Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes with a single pancake. It was delicious.
Tammy C.

Checked out this local favorite and I wasn't disappointed. Friendly service, typical diner food breakfast selections and fair prices is what I found while eating breakfast at Chris' Diner. I will definitely try it again with the family.

My usual "Clinton St. Diner'' was unfortunately closed today. So, decided to blindly give this place a try. And wow.. Overpriced Pig Chow! The eggs & toast were, ok? The orange juice was good... Overall, not a good first impression. No clue how this place is even open. Maybe, desperately hungry customers? The black stuff on the plate is burnt remains from the skillet. The fact that this plate was even presented in front of me had me feeling as if I was some sort of stray mutt or pig. I've never went out to eat breakfast, and then have to go home to cook so that I can eat breakfast. Btw, I don't even write reviews. I went out of my way to write this.

Place came highly recommended by a guest at the hotel we were staying , he advised us not to eat at the hotel restaurant. So Saturday Morning we decided to try Chris Diner . Food : absolutely delicious , the home fries were actually nice and fresh and not something like some places where they just sit there and get burnt. And everything came super fast Place had good vibes and it was crowded from the minute we walked in till the minute we left , will definitely go back there if I ever visit the area again . Service : Libby was out waitress and she was the nicest thing , making such a pleasant experience for us . So it was a win win .. great service , great vibe and great food . If you even go to Binghamton you definitely should check out Chris Diner .. 5 stars across the board .

Freshest, Most Delicious Breakfast Sandwich I've EVER Had!!! And don't get me started on these Home fries

We tried this diner, it was ok. Nothing special. The service was good, food came quickly. There is no ambiance, just clean. The blueberry pancakes were large, definitely not light and flaky. The sausage and gravy was not great. Prices were average for diner food.

Very good breakfast spot in Binghamton, NY as evidenced by how insanely busy it was!! This is your basic diner-kind-of-place that all the locals go which are always the best places for breakfast food! I was staying at a nearby hotel with 15 other women for a weekend get away and we came here on the last day right after we all checked out. We took up 4 tables (2 pushed together) and Maria was our server. Even with how slammed the restaurant was she took very good care of us and everything was tasty and came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I'll be sure to hit this spot next time I'm in Binghamton!

This is a cute little diner. The food was great & and the service was good. I definitely recommend this place as I'm sure I'll return during my 13 week stay here in town.

If you asked me to guess where COVID-19 started, I'd guess it was here. Truly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The first red flag started back in the parking lot, when I saw one of the cooks taking a cigarette break and "scratching" his nose. Immediately upon entry, I knew it was going to be bad. The decor was retro, but more retro in the fact it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years. The tables were cramped, the ceilings were low, the walls were dirty and yellow, and there was a thriving population of flies. While the food was cheap, believe me, my stomach payed for it later. The waffles and pancakes were dry, flavorless, and tasted like they came from an expired packet of Bisquick pancake mix. I didn't try the eggs and potatoes, but my party said they were just as bad. I really would've liked to support a small, family owned diner like Chris', but truthfully I don't know how this place is still in business.

This is a pretty good place to go to eat for lunch. this isn't the place to go if you're not carrying cash as this place only accepts cash.

I'm not a huge fan of chicken wings, but guys... Guys... GUUUUUUYS. The chicken wings here are legit DELICIOUS. The vibe of the restaurant is just chill and relaxed. It's clean, the service is great (the server took care of drink refills without us asking, checked back with us regularly & in a timely manner, and brought the items from our order out as they were ready), and the price point is great for what you get as well. We ordered 4 different kinds of wings - Cajun, Black Cherry Pepper BBQ, Carolina Gold (the star of the show), and Hot Honey Garlic. I'm a bit of a lightweight when it comes to heat, so I didn't try the Cajun... but I loved the bit of fruit flavor from the black cherry wings, and really enjoyed the bit of spice from the hot honey. Those Carolina Gold wings though... I would come back again and again for those alone. Consider me a chicken wing convert, I guess! ALSO... I almost forgot that we have the buffalo chicken eggrolls as an appetizer. Perfectly crunchy outer eggroll with delicious buffalo chicken inside. I'm not a bleu cheese gal (blasphemy with buffalo chicken, but I don't care), and the server brought a little side of ranch out for us to dip our eggrolls in. *chef's kiss* TL;DR GO. FOR. THE WINGS. Seriously... you're missing out if you don't. Get a bunch of flavors, share with friends (or eat them yourself - I won't judge), and wallow in the sauce-y goodness.

I had no expectations when I came here besides my motivation to eat because I was starving. When you enter the restaurant, you can order right away. To the left they have a bunch of tables. There are 2 or 3 benches outside if you wanted to sit outside. You just have to go all round through the front door to get there. Let's talk about the chicken tenders - I thought I was getting some regular diner kids menu quality nuggets but they were elite! They were soo crispy and super tender on the inside. The chicken was full of flavor. The best chicken tenders I've had in a while. I normally don't order these so I was so happy that I did! Now for the steak sandwich- I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was not this- a whole piece of meat in bread. I feel like it's a great value compared to other steak sandwiches I've had before. The meat itself plus the sauce on it made it delicious. There were no rough parts, everything was excellent. It was a big sandwich so my partner and I split it, or else I would not have been able to eat it on my own.

They have two locations. This one is farther north about 15 mins away from Binghamton University but closer to Suny Broome. Though there is a closer location to Binghamton. I heard that the rib eye sandwich is only available in the other location. Def worth the drive up. We also ordered the onion rings and chicken nuggets. But the star was the rib eye sandwich. Will beback very soon.

We ordered pretzel bites with beer cheese the pretzels were very salty but warm and in my opinion better without the cheese it definitely is more like nacho cheese rather than beer cheese but it's not bad just nothing to write home about. I got the Caprese Fried Chicken sandwich and it was pretty good and the fries in my opinion are the real show stopper crispy but not burnt the perfect fry homemade I believe too. My girlfriend got the Chicken Philly in a wrap and she enjoyed it. We had a new server training with Julianna and he was great very attentive asked if I wanted a refill when my drink was gone. The rest was edible with the shaved Parmesan cheese. I would have appreciated if the server informed me that the salad was made with mostly dark green leaves. A simple communication would have been considerate. She did offer me a separate menu item but I really wanted a salad, so I declined her offer. For the most up-to-date menu, they recommended visiting their Facebook page because the menu on Yelp is outdated. The chicken wings were super crispy, as I requested... I ordered a traditional "medium" Buffalo hot sauce with blue cheese. They were fresh and hot. I would have liked more than 3 celery sticks (and perhaps the bare wings could have used a touch more seasoning before frying)....BUT these wings were still excellent! This tavern is located on a street corner across from our Airbnb, in the heart of the city; a "walkable" location in Binghamton. I noticed an outdoor seating area, but there were no guests outside and the heaters were not lit. The staff inside were friendly and quick when we picked up. And get this...I think our wait times from order to pick up was 20 min...Super fast! The only reason I didn't offer 5 stars was that the wings are actually on the small side and one order costs over $15 (seems a little expensive for just 10 wings). We ordered 1 1/2 orders for the 2 of us. That said, I would definitely order again from Peterson's because the service & quality of the food was great. We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful.
