I loved the taiyaki more than somi somi! The filling is not too sweet. But most unfortunately their lease is ending and so is the business! Very sad
I absolutely love Bingsu, and I cannot believe I haven't tried this place sooner. This establishment has a great assortment of flavors and I decided to get one of my favorites. The staff were super friendly and made sure my Bingsu was packed with ingredients. It was so so good! There's plenty of seating indoors too. Would recommend visiting the next time you're in the area!
Coming back from Hawaii, I was craving shaved ice. This was the closest thing to it! Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I always pass by but never stopped to try. This time it was hot out and perfect for the weather. Ordered a large mango and strawberry bingsu recommended by the girl in the front. It was a bit pricey for what it is but once in a while, treat yourself! It's a small shop with a handful of tables indoors but plenty of outdoor mall seatings in the center that's usually available. It's located in the second floor outdoors of The Shops at Santa Anita and there's plenty parking.
Stopped by Bingsu Bingsu and ordered the Signature Bingsu. It was refreshing, nicely balanced, and not overly sweet. The shaved ice was light and fluffy, and the toppings paired well together. A great spot if you're looking for a cool dessert, especially on a warm day. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other flavors. Service was good.
Decent place to grab some dessert while you're at the mall. Got a lot of sweet treats here to share with friends are we filled up on some Ramen Nagi on a weekday late afternoon. There were a couple other customers other than us so we had to take our food to the outside tables afterwards since there were a lot of us there, but service was friendly and efficient for the amount of things that we ordered. They play some K-pop in there and its a cute bright yellow store. Perfect for bringing up anyone's mood. They also have chips and various other bottled and canned drinks available too. We got the: 1) Vanilla soft serve: -1 friend wanted chocolate sauce and Oreo cookies and the other wanted it plain. Generous portion and nice and milky though does melt quickly. Standard. 2) Strawberry Milk: -Milk mixed with fresh strawberries. Light strawberry taste from the milk and slightly tart taste from the strawberries. Not bad. 3) Signature Bingsu Bingsu: -This is around $15. A bit steep but it's mall food and it's enough to share with several people, though it does get a bit sloppy after everything melts. -Toppings include strawberries, melon, mochi, mango, red bean jelly (pretty unique), and sweet mille feuille bits in it. Nice mix of texture and tastes. Had to leave the almonds out of it due to allergies, but no worries. Not bad, but I've had better bingsu elsewhere, though it might be because we chose the one with way too many toppings and tastes to it. I might swing by one day to try the other flavor and taste profile focused bingsu here.

It's interesting that these reviews are just ways of telling places that we have noticed them. That they have made enough of an impact on us -- whether good or bad-- that we decided to translate our feelings into words of recognition. The delicious art created here is definitely memorable. You can't help but notice the vibrant colors and flavors that emanate from within its walls. Sometimes all someone (or someplace) needs is for someone to notice them. And recognizing this is what differentiates those who are self aware from those who are not.
Located in the outlet of Arcadia mall, this place offers a huge variety of taiyaki to choose from. The place is spacious, with lots of seating. We visited for 4 different flavors of taiyaki: Custard, Jalapeno Cheese, Corn Cheese, and Meatball Cheese (no bingsu, oops). Service is quite fast, taking just a few mintues. Custard: Your standard taiyaki flavor, sweet and creamy. Jalapeno Cheese: Cheese with jalapeno cut into rounds. It's quite exactly how I would expect jalapeno cheese to taste like. I thought it would have jalapeno powder, so the jalapeno cuts took me by surprise. Regardless, I think it's a unique take on taiyaki that works quite well. Meatball Cheese: The meatball was really good. It's rich in flavor, and cheese adds another depth to it. Corn Cheese: Cheese was overpowering the corn flavor, and it's a combo that I would expect to taste better than it sounds. It's a little bit of a let down. All in all, I think the place's takes on flavor variety is unique, and there's some good choices to choose from. There are a lot of cheese options, but I think their cheese flavor is lacking.
Bingsu Bingsu is located in the outdoor section of the Santa Anita Mall. The space is bright and clean with some seating inside. We ordered the traditional red bean bingsu, which came with strawberries, mangos, canned mandarin oranges, red bean, plain mochi, and brown sugar drizzle. Decent bingsu but I could do without the mandarin oranges.
I LIKED THE MATCHA SHAVED SNOW ============================== I decided to try one while walking around the Westfield Santa Anita mall. It was a warm day, so I just took a break and sat inside. It's very clean and the possible owners were very nice. It seems like they have many things on the menu. I may try the mango flavor the next time.
This snow ice shop is located on the outside upper level in the formerly Westfield Mall, now The Shops at Santa Anita. It is one of the few places left that still sells actual snow ice and not shaved ice or "knock off" snow ice. They are a little pricy for the quantity, but the quality is very good. The servers are polite. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. Seating is somewhat limited and they can get full. They also have a few other items such as taiyaki and soft serve ice cream. The mall has a large shared lot, but it does get full, especially at peak hours such as after work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. However, if you are willing to park further, you can almost always get a spot and relatively quickly. Overall, we would come here again and especially if you like snow ice better than shaved ice like we do. We recommend you give them a try.
My partner and I couldn't decide. She wanted strawberry, and I wanted mango. We got both and shaved ice in one bowl, and we enjoyed it! There is a container on the side where you can take extra condensed milk if you want, too. The order came out timely, and the restaurant was clean. This restaurant is really good for desserts!
Bingsu Bingsu is located at the promenade at The Shops of Santa Anita (the outside section of the mall). It's pretty roomy and offers a variety of treats and flavor. We came for the Korean shaved ice dessert. It comes in small, medium, large. We got the large and it easily feeds 3-4 people. It's basically frozen shaved milk with toppings. We opted for the mango so ours was filled with chunks of mango and condensed milk. Clean place with prompt service.
Super refreshing! I was worried that this bingsoo wouldn't have much flavor but the way they layer the toppings was perfect. I also LOVE that they have a small/personal size available. I got the injeolmi but I was also able to try the mango and strawberry and all three were equally delicious. Service was quick on a Saturday afternoon and the store hascute interior decor. Price is average/decent for the size. Highly recommend for a light but satisfying dessert.

I really liked the bingsu but I expected more for the price that I paid, I believe i paid around $7.50-$7.75 but it came in a small cup. The fruit was very sweet and it was very refreshing to eat on a hot day but my friend said it mainly just tasted like ice for him. The workers were nice and it came out quickly. The shop overall isn't the biggest but they do offer seating inside. There's a lot of natural lighting inside and a mirror if you want to take pictures. read more
I've seen this newest Korean dessert spot popping on weekends and never had the opportunity to try it because I never had the patience to try it with the crowds but I finally tried on a Thursday night. Upon walking in, both the owners (husband and wife) were very warm and welcoming and introduced what they had to offer since it was my first time and shared what was very popular with other guests. They suggested for the bingsu, the strawberry mango was the most popular one and that's what I chose, even on a cold night. In addition, my friend and I got some taiyaki (Mozza Cheese, Nutella, Custard) and shared a Matcha + Red Bean Vanilla Soft Serve; don't judge us if the two of us actually finished all of this. Strawberry Bingsu: The fruits were decadent and sweet all around! The amount of fruit they provided even on a regular sized bowl were more than I imagined. You honestly could have 4 people eat a regular sized bowl and this was honestly my favorite of the night. It pairs well with the mochi and almonds they gave on the side. We drizzled only a little bit of condensed milk since both the mango and strawberry were sweet already. The "snow" was soft and fluffy so it's definitely worth eating on a hot or cold day. Taiyaki: My favorite ones were Nutella and the Mozza Cheese. If you're looking for the cheese pull and want to the a video of it, you'll need to order the Mozza Cheese taiyaki because it has a strong cheese pull. The custard one was alright but I may be biased since I'm not a custard fan in general but my friend likes custard. Nutella was really good and I mean what's not to like about anything Nutella?! Vanilla Soft Serve: This had an interesting texture to it and it's unlike any other soft serve I've tasted. It's not a bad taste either but to me it seems like it has a mochi flavor taste instead of a vanilla taste. It's very smooth and buttery and goes well with the matcha and red bean. I just wished it had more red bean since I'm a big fan of red bean. Overall, I think this lives up to a Korean dessert shop and I'm happy I don't have to drive to K-Town if I'm ever craving Korean desserts anymore. I hope they stay and last long because the owners are seriously the nicest and genuine hard workers. read more

New spot at the Shops of Santa Anita. Honestly, a welcomed addition in my opinion. They took over the space of an ice cream shop. I like Bingu and theirs was solid. Service was super friendly too and the owner(?) also provided us with some tteokbokki samples. Overall, my new go to spot for dessert at the mall hands down. read more
I've been wanting to try this place after seeing it all over my TikTok. There was no line when I got here and parking was very easy as there's plenty of parking at the mall. I ordered the Signature Bingsu Bingsu and it was delicious. There were a lot of toppings and they give you a bottle of condensed milk on the side. Staff were nice and friendly. I'm a big fan of taiyaki and give a try to this place. The taiyaki is really good. The dough is chewy and the filling is generous. Love it. I only have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get my order ready. The staff is nice and the place is clean. I will come back to try their bingsu and soft ice cream that looks delicious. read more

This shop at the mall took over the previous rolling ice cream shop. Now there are taiyaki, bingsu shaved ice and drinks. My friend and I were actually quite full but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We were curious about the corn taiyaki and decided to give it a try. They did gave us heads up that it will take a little longer since we ordered 5 mins before closing. I do like the corn and the crunchy taiyaki, however I did not know they would put mayo with the corn filling. That part was a bit odd and also I'm not a fan of mayo at all. Next time I would stick to to the sweet fillings, note that these taiyaki are on the smaller side as well. I do want to come back to try the shaved ice. 3 Stars for now because of the mayo, but I will updated when I come back to try the shaved ice. read more

Got the Small Mango Bingsu. That one was delicious. Would order again. Bf and I both got the custard filling Taiyaki. We both felt it was a bit too sweet. The batter was good, but the taste of the custard was less than satisfactory for us. So far, my top 3 places for Taiyakis are: Somi Somi (multiple locations), With Love in San Gabriel and Okrumong in Torrance. Bf got the Vanilla Soft Serve with Oreo Chocolate. It was good enough/decent. He enjoyed it more than I did. I'll stick to my bingsu. Overall, would come back and try more items although inside the store and the mall - outdoor promenade area is rather (over) crowded. Same goes for parking on the weekends. read more

I ordered the strawberry and mango bingsu, and it was visually super cute. The ice was soft and refreshing. They provided complimentary bottles of condensed milk for added sauce. Additionally, I tried the red bean and Nutella tayaki, and they were pretty good. While the tayaki was on the smaller side, it was freshly made. The establishment is clean, and the cashier was exceptionally pleasant. They have air conditioning, which was nice! read more
Bingsu Bingsu is serving up some of the best desserts I've had in Arcadia. Their shaved ice has a really soft texture and the strawberries and mangoes are fresh! The matcha and red bean soft serve was super refreshing My favorite was the taiyaki! It comes in many different flavors, but the Nutella and mozzarella were my top picks. It's crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside The shop itself is clean and simple. It's run by a mom and pop who are the nicest and sweetest people. 100/10 must try when you're at the Santa Anita mall read more

This is a good place for desserts if you are ever craving for any. There are a lot of options that I saw on the menu when I came here recently and it all looks pretty delicious. I tried the Mango Strawberry Bingsu and it was pretty good, although it was a little pricy for a small cup. I was a little upset that it did not come with the condensed milk but the overall taste was still acceptable :) I want to try other snacks the next time I come here, most especially the Taiyakis since Somi Somi is out of business. read more

My favorite is their soft serve with matcha topping. Followed by taiyaki with ranges of flavors to choose (Nutella is my go to). Their bingsu use fresh fruits , pretty impressive. Didn't know this place was in the mall! This was definitely one of the better dessert and bingsoo places I've been to recently. Their taiyaki had so many different flavors and the bingsoo was covered in fruit. They have these little ice creams I really want to try too. Also loved the aesthetic of the shop, and the food came out pretty quickly! It's a great spot to chill after or during shopping. read more

The matcha brown sugar red bean bingsu is so good! They have two sizes so if the regular size is too big then you can get a small one for cheaper. The store is clean with nice staff. read more
A great dessert choice in the Santa Anita Mall. The bingsu was solid, but the STAR of the show was the Taiyaki. I got the red bean one and my boyfriend got the Nutella one, and we both LOVED the taiyaki. The dough was perfectly chewy. The small bingsu is small, but they do show you the cup size when you order. It was just enough for us after dinner + the taiyakis. Service was swift, and there's plenty of seating. Can't wait to go back! read more

My bf and I ordered the bibim bingsu since it sounded interesting and it definitely exceeded our expectations! In the bowl there was strawberries, mochi, mango, coffee jelly, honeydew, some crispy bits, and red bean! They also had some sliced almonds on the side. Everything together was delicious, but my favorite topping was definitely the fruits! They were so fresh~ They also had bottles of condensed milk on their counter to add which made it even better. The storefront is located at the outside mall near the Nordstrom's. Came by on a whim I had the matcha soft serve which basically vanilla with some match powder. We also ordered a strawberry/mango bingsu. At first I found the bingsu bland and the fruit too syrupy but after a few bites it really grew on me. Tried a couple of taiyakis of course I always for for the Nutella the hubby raves about the cheese/jalapeño. Employees were friendly and efficient. read more

An awesome location for some dessert located right in the Arcadia mall! Parking: tons of parking available both underground and outside. All free and just a walking distance away. Food: we ordered the regular size bingsu with strawberry and mango. It comes with a side of almonds and mochi as well. Overall it's an amazing flavor with bits of the fruit embedded in the bingsu which was a nice touch. Having said that I think the only downside here is the lack of toppings to go along with it. Only reason I think its not a 5/5 option. Overall fantastic dessert option when in the Arcadia mall! read more

first of all, the exterior is so cute and eye catching! i first came here in the summer, around the time when it opened and it was love at first taste. the mango was sooo fresh and sweet and mixed with the ice made it better! who knew such a simple combo was delicious. came back around December and they still didn't disappoint! my brother also enjoyed the chocolate Oreo one which i didnt try but i bet was just as pleasing. if youre craving something cold but sweet as a snack, definitely come here! read more

As a red bean lover, I tried the taiyaki. The delicate, labor intensive preparation of the dough and beans cooking in the mold was suspenseful. I was anticipating goodness but was disappointed with the doughy and slightly sour shell and small red bean filling that was not sweet. To maximize profit they must use little or no sugar. Not what I expected or wanted. Real red bean paste (Japanese) is very sweet. Did not try anything else but quality of taiyaki makes me suspect quality of other items. Don't think this place will be any more successful than the previous Asian dessert place, especially with Meet Fresh near by. read more

The treats here were so delicious! We got the matcha red bean soft serve and the strawberry mango bingsu. They were both the perfect amount of sweetness. Really liked how they had the condensed milk bottle available on the counter in case we wanted to add more ourselves whenever we wanted to. And the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordred a small strawberry bingsu and it was VERY small. It was I think around 7 to 9 dollars and I felt it was worth more 5 or 6 dollars. There is free condensed milk and you can put as much as you want whenever. They use a lot of plastic with a small, the larges looked to be in a reusable bowl. My spoon was also plastic, so theres quite a bit of plastic waste. I wish they had reusable bowls for all sizes and bamboo spoons. If you order a drink however it comes in a glass container which was really nice and extremely cute. The bingsu wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. The strawberries weren't that sweet maybe cause they're not in season. But I wish there were cheese cubes or strawberries inside of the bowl, it was only on top so I had to add condensed milk to the bottom to get more flavor. The ambiance was pretty good for a new opening place, however I wish the cashier was a bit friendlier. I had a few questions, but he didn't look too happy and asked for my order right away. He also didn't tell my friend about the condensed milk, but told me, so she didn't get to use it for half of her bingsu. Overall this place is not extraordinary. Minus 1 star for their excessive plastic and waste and minus another for the taste and customer service but being up to my standards. read more

Ordered: Small Strawberry Mango For its price (~$8), it was a bit small, but still very sweet and refreshing! They let you add on condensed milk to your liking which was really nice! Very cute yellow theme interior as well. My only issue is that their bowls are not very environmentally friendly. Hoping this changes in the future! read more

I have been waiting for this place to open and so glad I finally made it in. Went with my boyfriend and we got the bingsu with the bean powder on top. The presentation is just too adorable with the tiny tree on top. The Bingsu itself was pretty yummy, and even better after we added some condensed milk. The 2 who were running the shop were very kind and quick to get us our order. Would love to go back and try more! read more

Damn! I went a month ago and had their black cherry icecream. It was so good then and had been craving it since! Finally came back and the ice cream had extremely bad freezer burn. So disappointing that it's not consistent. Asked the employee or manager about it and they just disregarded and said it was new. Won't be coming back. **took the picture a little too late so it was already melting, but it had freezer burn all through the middle. read more
I hate to come back with a negative review..but this was such a bad experience! this was my first time trying bingsu bingsu at the mall but this vanilla soft serve with mango topping was pretty bad. seems like I should've gone with the shaved ice based on other reviews. the vanilla soft serve itself tasted so artificial and had a weird texture that was between creamy and icy . the mango itself was okay but didn't taste super fresh. unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend read more
