Piping hot and spicy Old Bay fries with sriracha mayo.

Old Bay french fries with sriracha aioli-check them as terrific! Hofmann red hots garbage plate with two sides, mac salad and salt potatoes, chopped onion/Rochester sauce, French's yellow mustard-double check, terrific-(but could be awesomely terrific is you could get spicy brown mustard!) G/F loved her Hofmann dog with flavorful sauerkraut-big check from her. Adorable setting on a leafy downtown lane, wonderfully clean, warm staff/owner-check all as terrific. On one visit I can only give a 4 star, but if subsequent visits are as good I'll zip it up another star!

They have a poster up ranking them in the Top 10 for Drunk College Burgers or something, which I think is pretty spot on. Probably a great stop if you need solid food for when you're already having a great alcohol filled time lol. Chicken tenders were bomb! Burger was mid, I'm not sure why so many burger places seem like they don't salt their food at all but :( It wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly good. Skipppppp the jerk chicken sandwich... Binghamton is probably not the place you want to go to for jerk chicken. Outdoor seating was pleasant (a wasp kept chasing us though). I dropped my soda in fear (the wasp was seriously gunning for my Pepsi) and a member of the staff came out to rinse the sidewalk, apologize for the wasp, and offered me another soda. Customer service was really nice at the counter as well! also pssst @ Hot's, toast the burger buns y'all, it'll be eons better!

Clean cozy restaurant. Vegan and gluten free items. Small dive restaurant. A go to stop when your in Binghamton.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We ordered through Grubhub and the only positive is we got our order within a good timeframe. However, we ordered the attached and received only one coleslaw, one burger missing ranch on the side, another burger missing a pickle, and the jerk chicken was missing lettuce, tomato, and American cheese. Called DoorDash which called the company, who admitted to making a mistake on the jerk chicken and said we didn't order coleslaw for the chicken philly sub, which clearly says it on the attached. Grubhub gave us two options, submit a customer service ticket for a refund (which they look into by calling us and calling the restaurant) or to try and reorder the food (which they contact restaurant again and we risk who knows what happening to our food...no thanks) so now we wait. Screw this place AND Grubhub! Ridiculous. Customer has no leg to stand on. Unbelievable that the restaurant didn't even own up to the mistake. BTW... the food was mediocre. Quick update: we called restaurant directly and they said they'd zero out the order and we can go pick up the food made a 2nd time and they told Grubhub this. However, Grubhub only told us they'd remake the jerk chicken since that's the only one recognized as having an issue. TO BE CONTINUED.

Can't believe I was the first to post a picture. Lovely staff. Want to try more next trip. Good after drinking food.

I read the review and thought I would give it a try. I didn't read enough to know that once I ordered my cheese steak, fries and beans that the hot plate meant they mixed it all together. It was good though and just what I needed after a few drinks.

Red Hots x2 hot plate, with macaroni salad as the side.

Great service. I was greeted warmly as I walked through the door, and the person at the counter was very polite and friendly. It was my first time here. I scanned over the menu, and it seemed to be a pretty typical american menu, phiily cheesesteaks, hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc. I ordered the hot plate with two red hots with 2 x sides of macaroni salad. Five minutes later, they brought the food to my table. I thought it would just be two hot dogs with macaroni on the side. Surprise!!! It was an amalgamation of two hot dogs, layered on top of the macaroni salad, covered with some spicy ground beef stuff and mustard on top. It also came with a single slice of bread on the side. Apparently, they brought this unique style of food from its origins in Rochester, NY. It tasted pretty decent, but it's not something that I would ever crave. Someone came over in the middle of my meal, and asked me how my meal tasted. Great service again. Looking at the pictures on their Facebook page, they have some really yummy looking dishes. They offer more than just the hot plates. I'll have to stop by again and give it a second look sometime. If you're in the area, it's a decent place to get a meal. I hear they're open very late and is a popular stop for the drunk BU students.

    Apple crisp dessert

I am here checking out restaurant week. Excited for the food and prices! $12 I got the butternut squash bisque, 3 slider sampler, and the apple crisp. Sounds amazing right?! The squash bisque was delicious! It was so well puréed and flavored. It wasn't overly salted and it was very enjoyable and tasted fresh. Next were the sliders, which ended up being too much for me but the one slider I had was very tender and cooked well. There were 2 other sliders with different cheeses and sauces that I can't wait to finish tonight at dinner. I expect those to be well cooked and flavored just as well as the one I did have. The fries could use some work. One it was overly oily and usually I can handle oily if the fries were actually crunchy. These were just soaked in oil and soggy. Unappetizing, but not overly salted and they give the client the choice if they want to salt more or not. Improve the fries and they've got a well rounded joint! Next was dessert which was very disappointing. The apple crisp was just apples with granola on top and whipped cream. Would have liked a bigger effort, but I did appreciate that it was not overtly sweet. Still unfortunate that they would give a dessert with such little creativity for restaurant week. The venue itself was down a very cute side street. It is one way and you have to pay for parking. 50 cents for an hour, so not pricey. Easy to locate because they have a sign above the door as well as a sign out front to catch people's attention. Service was quick. You go in, order and then they bring the food out to you, so more fast food style ordering. Everything was clean, small, and quaint.

You have to open a secret door when you walk inside the lighting the decor is all phenomenal. We did have to have a reservation as the place is completely booked on a Friday night, even the bar was too capacity. We were seated right away as we had reservations, the nice part about the reservations as well as you could text them to get those reservations. We had dinner prior to our reservations, so we didn't get a chance to try the food although the menu that was in a folded binder was lit when it opened a very cool little feature. The drink menu could've been a little bit more extensive for their specialty drinks, however, they had what seemed like hundreds of liquor options for you to make your own or to choose something on the rocks. Our server Nate was excellent, he suggested and recommended different drinks for us, he also brought over a little cheesecake because it was Amanda's birthday this week. Just an outstanding location vibe service experience. All of that. We would highly recommend it and if we're back in Binghamton, we would definitely go. If I lived in Binghamton. This is the place I would bring all of my guests to. Would we go back, absolutely, so much so that we are hoping or would love to see this in our hometown

We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.

It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty of tables still available. We started with the Buffalo Brussels Sprouts which I absolutely loved! These are some of the best Brussels sprouts I've had at a restaurant. The buffalo sauce was light and not overpowering and even the blue cheese dipping sauce (which I'm usually not a fan of) was pretty mild and paired well with the Brussels sprouts. A great start! We then shared the Large Rigatoni a la Vodka and added Meatballs to it. The Large is definitely enough for 2 people. The Rigatoni was cooked well and the vodka sauce was well balanced with the cream, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the spot! My only complaint was for ~$6, I expected the meatballs to be larger than they were. The Meatballs had good flavor but for such a large bowl of pasta, it barely makes a difference. And those 3 meatballs should be $1 each at most, in my opinion. The Side Caesar Salad was a great pair with the pasta and for ~$3, very reasonably priced. All in all, worth stopping by if you're in town!

Our waitress was friendly and attentive but that was really the only positive. There were 6 of us and we started with the calamari appetizer and charcuterie board. The charcuterie board was fine nothing too exciting but the calamari was super salty so most of us did not enjoy it. Then we had our soups and salads. Everyone enjoyed their salads but I tried the lobster bisque which was an additional cost and it was very disappointing. The puff pastry on top made the presentation nice and the flavor was decent but there was no lobster chucks at all in it which was not what im used to at a steak house. Next came our meals which 4 of us ordered the filets and 2 were sent back immediately because they were so salty they couldn't eat it. Mine seemed to have a lot of pepper which i didnt care for but I didn't experience the salt issue so i did not send mine back. Another guest had salmon which she was enjoying until she found a metal coil in it. When we showed/told the waitress what was going on with the meals she took them back but and the people with steaks were given new steaks without the seasoning but no real apology was given. It's really disappointing that management or someone didn't even come to apologize especially for the metal coil because had she eaten that it could have really caused an issue. We were given a few things off the bill but our bill was still over $500 and when you pay that kind of money you expect to really enjoy your meals. The ambiance is nice there and they have potential but after our experience we definitely wont likely be going back. The two that sent their steaks back still cant even think about steak after this experience.
