The food wasn't horrible, but again, portions were comical. For $14.76 I shouldn't be thinking. About stopping at the dollar menu at McDonald's ten minutes after I got my food. The interior and exterior design are interesting for a fast food concept, though a bit crunched inside while ordering, finding a table and eating. The quality and price is a step up from Chick-fil-A with Birdcall having locally sourced ingredients, a better drink selection, better sauces, and you can even get craft beer, wine and specialty coffees and unique milkshakes. I love Birdcall, I'm so happy they finally opened a decent drive-thru close to me. I could eat there everyday, everything is freshly made when ordered.
