My usual "Clinton St. Diner'' was unfortunately closed today. So, decided to blindly give this place a try. And wow.. Overpriced Pig Chow! The eggs & toast were, ok? The orange juice was good... Overall, not a good first impression. No clue how this place is even open. Maybe, desperately hungry customers? The black stuff on the plate is burnt remains from the skillet. The fact that this plate was even presented in front of me had me feeling as if I was some sort of stray mutt or pig. I've never went out to eat breakfast, and then have to go home to cook so that I can eat breakfast. Btw, I don't even write reviews. I went out of my way to write this.

Place came highly recommended by a guest at the hotel we were staying , he advised us not to eat at the hotel restaurant. So Saturday Morning we decided to try Chris Diner . Food : absolutely delicious , the home fries were actually nice and fresh and not something like some places where they just sit there and get burnt. And everything came super fast Place had good vibes and it was crowded from the minute we walked in till the minute we left , will definitely go back there if I ever visit the area again . Service : Libby was out waitress and she was the nicest thing , making such a pleasant experience for us . So it was a win win .. great service , great vibe and great food . If you even go to Binghamton you definitely should check out Chris Diner .. 5 stars across the board .

We tried this diner, it was ok. Nothing special. The service was good, food came quickly. There is no ambiance, just clean. The blueberry pancakes were large, definitely not light and flaky. The sausage and gravy was not great. Prices were average for diner food.

This is a cute little diner. The food was great & and the service was good. I definitely recommend this place as I'm sure I'll return during my 13 week stay here in town.

Found this on maps. So glad I did. Exactly what you want from a dinner. Good food, great friendly servers, fast service, and socialize. Sat at the counter struck up conversation with two guys. I was impressed with the cook. Banging out dish after dish making it look easy. Impressive guy! Thanks for the good food.

Very good breakfast spot in Binghamton, NY as evidenced by how insanely busy it was!! This is your basic diner-kind-of-place that all the locals go which are always the best places for breakfast food! I was staying at a nearby hotel with 15 other women for a weekend get away and we came here on the last day right after we all checked out. We took up 4 tables (2 pushed together) and Maria was our server. Even with how slammed the restaurant was she took very good care of us and everything was tasty and came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I'll be sure to hit this spot next time I'm in Binghamton!

If you asked me to guess where COVID-19 started, I'd guess it was here. Truly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The first red flag started back in the parking lot, when I saw one of the cooks taking a cigarette break and "scratching" his nose. Immediately upon entry, I knew it was going to be bad. The decor was retro, but more retro in the fact it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years. The tables were cramped, the ceilings were low, the walls were dirty and yellow, and there was a thriving population of flies. While the food was cheap, believe me, my stomach payed for it later. The waffles and pancakes were dry, flavorless, and tasted like they came from an expired packet of Bisquick pancake mix. I didn't try the eggs and potatoes, but my party said they were just as bad. I really would've liked to support a small, family owned diner like Chris', but truthfully I don't know how this place is still in business.

The portions are huge and prices were great. The food itself was not so special, but you definitely won't leave hungry. The waitresses were very friendly and provided great service. The place is a bit run down, but the people go for the food and not the atmosphere/decor.

Eggs, sausage, home fries . (Home fries needed green peppers and onions) but it was good. Coffee was also good.

We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.

It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty of tables still available. We started with the Buffalo Brussels Sprouts which I absolutely loved! These are some of the best Brussels sprouts I've had at a restaurant. The buffalo sauce was light and not overpowering and even the blue cheese dipping sauce (which I'm usually not a fan of) was pretty mild and paired well with the Brussels sprouts. A great start! We then shared the Large Rigatoni a la Vodka and added Meatballs to it. The Large is definitely enough for 2 people. The Rigatoni was cooked well and the vodka sauce was well balanced with the cream, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the spot! My only complaint was for ~$6, I expected the meatballs to be larger than they were. The Meatballs had good flavor but for such a large bowl of pasta, it barely makes a difference. And those 3 meatballs should be $1 each at most, in my opinion. The Side Caesar Salad was a great pair with the pasta and for ~$3, very reasonably priced. All in all, worth stopping by if you're in town!

Worse if you are in a hurry and driving somewhere. Forget getting butter on that bagel! The whole idea behind having take out is you TAKE IT OUT AND EAT IT! Some places, including this location, will, if you remember to ask, butter your bagel BEFORE packing it away but it is hit or miss. This seems to be a corporate directive and I've complained to corporate who seems to not care one bit. Every blasted Panera I go to does the same thing with the only variance seeming to be the hard as a rock butter vs maybe a bit softer butter. I mean even if you wanted to butter than bagel you really can't because the butter is solid and impossible to spread. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS PANERA! BTW, the staff here is FANTASTIC and cheerful and wonderfully helpful. This isn't a knock against them just the way Panera corporate trains everyone. If I have one comment for staff please put the coffee in the dispensers in the same order every day all day. It is seemingly random how this is done and if you come often you get get used to certain things in certain places and then someone rips the rug out from under you and puts the hot water where the coffee belongs. Entrance to the restaurant was clean and inviting and the display of baked goods in the glass case before us was indeed tempting. I did get two cookies to go for later after lunch. I ordered the half sandwich garden caprese and Mediterranean Chicken greens with grains. I can't decide which was more delicious. The salad had feta. Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, Red peppers. Salad greens, grains and a lovely blob of hummus also a very nice light dressing. The caprese sandwich was really tasty. Everything on it melded into a party in each bite. I'd definitely order both of these again. Brother completely enjoyed his salad as well. I must digress, we ordered, got the electronic alert device and waited not more than 5-10 minutes for our food to be ready. Pretty darn quick and it was all correct. I will definitely consider going to my local Panera once back home. I actually feel like I've been missing out on some good stuff. Again, not sure exactly why I haven't been to Panera for so long, but as the Terminator says "I'll be back".

They do have other menu items so figured that would work. First, I was a bit blow away by the prices but had heard the portions are huge so figured that would make up for it. Just know, most of the Mac & Cheese dishes here are about $20 for a full order. On the surface that seems absurd but the portions are massive. I know for a fact with what we order we'll get 2-3 meals out of it easily. As for the food, I'm a bit MEH on it. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do something and that goes for Mac & Cheese. There are at ton of different varieties and we got a good sampling between Shrimp Scampi, Rodeo (think BBQ pulled port) and Chicken Bacon Ranch. We also got their Friday special which was fish fry (and they only seem to do fish on Friday's). The fish was really the winner here, it was fantastic and gives you a decent variety with fries, Cole slaw and plain mac and cheese on the side. It was easily the highlight of the dinners. The Mac & Cheese was OK. The CBR was the best of the three and the Shrimp Scampi lacked flavor. For the price, I'd expect to be blown away. None of us felt we'd come back and ever the M&C again but could be convinced to visit for the fish. It doesn't really matter that the portions are huge of you aren't thrilled with the food. We'll eat them but it isn't something we'd look forward to. One other thing, with M&C being the ONLY thing you get it is just a LOT of the same thing. We also got the Nacho appetizer which was good but small and others do it better. Bottom line is that are better choices around and that's that great thing about this area. Despite its size, there are some really good choices for dinner but I just can't recommend this one.
