I grew up in Binghamton as a kid and have been moved out of the area for about 20 years. But whenever I come to see family I always stop here for a slice, or take a full sheet home. Staff is super cool, good prices as well. The place looks exactly the same and has that old school feel that I truly love. But most importantly the pizza tastes exactly the same as well. I had really high hopes for this place. First of all its not far from where I live so I was hoping this would become my super quick go to spot. Also they offer gluten free crust which is all my fiancé will eat. Pros We ordered from their online system which was easy and helped us know exactly how much we were spending (you pay per topping so it can get pricey) It has a lot of parking behind the building It was clean and the staff was courteous when I arrived to pick up. They had me check to make sure my order was correct before I left. The veggie pizza was delicious and the toppings were really generous. Cons Most of the toppings appear to come from a can/jar or possibly frozen- Did not look or taste fresh. The gluten free crust was average at best and the toppings were not so generous. His pizza looked very sad next to mine. There weren't a lot of unique toppings to choose from. All in all it was OK. Love their chicken cordon bleu pizza. It's my go to. It ain't cheap at nearly 30 bucks for a full sheet pizza, but it's totally worth it. See my pics! This is more of a service review than food. The food is consistently good and I personally think this location does wings the best out of all the branches. While the employees are all friendly and proficient, the manager (older guy) is my real problem with this place. He's an idiot, sure, but also a deep asshole/invasive little dickhead. Ever-ready with some inane unwarranted comment like "are you looking for the cameras? There's one right there..." when I was simply stretching my neck while glancing around the store waiting for my order. Did he think I was going to steal something? From a pizza place? Anyway I have no idea how this moron got to be in charge of anything, or have a job anywhere. When we lived in the Binghamton area for college, Nirchi's was a food-group-staple for us, haha. After moving away and many years later, we were recently back in town for a road trip. Our hotel was right next to this Nirchi's location, so of course we had to nostalgia-eats-indulge. Nirchi's has a full pizza shop menu to order fresh pies and sides, but also has a ready-to-grab-and-go hot line, with several specialty pizza slices and some sides to choose from. We ordered a couple small pies, me a cauliflower crust small with banana peppers, and my husband a small supreme. We ordered online, which was convenient and easy to use. Then when we walked over to pickup, my husband also snagged a couple specialty slices from the hot line, and I indulged in some macaroni salad. The pizzas were as we remembered, pretty good! Our pre-made pizzas were a generous size for a small. My one irksome complaint about my cauliflower crust pizza is several of the banana peppers were rutty husks. More care could have been put into not topping with obviously inedible husks, especially since adding a topping costs so much these days. But besides that we were both pleased with our food. When in Binghamton-Rome again, if convenient a Nirchi's slice is a solid choice for us. :-) read more

UPDATE: The quality has gone down, the sauce isn't that good anymore. I still think it's enjoyable but not as deserving as 4 stars anymore. Small price to pay for some good pizza! I've been to Nirchi's several times now and I still enjoy their food. I love the "deep dish" style of squared pizza that makes it easier to eat. Their prices for some menu items could be tweaked like the costs of toppings or chicken wings. However, I'm still spending less money on pizza than if I go to any other place. This was a horrible decision, made worse because I should have known better. Local friends had told me the food wasn't very good. But I still tried for myself. It seems to me that there isn't a chef in the building. A host of college kids slapping together food is what I experienced. They put my slice in a commercial bread toaster. I guess kids can't work an oven. Either way my pizza wasn't hot or even cooked. Was it FROZEN? The toppings all seemed raw. Only the name is Italian. The food besmirches the name. Though I'll admit- I was surprised the pizza SAUCE tasted good. The wings are the real reason I'm on Yelp right now. This restaurant shouldn't sell wings if this half hearted attempt is the best they can do. Firstly it was obvious that this was warmed over frozen chicken. That's okay- its all frozen, but it was so soggy and watery. The "breading", I guess you call it, was mushy and horrible. With a ladle of nasty barbecue sauce splashed over top. I went home with a nasty pile of wet chicken. With 6 inch "wings" that looked like sad drumsticks- it seems Nirchis is trying to trade size for flavor. Make the wings smaller, but try adding some flavor. I was sorely disappointed in this assembly line, run by kids, with half cooked soggy food. RUN, don't walk, to another restaurant. read more

This little place was next to my hotel and my only option for dinner so I tried it out. I was hoping it was classic round NY style pies where I could grab a couple of hot slices. Instead it is small square "slices." Service was friendly. They warmed up a few slices for me but instead of getting them hot and crispy it just warmed them up a little. The final product tasted like microwave-reheated frozen pizza. Not awful in case of emergency but shouldn't be an option if you're looking for any kind of real pizza. read more

The place said they open at 7:30am and. I went around 10:30am, to grab some lunch for school. They had absolutely nothing ready.... they only had garlic knots read. I was really disappointed..what's the whole point of advertising that your open at 7:30am when you have nothing to serve the customers at 10:30am. I found this location very disappointing. I got three squares. They threw them in one of those tiny conveyor belt ovens to heat them up. The slices were luke warm when I got them. $7 for luke warm pizza is awful. Their location on Vestal Pkwy is much better. Staff was friendly and place busy. Before taking the pizza out they showed you what it looks like and looked amazing. Smelled great in elevator and tasted awesome. I was in town for business for a night and ordered to my hotel room. I had the wings which had a flavorful sauce and were cooked just right. I also had pepperoni pizza. The crust was done just right, perfect combo of crunch and chew, and the pepperoni were nicely curled on top. The cheese was tasty and the cheese/sauce balance was right on. I lived in NYC for 30 years and would put this place up there with any NYC pizzeria. Will definitely eat here again if I'm in Binghamton. read more

I've only been to this nirchi's a small handful of times. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's definitely not as good as the other nirchi's I go to. I ordered a fresh pizza here recently, the same order I always get when I order from a nirchis... half sheet with half of it pepperoni with red sauce and then the other half white chicken spiedie. I know that there's a good chance that this was an off night, but the crust seemed thinner and a little more dense and chewy than what I usually get from other nirchis, and on the pepperoni side of the pizza there seemed to be less sauce than I usually get. the spiedie side was very dry. I think other locations use spiedie sauce right on the dough under the cheese but I don't think they did that here, I think they just put some garlic powder on it. the spiedies were also on the dry side too. I used to complain that nirchi's changed the way they did their spiedies, when I was a kid they used actual spiedies but now they use shredded chicken. well this location actually doesn't use the shredded chicken! it's kind of odd though that the chicken here was dry. oh well. a friend of mine orders from here every so often and she always complains about the wings and how they can't get them crisp enough. she even ordered extra crisp last time and they didn't get it right. well I tried my luck and ordered extra crisp and I had the same issue, they weren't crisp at all, why is that so hard for them to get right? I ordered medium buffalo and their sauce seemed a lot sweeter than the medium at the vestal nirchis. when it comes down to it, if I was in the area and craving nirchi's I might stop in here for a slice, but if I wanted a whole pizza I'd probably go a couple miles out of the way to their water street location downtown, it's much better. read more
