Pet peeve of mine in food service; their staff pointlessly wear gloves that they also perform every other job duty with, besides preparing food. That's an automatic single star for me. If you're going to touch my food with the same gloves you touched the prior customer's cash with (disgusting), or replaced the paper on the credit card machine, or tapped on the same screen my potentially dirty hands just tapped on, well, what is the point? You're better off just not wearing gloves and washing your hands between tasks. The guy there on the night I went even picked a pen up off the floor before preparing a customer's food. Besides that, on the night I went, they were out of fries, out of half the toppings, out of several meats, and then decided to point out to me that they are normally dead by that point in the evening so he wasn't sure why they were even staying open that late. I don't recall which sandwiches the others ordered but I do recall everyone being pleased with their selections. Yuck. I really didn't think there was any such thing as a bad sandwich but Which Wich managed to pull it off. First of all the 7 inch sandwich was nowhere near 7 inches. But maybe that was a good thing because it was absolutely disgusting. I had been a customer here for several years. But I will not be returning. Why? When I showed up for my free birthday sandwich, and inquired as to why I'd not received the usual email with a coupon for the birthday sandwich, I was told "we switched to an app". When I explained I do not have a "smart phone" and hence have no access to an "app", the clerk did not care and did not offer the free sandwich despite my verifying my phone number and birthdate. They instantly lost a valued customer of many years. Not very smart of "Which Wich" to devalue their "app-less" though longstanding and now previously loyal customers. I filed an online complaint with Which Wich corporate in Dallas. I received an email from the Buchtel shop manager, a Makenna Shafer, presumably attempting to rectify the bad situation by offering to mail me a coupon for a free sandwich. I provided her my mailing address. It's been three weeks and I've received nothing. I called Schafer this week inquiring about the coupon and she was terse and bored and said she has no idea when I'll receive the coupon. I asked for her superior, and was provided a "Comcast" email address. He has not replied. read more

There are a lot of great things about this Which Wich location. They have never once gotten my order incorrect. 100% accuracy is very impressive and should be applauded. Additionally the food is great and high quality. However, the biggest complaints are in regards to the payment system. I requested an email receipt on their tablet and never received it, even after looking in my junk mail. Additionally the staff member never asked if I wanted a paper receipt. I contacted them later and they said they were busy and would forward the request to the team. Too busy to email me my receipt that I never received??? Pretty ridiculous. Additionally, the number of places that don't accept Apple Pay, is getting lower by the day. The fact that Which Wich still doesn't accept chip cards or Apple Pay is crazy in today's world. Improve your receipt system, improve your customer service and don't tell me you are too busy to get me a receipt, and accept Apple Pay, and you got yourself a 5 star review. read more

I don't normally write reviews on fast food chain restaurants, because I am a prick. But I am suave, so it's okay. Subway made sub sandwiches available to every part of the country - no matter how backwards or gentrified. Quizno's ran with the concept, with a better sandwich and a respectable chili. Which Wich has taken the quick chain sandwich game to a whole new level. If you read my reviews, or know me personally, you know that at most establishments I order one thing and stick to it. Not here. The pastrami, the grinder, and even the sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches were all awesome. (toasted of course). The wheat bread tastes like something homemade, if you or someone else at home knew how to bake awesome wheat bread. The ingredients all taste fresh, and the ordering system is ingenious. Why give orders when you can just check off boxes that the employees are trained to understand? Oh, and to the person who complained about too much olive salad on their muffaletta - I've been to NOLA and the local muffaletta restaurants traditionally pile that crap on there. I've gotta hand it to Which Wich, they get a 6 out of 5 stars for customer service. I was in the area, had only eaten 300-ish calories for the day as of 8pm (and coffee, always coffee) and was ravenous. I ordered their new Philly cheesesteak sandwich -- got double meat because they were out of Amoroso rolls -- *for free*. Discovered, as delicious as it was, that they'd left off one of my ingredients (caramelized onions, necessary for a proper cheesesteak). They made me an entirely new sandwich while I kept the original one, and gave me a fresh oven baked cookie for my trouble. And then I "Jedi mind tricked"/suggested the night mgr into giving me a brownie for free, for discovering that their survey website didn't handle Opera at all (Chrome, no problem). That, and the half a strawberry pineapple milkshake I splurged on which was soooo good O_O... yeah. I totally didn't expect a new sammie, just to be given some onions...apparently they take customer satisfaction seriously. Kudos to their ethic! The place is capable of making delicious, tasty sandwiches, but is frequently inconsistent in execution. Sometimes their sandwiches can be well put together, but other times the sandwiches can be extremely soggy and fall apart. It also takes them quite a long time to make the sandwich. I waited 45 minutes one time for a sub-par sandwich where the soggyness of the bread made the paper stick to the sandwich, which ended up in my mouth... But again, sometimes it's quite good. The food is good and this is why I decided to place a catering order. I placed the order the day before I wanted to pick up the order to make sure that it would be ready. I went to pick up my order and it was not ready. What a disappointment!! The only answer that I was given was the order was not printed out. They said if you wait for 15-20 minutes we can get your order ready. I said that I could not wait and that I wanted them to make the sandwiches and deliver the sandwiches. (Wich Wich only has 3rd party delivery) They agreed to do this. I appreciate that, but what is most fustrating is not an acknowledgement that there was a problem. Hello, my name is Angie and I'm addicted to the surf and turf with spicy mayo. No matter how hard I try to stay away from it I can't. I crave it. I really do. And when I drive by on my way home from work, I have to stop. I can't help myself some days. I try so hard to try other hoagies, but I just can't. I'm sure they are good, but nothing could beat the surf and turf I'm sure. I don't know why it is so good, I've had much better seafood salad. I guess it's just the combo of that with the roast beef and then a touch of that kick ass spicy mayo. The roast beef is really good. I tend to steer clear of it most times because we've all had that nasty, fatty, chewy roast beef before at delis that is just gross, but it's not like that here. The bread is fantastic, and it's not over grilled to the point that it tears the roof of my mouth open like some places. They now have a large and giant size instead of just one size. I got a large the other day and it was large, I can't imagine the bigger size. They also have homemade chips and cookies. The service is fast. The place is clean. They have a punch card for a free sammie after you purchase so many, and I'm already there. It does seem a bit expensive for a hoagie, but I'm totally down with paying a bit more for the quality you get here. If you want to save a buck, go down the street to Subway not so fresh-ew! So I met my wife here for lunch and she ordered me a large drink and did not fill it. I came in after she paid and try to buy a large shake instead. I asked to pay the difference in price and the manager said she could not do it without a receipt. By that time my spouse had lost the receipt. Here is the deal, a manager should be able to make it happen. Are you telling me that managers at Which Which never graduated high school and are incapable of doing simple math. I know the clerk who checked me out was incapable of doing simple math. She tried to bill me $25 for a sandwich and a shake. I love the entire concept of this place! There has been so many times where I have ordered a sandwich at a sandwich place and then receive the wrong thing. At Which Wich, you have all of the power as an amateur sandwich artist of what creation you want to concoct. The first thing you do upon entering the place is fill out your request on a brown paper bag (sounds ghetto I know, but just go with it). There are multiple brown paper bags in a spinney turn-style (kind of like the ones with the greeting cards at the store), except instead of tags like Birthday or Congratulations, there are categories such as Chicken, Beef, or Classics. Once you have decided on your meat or sandwich style, you grab a sharpie from the table and fill in bubbles for the choices you want in or on your sandwich (almost like a Scantron, but for food). Lately, my favorite has been the Chicken Pesto sandwich with black olives, lettuce, red onions, and Dijon mustard. The sandwiches are always made super fast and are always fresh and tasty. There are also pretty reasonable price-wise - for an 8" chicken pesto that I just described came to around $5. Hands down Which Wich is probably my new favorite sandwich place in its food category. If you haven't checked it out and are in the mood for a tasty sandwich, this may be a good place to check out. Fours stars based on one visit. Lets start with the basics...It's warm inside - that's a big plus for me as i hate to eat in cold, drafty restaurants. Which Wich is an Interesting concept - you pick the numbered brown paper bag associated with the type of sandwich you want and use one of the many red sharpies to fill out how you want the sandwich constructed. My hubby and I shared the meatloaf and a Cuban sub. I give the Meatloaf sub three stars but four to the Cuban (very good thinly sliced pork and ham with slices of pickles - I added lettuce, yellow mustard and spicy veggy relish). The bread is very good, not too sweet but with lots of texture. The the bread is warmed and toasted and his just the right temp when it handed back to you (in it's brown bag). Lots of combinations, all for $5.25 which I think is a fair price for the quality of the product. I planning on going back to try other varieties in the future. Let's see if they can keep up the four star rating. read more

Price: I really like how they have their prices set-up here. All sandwiches are the same price and you can pick whatever toppings you want. Yeah, there are extra charges for double meat or for their 2 specialty sandwiches, but for the most part whether you want a meatball sandwich or a crab salad sandwich - they are all the same price. They do have 3 different sizes and each size has it's own price, so don't go expecting to get a 14" sandwich for the same price as a 7" sandwich, but that's common sense, right? The regular 7" sandwich is just over $5. Service: Service is part self-service since you have to select your sandwich bag and mark up your selections (type of sandwich, toppings, condiments, etc). Then you hand over your bag to the cashier and make any extra selections (homemade chips, shakes, cookies, etc). Then they go to town making your sandwich and call you up when it's ready. Ambiance: It's your typical fast-casual restaurant scene. It's clean and modern with stainless steel and light wood. I wish I had gotten her name, very helpful, patient, professional and cheerful with customers. Alright so Which wich is WAY better then any other sub place I've been to. The concept is really cool where you have a bag with different sandwich options (Turkey, Beef, Chicken, Seafood, Ham/Pork ect) but then you just check off what you want on your bag! They even have breakfast all day and SPAM I know some of you are spam haters but stop hating. The service is pretty fast and each sandwich is custom made so it's not been sitting there. Which Which might be out of mustard, considering I am certain they used their entire surplus of mustard on my turkey sandwich. While there may have been too much mustard for my liking (I should have indicated "light mustard" on my brown bag) I am a fan of this place. I like the whole fill in the blanks on a paper bag to select your sandwich toppings. This place is a little bit more pricy that Subway, but the ingredients seem to be higher quality and the sandwiches start out at 7 inches. I paid around $9 plus tax for my 7 inch combo. I was psyched to see the way you order your sandwich here, because the only other place I've seen it is back in Park City at a local sandwich shop-you have bags for each type of sandwich (ham, turkey, etc), and check boxes for the ingredients you want-then you just put your name on the bottom. The sandwiches are good, but to me a little on the pricey side for how much you get-still, a toasted ham and cheese from this place is super delicious (the toasting is optional) I hit this place up every now and then because it's close to where I live and the ingredients are better than a lot of sandwich chains-but the pricing could be a little better. At least they don't charge extra for more toppings. I've always gotten the extras that cost a little more with no issue. Just seems like the employees might be in too much of a hurry to crank out the sandwiches. I'd prefer they slow down a tad and make sure they get everything I ask for onto my sandwich. In fact, in the seven minutes I was waiting for my sandwich, THREE of the five customers ahead of me had problems with their food - that means that 2/3 of the sandwiches made (in about ten minutes) were incorrectly made. The bread was soggy and bland. The meats were really thick and not very flavorful, kind of slimy. The ingredients were not fresh - my lettuce was starting to brown (ick).
