This is my favorite bbq in Edmond. We go here for special occasions like birthdays and Father's Day, etc. I went through the drive thru and ordered my food. The girl at the window was fantastic. Very happy, polite, and friendly, so great job! I open up my 2 meat dinner with sliced brisket and sides, and there is no utensils! Ugh! I just paid $22 for myself and no utensils! I had to improvise to eat the baked beans and potato salad, don't ask what I did. Usually, when I take a bite out of the sliced brisket, it instantly puts a smile on my face and it melts in my mouth. This time, that didn't happen. It was hard and very dry. I poured all the rest of the bbq sauce over it, but it just wasn't the same. I must admit, I was disappointed on my visit today, but I will be back again, because they are usually pretty awesome. read more

We had a great experience. My wife and I decided to go here after we dropped our kids off at a birthday party. I had the rib dinner and added a Polish sausage. She had the one meat plate with pulled pork. She loved her meal and said there was barely any fat on it and it tasted perfect. I loved the ribs and when I added the Okie smoke sauce to the sausage, it was perfect. The people working were super friendly and did a great job checking on us throughout our meal. We will definitely be coming back. read more

So. The bearded fellow at the checkout is not friendly or personable, shakes his head when I was asking a question, etc.,seems very stressed. 2 stars for the cashier. The food seems to be very good and that OG sauce is on point though!!! Cool decor but the cashier left me with a sour and almost sour taste in my mouth. Levels out as a three, nobody wants to feel out of place while eating. Food is good though! read more

This is what true Southern Hospitality is! I came in with my 90+ grandmother so we were managing a walker, doors, and finding the restroom. Before we even got to the door the general manager, Lucas, held every door open for us (from front to the restroom!). We got a brisket sandwich and lunch special chicken sandwich which came quickly and hot! The okra was AMAZING. I wish I could eat that everyday. It was hot from the frier and perfect on the inside not hard or mushy. Another employee came and checks on us sharing about their house made sauces (made daily) giving us sauce suggestions. To top it off the general manager kindly dropped off free sandwich coupons. The service was what really made my day! Well that and the perfect fried okra read more

Best BBQ in the metro! Call ahead for pickup. If you say it, they'll be sure you have it.

Huge shout out to Texlahoma BBQ for catering my bridal luncheon! Their customer service was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Friendly, responsive and very easy to work with. The pricing was more than fair and they delivered RIGHT ON TIME! The set up was seamless and stress free. The food was a massive hit. Every bit of brisket was eaten (not a single piece left). We only had a small amount of chicken remaining. The fried okra and mac and cheese were huge crowd pleasers. We also enjoyed the green beans and potato salad. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. I highly recommend Texlahoma for high quality catering and incredible flavor. They helped make my bridal luncheon for approximately 40 guests truly special. read more

I downloaded this app just so I could write this review. This is NOT your average place. The people that work here have a Passion for the meat and a desire to please the customer that you Rarely find today. Excellent service, great food along with a clean restaurant. Bravo! read more

Texlahoma BBQ - Smoked daily! - Barbeque Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

I just left the absolutely WORST BBQ restaurant. The meat was tasteless and dry beyond belief so apparently they tried to cover it with over seasoning. The ribs LOOKED good but had a thick crust that was a mix of sickly sweet molasses candy and an over abundance of Chinese five spice. In better ratios that would be awesome but this crust was 100% on the ick scale. The service was great though read more

Stopped in today for BBQ lunch. The meat was ok, nothing special not a ton of flavor either. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in making a decision. If you are looking for great bbq skip on by read more

We decided to try Texlahoma as others consistently mention it as "best BBQ" when people ask for recs in the Edmond / OKC area. The daily specials menu brought us in - $6 for a pulled pork sandwich is a great throwback price, too. Overall we found the menu to be reasonably priced and we ended up getting a $6 sandwich to go for someone at home, and we tried several other items, pictured. I would definitely order the queso potato again. It looked simple but was bursting with flavor. The sliced brisket was extremely tender - notably more so than other BBQ joints. I liked the flavor of the baked beans, and we all agreed that the French fries were perfect. Service was helpful and enthusiastic. I prefer the counter ordering system they use here, but they did bring our food out, which I appreciate. The restaurant wasn't busy when we visited during the noon hour on a weekday, so I really hope they can gather enough business to stay open because the food was good. Everything was clean and there was a mix of tables and booths. The only downside was my husband wasn't a huge fan of the BBQ sauce, which had a sweet onion flavor. I liked it, though. He would've loved a spicier option without the onion. Another bonus is their meal specials are valid all day, not just at lunch time. So kids eat free all day on Mondays! We'll be back. read more

We used Texlahoma Barbecue for our son's rehearsal dinner & it was wonderful. Toni, the Catering Manager was awesome to work with, always friendly & professional and easy to contact. The buffet they set up was great & all of our guests commented on how good the food was. The staff they sent were cordial & friendly as well, and they cleaned up afterwards & even took the trash. I wish I could give them 10 stars! read more

Come in today around 12:00 and there was hardly anyone in the place. Should have clued in on that. Have eaten here before and food was very good. Ordered ribs and sliced brisket with some green beans. Received chopped cold brisket-tough ribs-terrible green beans and average fries. Portions were small which was fine because the food was the worst barbecue I've had in a long time. Place never got busy and there was no employee that appeared to have any interest in the customers. Won't be in business long with bad food and bad service-recipe for going out of business. read more

The chopped brisket was just right; tasty and doesn't need sauce. Fried okra was fresh, hot, and crunchy. The staff is helpful. The only negative is the music which is shared from S & B Burgers. The music is sometimes so loud it's hard to have a pleasant conversation. read more

Their baked potato was so tasty. The turkey was juicy and potato was huge! Maybe it was the temperature of the day or the room but potato got cold fast and my butter wouldn't melt but a quick zap in the micro fixed that. Will definitely have again. read more

I've been here several times and it's always been solid. I took a friend for his first time and it was really, really good. We're both BBQ snobs and tonight was on point. Wet Sliced brisket. Peppery and Smokey. Great. Smoked turkey. Cajun"ish" rub and juicy. Ribs. Fall off the bone tender Extra crispy okra. Staff was super friendly Great job. read more

I typically like the food here. I like the sauces and the barbecue. So I called from my house to get the butler potato to go. I live at 122nd and Douglas. The lady said they were slammed and she would get right back with me. I stayed on hold for 19 minutes and 34 seconds the whole time it took me to get from my house to the restaurant. I made my order then I told the fella that I was on hold for 19 minutes. He said that may have been some other restaurant you called !!! I said I looked it up on Google second Street in Edmond, called that number and the lady that answered the phone TexLahomaBbQ. She said they were slammed and she would get right back with me. Obviously, she never did. I would've thought I would've at least got a half of a baked potato or for free if not the whole meal. Sorry, but I don't do business this way unfortunately I like y'all's food. Y'all will have to do better to get my business back. Service !!!! read more

The brisket sandwich was amazing super fresh, tender, and full of flavor. My fries were hot and fresh too, and the barbecue sauce was absolutely delicious. The service was great from start to finish. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

We have ordered the chopped brisket. It is smoked to perfection and has a great BBQ flavor.

Ok. Let start by saying the staff was awesome!! Very nice and know how to treat customers. However, the food was less than satisfactory. Food temperature was fine, but the taste was just a different take on barbecue. The Turkey I had was ok, the smoked sausage was far below average, the ribs my wife had were just fair, and her sliced brisket was not the best. My fries were average. Her street corn had no flavor. Doubt we will come back. read more

UPDATE: I came back today to get some brisket. I ordered the 2 meat combo w/pulled pork, chopped brisket, street corn and potato salad. The food here is fucking delicious and easily in the running for my new favorite bbq spot . The street corn was full of flavor and very well done. I normally am picky with potato salad and I love their "mushy" potato salad. The pulled pork once again was very moist and juicy. The chopped brisket also, was very moist. I can't recommend this place enough. Cheers! read more

Food is very good, consistantly the same. Service is terrible. Restaurant is clean. $20 for a BBQ dinner seems a little high. Order taker not friendly, no greeting, obviously not happy about being there. Gentleman brought food to table but almost ran back to kitchen before I could tell him what else I needed. Of course no dining room service or follow up. This is Saturday, 12:15 PM & there was one other table when I walked in. Only 5 more people came in over the next 45 minutes. I wonder why? read more

Was in Edmond for business. Finished my job around noon and was about to head back to Tulsa when my hunger alarm went off. Saw this place and pulled. They offer drive through service but a bbq sandwich can be a little messy to eat in the car. So I went inside and ordered at the counter. Lots of Texicana adorns the walls giving a true Texas feel to the place. My sandwich was quite good with a side of beans and 3 sauces to choose from - hot, mild and sweet. The adjacent table had ribs and they looked outstanding. If I go back to Edmond I'd definitely go back. read more

The food has got to be the best bbq I have had in OKC! But what set this experience apart from any other restaurant has got to be the staff. We were welcomed with smiles as we walk in. When the staff found out it was our first time in, they were genuinely excited to tell us why they love their food and their recommendations were on point. You have to try the ribs, brisket and potato salad. The mvp was Kaleb and the culture he helped build here. I wish I would have gotten the rest of the staff's names because they all deserve a shout out. I will be back and bringing others with me. read more

First time here at the new location on 2nd street in Edmond. Used the drive thru to order. I got the ribs, fries, and street corn. My ribs were the end of the rack and pretty tough. I ate half of one rib and threw the rest away. The street corn was simply unseasoned canned corn with a little cilantro, I think. Totally tasteless. Canned corn??? Really?? Not cool. The fries were the best thing here. That's why I gave them 2 stars. They were crispy, flavorful, and not greasy and I loved them. All in all this place is pretty expensive for what you get. With tip it was $18. read more

Wonderful super helpful staff. Best customer service I have experienced in a really long while from the entire team there tonight. Highly recommend! read more

Everything we ordered except for the jalapeño sausage was extremely salty. Very disappointed

Had takeout tonight from here. This was my first experience with texahoma. It had good and bad. Let's start with the basics. Both me and my wife got 2 meat plates which came at a nice price. They each came with 2 choices of meat and 2 sides, onions pickles and a piece of bread. On the sides I had Mac and cheese green beans, and I ordered one extra small order of corn salad. The corn salad was the best by far. The Mac and cheese was ok nothing really good. The green beans....I could care less. Neither me or my wife cared for them at all. So sides could use some attention for sure to make the place better. The meat however was pretty good and their mild sauce was excellent. I had sliced brisket and pulled pork and would recommend either. read more

I have to say, Texlahoma just nails it every time for brisket. I can't speak on their other meats, but their brisket is awesome. Additionally, their mild sauce is sweet and tangy in just the right way that pairs well with the smokey and peppery brisket. Their sides are also pretty good, though I wish they'd toast the bread. There are a lot of choices for bbq in Oklahoma and Texlahoma is at the top of the list! read more

I ordered 2 small sides a large tea and a large ice water. My total came to 12.99 which I thought seemed a little high since I just ordered a couple of sides. I had to ask for my receipt and I noticed that they charged me $3.00 for the large ice water....that's a little steep in my opinion for ice water!!! This was only my 2nd time here but it will be my last. The 1st time I ordered a Turkey sandwich which I didn't finish. The Turkey was dry and very little flavor. read more

The meat was not tender. We had to get our own food, silverware, and drinks but a tip was asked for in the beginning while paying. What did I tip for? I was told we went to the wrong location but if there are multiple locations everything should be consistent. Ambiance? Super cold, empty, not welcoming. read more

The food i had tonight at the Waterloo location was terrible. The cook and servers were cocky about their food and service was less than average. My biggest complaint is that I paid $11.58 at the location on Second St. versus the $11.91 at the Waterloo location for the same meal. (I bought both meals within 1 hour) I would definitely visit this restaurant again and pay a premium for their food because of the customer service and quality! The service that I got at the Second street location was second to none! They had amazing customer service!! The young gentleman that took my order was very polite and delightful!! read more

You see the name and you expect Texas BBQ but you get something else. The rubs taste like they have chili powder and cumin in them which is a sin for Texas BBQ. They would do so much better doing a salt and pepper rub. The rub they use takes away from the natural meat taste. You also get these tiny ribs. Not a fan of cutting off the tips. The brisket is better but nothing to write home about. I don't understand the hype but since so many love this place just keep doing what you do. If you're a Texas BBQ fan this is not the spot. The service is fine and the place is clean. read more

So we're driving around looking for a new place to try and ran across Texlahoma BBQ. So glad we did!! I had the butler potato, and let me tell you.. this potato is a monster!! A bucket of queso.. Pulled pork, brisket, sliced sausage, and a freakin Rib!! Oh.. there's also a big baked potato in there somewhere, if you can get to it. My girlfriend had the pulled pork sandwich with street corn (street corn was Soo wonderful!) everything was really good! The house made bbq sauce was some of the best we've had in a while. Cool little place, and we would definitely recommend it! Thanks! read more

As much as I hated to give this location three stars, I couldn't give it more. I'm a true stan of the OG Texlahoma and was super stoked to know it was coming closer to the city, so stopping in was a must do! However, it seemed to be way more commercialized which really altered the flavor of the things I got! It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the same! It's worth the try though and I love how they have added so much more to the menu, so it's definitely lots of options for everyone! read more

Good stuff! My family loves this place. Not overly crowded, quick service, and clean atmosphere. Many places nowadays seems to be loud and you can barely think when youre eating, but Im pretty comfortable here eating with my kiddos. The brisket is ok the fattier side, cooked well, and is tender. The brisket is cooked well and is tender. Their meats arent overly smoked and I prefer BbQ like that. But if you prefer smoked flavors, this isnt your place, its more mild. Sides we got loaded baked potato (which is huge), mac and cheese, potato salad (mildly blended), and pasta salad. Next time, Ill try other sides and meats! read more

Solid food and good service are certainly part of the Texlahoma game plan. The dining room is what one would expect from a bare bones kind of barbecue place. I recommend the family sized meals especially when they are running a special. Fried okra is tops! read more

Best sliced brisket and ribs I have ever eaten. Love the French fries! Laid back atmosphere with good service. Check it out!

Went last night and had pulled pork nachos that were chips, cheese, pork and a dollop of sour cream. Why ask "do you want all the toppings" if you then leave off jalapeños and anything else? Also the pork was mushy - like it had been boiled vs smoked. Very weird and off putting texture. Our ravenous teenager left 3/4 of his. He'd have normally eaten everything AND the paper they were served on. Other person had a sandwich and was told - about 20 minutes after ordering - that they were out of buns. Took another 10 minutes to just bring out the meat and side by themselves. It was only 6:00 so assume they didn't get a delivery or didn't plan well. But should have known before we ordered that they were out (certainly low) on bread. $60 for four and left more than half our food on the trays. Just not a good night. read more

I thought queso was kind of a strange thing to put on a BBQ potato - turns out I was right! The queso sauce itself, wasn't wonderful, and I've had better baked potatoes. I also did not particularly care for the sauce. My wife's brisket and fries were very good. Go for the brisket and fries, stay away from the baked potato. read more
