I loved the taiyaki more than somi somi! The filling is not too sweet. But most unfortunately their lease is ending and so is the business! Very sad

I absolutely love Bingsu, and I cannot believe I haven't tried this place sooner. This establishment has a great assortment of flavors and I decided to get one of my favorites. The staff were super friendly and made sure my Bingsu was packed with ingredients. It was so so good! There's plenty of seating indoors too. Would recommend visiting the next time you're in the area!

Coming back from Hawaii, I was craving shaved ice. This was the closest thing to it! Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I always pass by but never stopped to try. This time it was hot out and perfect for the weather. Ordered a large mango and strawberry bingsu recommended by the girl in the front. It was a bit pricey for what it is but once in a while, treat yourself! It's a small shop with a handful of tables indoors but plenty of outdoor mall seatings in the center that's usually available. It's located in the second floor outdoors of The Shops at Santa Anita and there's plenty parking.

Stopped by Bingsu Bingsu and ordered the Signature Bingsu. It was refreshing, nicely balanced, and not overly sweet. The shaved ice was light and fluffy, and the toppings paired well together. A great spot if you're looking for a cool dessert, especially on a warm day. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other flavors. Service was good.

Decent place to grab some dessert while you're at the mall. Got a lot of sweet treats here to share with friends are we filled up on some Ramen Nagi on a weekday late afternoon. There were a couple other customers other than us so we had to take our food to the outside tables afterwards since there were a lot of us there, but service was friendly and efficient for the amount of things that we ordered. They play some K-pop in there and its a cute bright yellow store. Perfect for bringing up anyone's mood. They also have chips and various other bottled and canned drinks available too. We got the: 1) Vanilla soft serve: -1 friend wanted chocolate sauce and Oreo cookies and the other wanted it plain. Generous portion and nice and milky though does melt quickly. Standard. 2) Strawberry Milk: -Milk mixed with fresh strawberries. Light strawberry taste from the milk and slightly tart taste from the strawberries. Not bad. 3) Signature Bingsu Bingsu: -This is around $15. A bit steep but it's mall food and it's enough to share with several people, though it does get a bit sloppy after everything melts. -Toppings include strawberries, melon, mochi, mango, red bean jelly (pretty unique), and sweet mille feuille bits in it. Nice mix of texture and tastes. Had to leave the almonds out of it due to allergies, but no worries. Not bad, but I've had better bingsu elsewhere, though it might be because we chose the one with way too many toppings and tastes to it. I might swing by one day to try the other flavor and taste profile focused bingsu here.

"You're so observant," she said. And it made me smile. Not because I am (of course I am!), but because she noticed. When someone observes you being observant, it makes you feel recognized. It's interesting that these reviews are just ways of telling places that we have noticed them. That they have made enough of an impact on us -- whether good or bad-- that we decided to translate our feelings into words of recognition. The delicious art created here is definitely memorable. You can't help but notice the vibrant colors and flavors that emanate from within its walls. Sometimes all someone (or someplace) needs is for someone to notice them. And recognizing this is what differentiates those who are self aware from those who are not.

Located in the outlet of Arcadia mall, this place offers a huge variety of taiyaki to choose from. The place is spacious, with lots of seating. We visited for 4 different flavors of taiyaki: Custard, Jalapeno Cheese, Corn Cheese, and Meatball Cheese (no bingsu, oops). Service is quite fast, taking just a few mintues. Custard: Your standard taiyaki flavor, sweet and creamy. Jalapeno Cheese: Cheese with jalapeno cut into rounds. It's quite exactly how I would expect jalapeno cheese to taste like. I thought it would have jalapeno powder, so the jalapeno cuts took me by surprise. Regardless, I think it's a unique take on taiyaki that works quite well. Meatball Cheese: The meatball was really good. It's rich in flavor, and cheese adds another depth to it. Corn Cheese: Cheese was overpowering the corn flavor, and it's a combo that I would expect to taste better than it sounds. It's a little bit of a let down. All in all, I think the place's takes on flavor variety is unique, and there's some good choices to choose from. There are a lot of cheese options, but I think their cheese flavor is lacking.

Bingsu Bingsu is located in the outdoor section of the Santa Anita Mall. The space is bright and clean with some seating inside. We ordered the traditional red bean bingsu, which came with strawberries, mangos, canned mandarin oranges, red bean, plain mochi, and brown sugar drizzle. Decent bingsu but I could do without the mandarin oranges.

I LIKED THE MATCHA SHAVED SNOW ============================== I decided to try one while walking around the Westfield Santa Anita mall. It was a warm day, so I just took a break and sat inside. It's very clean and the possible owners were very nice. It seems like they have many things on the menu. I may try the mango flavor the next time.

This snow ice shop is located on the outside upper level in the formerly Westfield Mall, now The Shops at Santa Anita. It is one of the few places left that still sells actual snow ice and not shaved ice or "knock off" snow ice. They are a little pricy for the quantity, but the quality is very good. The servers are polite. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. Seating is somewhat limited and they can get full. They also have a few other items such as taiyaki and soft serve ice cream. The mall has a large shared lot, but it does get full, especially at peak hours such as after work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. However, if you are willing to park further, you can almost always get a spot and relatively quickly. Overall, we would come here again and especially if you like snow ice better than shaved ice like we do. We recommend you give them a try.

Large Strawberry & Mango Bingsu
Ed K.

My partner and I couldn't decide. She wanted strawberry, and I wanted mango. We got both and shaved ice in one bowl, and we enjoyed it! There is a container on the side where you can take extra condensed milk if you want, too. The order came out timely, and the restaurant was clean. This restaurant is really good for desserts!

Bingsu Bingsu is located at the promenade at The Shops of Santa Anita (the outside section of the mall). It's pretty roomy and offers a variety of treats and flavor. We came for the Korean shaved ice dessert. It comes in small, medium, large. We got the large and it easily feeds 3-4 people. It's basically frozen shaved milk with toppings. We opted for the mango so ours was filled with chunks of mango and condensed milk. Clean place with prompt service.

Injeolmi and Strawberry Bingsu (size small)
Vicky H.

Super refreshing! I was worried that this bingsoo wouldn't have much flavor but the way they layer the toppings was perfect. I also LOVE that they have a small/personal size available. I got the injeolmi but I was also able to try the mango and strawberry and all three were equally delicious. Service was quick on a Saturday afternoon and the store hascute interior decor. Price is average/decent for the size. Highly recommend for a light but satisfying dessert.

An hour into opening, we waited for about 30 min to get our food. I definitely recommend calling it in. We got the popcorn chicken rice and pork chop rice and it was only $12 each. You never see these prices anywhere anymore especially with a combo deal like this. Come during lunch time on a weekday and you'll also get a free tea as well! Everything was also very yummy. Popcorn chicken had really good flavor and had a nice crunch. The pork chop on the other hand was seasoned well but I wish it was a bit more crispy. I love the veggies that come with it too. It's a nice cooling dessert for the over 100 degree LA heat. Be prepared, they are often out of many items, so even though it's on their menu, it may not be available. This is my go-to place if I ever crave actual authentic Taiwanese comfort food. The original founder Linda used to work at Wan Chun Taiwanese Food before opening Sinbala. SinBala - Arcadia…read more SinBala is one of the rare Taiwanese restaurants that has stood the test of time. I grew up eating here. There used to be several locations across Southern California, and I'm glad the Arcadia location is still here. Every visit brings back memories. I come for the Taiwanese classics that are becoming harder to find. The popcorn chicken is still one of my favorites--crispy, fragrant, and seasoned the way Taiwanese street vendors do it. The Taiwanese meatball soup is comforting, and the Taiwanese sausage always reminds me of night markets back home. What I appreciate most is that SinBala doesn't just serve street food. It brings those familiar flavors into a warm, home-style setting. It's nostalgic without trying too hard. Before you leave, save room for dessert. Their shaved ice is a must. I always recommend the brown sugar shaved ice topped with five mochi or boba. It's refreshing, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to a meal. Taiwanese food is often overshadowed by other regional Chinese cuisines, but places like SinBala remind me how unique it really is. Simple, comforting, and full of character. I'm grateful this little piece of Taiwan is still here.

My friends and I chose Salju Dessert for some nice dessert because the ratings of this location seemed pretty good, but sadly we were disappointed. We chose the milk flavor and pandan. The milk flavor wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. The pandan on the other hand was very bitter... We thought it may have been the toppings but figured out it was the pandan flavor. My friend described it as a medicine bitter taste, which I could agree on. We made a complaint and the employees happily switched it out for us for another milk flavor (maybe we should've chosen another flavor to try.) Toppings... the toppings were extremely expensive for such a small portion. It was around like $1.49 per topping??? Which is honestly pretty crazy. The toppings are set on the side in those small plastic ketchup containers. 4 Oreo cookies for $1.49, 2-3 buttercups smashed into pieces for $1.49, 1.5 strawberry sliced for $1.49, 1/8 of a banana sliced for $1.49... a container of chocolate syrup $1.49 you can imagine the rest that we added. Those portion sizes and prices are messed up lol The total was $35+ for 2 smalls with additional toppings. Overall, I don't think we will be coming back here for the shaved ice. There's definitely better options out there. The place was pretty busy too, maybe there's other items on the menu worth trying or they got bamboozled by the ratings... but in this economy, the presentation, taste, and price was not worth it and we wish we spent our money elsewhere. I usually take photos to share to friends on snap/ social media, but it was so disappointing I didn't even take any pics to show y'all. Very mid tier. Thank you to the staff who replaced our pandan though!

When we're craving some tasty Taiwanese treats, Meet Fresh is always a top pick! When we stepped in, I was surprised by how empty the place was. There were hardly any customers, so I assumed we'd have our desserts shortly. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all! Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, we had to wait approximately 30 minutes for our orders! I honestly couldn't understand why it took so long, especially when there weren't many customers around. I don't mind waiting when a restaurant is packed, but waiting so long at a virtually empty dessert shop was a disappointment. Another thing I observed was the condition of the seating area. Some of the sofas were ripped and worn, but instead of replacing or fixing them, they just taped up the damaged places! It gave the place an old and poorly maintained. For a popular dessert franchise like Meet Fresh, I would expect the place to be more maintained. Finally, after about 30 minutes, our desserts and drinks arrived! At the very least, we were able to sit back, relax, and share some cool shaved ice and drinks as a family. The desserts were undoubtedly the highlight of our stay, and it was great to finally satisfy our sweet desires! Overall, we liked the desserts, but the experience might have been much better. The long wait despite nearly no customers, as well as the ripped sofas covered in tape, took away from the whole experience.
