I like this restaurant. It is cozy on the inside. The waiters are really great. I order the ribs with potato salad and baked beans and enjoy it. They've also got some of the best pickles anywhere. They even carry packets of lemon juice, yes packets. Great smell when you walk in. Surprised that it's usually empty when I go there. read more

I just wanted to give a A+++++ to Billy Sims off of Edmond for providing excellent and superior customer service and delicious feast for our Christmas Eve party. From the moment I called in the order to delivering our food at our door they stayed in contact and really went above and beyond . We used a different restaurant last year that not only forgot about our $300 order, which was delivered 2 1/2 hours late, they did not include 1 container of bbq sauce, so this year had a lot of apprehension!!! The apprehension was completely at ease with Billy Sims!!! The delivery driver was running about 10 minutes late and before he was late he called to tell me, he was running about 10 minutes late and he was very sorry. He showed up within the time he said and was very very kind and apologetic. I greatly appreciated him contacting me before hand. We had hot, delicious and tons of food with lots and lots of bbq sauce. My guest just raved about the service and food!!!! I would highly highly recommend Billy Sims for any party you have!!!!! There are so many BBQ restaurants in the Oklahoma City area but only a handful of them are really what I would consider great BBQ. The reason I put Billy Sim's BBQ of Edmond in that catagory is the quality of their products. There is a difference between a poor quality rack of ribs or brisket, and one of high quality and I can attest to the high quality of their meats. Now take this high quality product and put it in the hands of an experienced smoker who uses the perfect rub to enhance the flavor of the meat not overpower it. This is the final product you receive from Billy Sim's of Edmond. They have a great selection of side dishes and my daughter always asks for extra toast. We picked up a chopped brisket sandwich and a Heisman sandwich with chopped brisket, hot link and bologna. The brisket was tough. The bologna and hot link were cut so thin that they were hardly worth trying to eat. We liked the sauce. The sides were small portions and nothing special. Stopped here after an entire weekend attending the Oklahoma State swim competition to cheer my son on and my son and daughter were reluctant eaters but in the end they devoured most of their meals and enjoyed the food. The restaurant itself has ample parking, lots of seating, DIY sodas/juices/tea, and the restaurant and restrooms are relatively clean and only slightly cluttered behind the counter. Menu is clear and well organized, prices are reasonable. I'm not a huge fan of this athlete inspired/owned chain but I will say the neat, what ever meat you choose is cooked well and it's flavorful and moist. The sides leave a bit go be desired, my son said the cheese and Mac was bland. My daughter enjoyed her prepackaged fruit cup but it was a pre packaged fruit cup..... I've had their slaw before when I wasn't eating Keto and can attest it's reasonably good. They serve slices of very thick toast slightly buttered and browned about n to be side and my son ate all of our bread since my keto and my daughters intolerance to gluten made us the reluctant losers to this wonderfully delicious bread (again, I know from my time eating there before Keto days). My son had a turtle brownie that he says was average as well. Sides would be easy to tweet to match the great main courses, it's a shame Billy Simms doesn't step up his game and serve gourmet drop dead delicious sides and run for the fourth down three yards to go play and take a chance. read more

Not a fan at all of this business. I've been here around the three times hoping that food might one day get better and it never does. The chicken is dry and signature sauce is so bland its ridiculous. The customer service is pretty ok hence the reason why they will get 3 stars but overall I probably wont be back. read more

The meat here is really good, and that's probably the best selling point. Great brisket, good hot links, and fantastic ribs. Probably the best ribs I've had. You really get a lot for your money here. The service is usually very friendly, too. I don't think I've ever had anybody be rude there. My only complaint is the sides, and that's why I give four stars instead of five. I feel like barbeque has to have fried okra, but they don't have anything fried. Still, it's a small price to pay, and I still go there pretty often and I don't think I'm ever disappointed. Second time to try them. First time food was good and wanted to try them again today. Went there and needed to feel 10. I called ahead and was told they had plenty of food...and they did, but when I ordered the guy behind the counter started complaining that I should have ordered this a day ahead. I told him I did not have a heads up, but I called and they said they had plenty. He said yes, but what if other customers came in and wanted food that they were out of because of my order. After an exchange of ideas I cancelled my order and started to leave Then I asked to speak to the manager. The manager (who was a kid just like the counter guy) came up with much the same attitude. He was a bit nicer, but instead of offering an apology he pretty much just stated what the counter guy said. Wow I never went to a restaurant were they complained because you wanted to make a large order...I thought that was what they were there for. Needles to say that I turned and walked out without buying the food that they started to get ready for me. Don't think I will be back. Oh and just and FYI this was at the Norman location. Too bad the food that I did have was really good. I did manage to get my food from Dickies though. They were more than a little pleases with my $130.00 purchase and wished me fortune and to come back when I needed more. That is the way it is supposed to be right? read more

Food was fresh and great tasting. Being from out of town I thought it was going to be more of bar & grill restaurant. Its more of a fast food environment but has legit meat and sides. Baked potato salad is the side to try! Meat was great. Service was good. Just thought I could enjoy some adult beverages with the great meat but still was enjoyable. I wish we had had the chance to actually try the food. We pulled up to the drive-thru at about 12:45 hoping to order sandwiches for lunch. We sat at the menu board for a few minutes saying "hello?" into the speaker because nobody ever tried to take our order. Thinking it must be broken, we pulled to the window and sat there waiting for someone. There was nobody in sight for several minutes. We waited a little longer, and finally a girl starts coming toward the window. She stopped at the window, turned her attention to a register right there at the window, and she didn't even acknowledge us sitting there! There was another guy in the background that could clearly see us. He also ignored us and walked back in another direction out of sight. The girl continued whatever she was doing right there at the window and completely ignored us, so we drove off and went somewhere else. We were in a full size pickup truck and sitting up at the level of the window. No way she didn't see us. Really disappointing! If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

Thought it was great how the gentleman sliced the meat in front of you, everything was really fresh. Not sitting out all day. Service was wonderful, so kind. Of course, if the slaw and beans are good, that seals the deal. Well, two thumbs up on those. The ribs literally fell off the bones before I even got it to my mouth. Sauce was kinda sweet and oh so good.... Will definitely make this my one and only barbq stop. Yes, I also agree Sims needs to curb his enthusiam at the next Heisman. I am not sure how this place stays in business with Steve's and Earl right up the street. The pulled pork sandwich was so salty I could not eat it, the beans are campbells with some salty pork added . The only good thing I can say is the cole slaw was good. read more
