Came here with my boy for lunch. We wanted BBQ and Big Os was closed for some reason so this was the next pick for us. The ribs came off the bones like it should but the brisket was mid is tenderness and flavor. Over all the food was pretty good along with the serving size. I will be back if I'm in the area for BBQ. We love our BBQ! We seek out the best BBQ places in the country when we travel and have had BBQ in Austin, KC, Memphis and North Carolina. Oklahoma is our home and for years Earls has been our go to for BBQ mainly for convenience but it had been consistently good. But the last 3-4 times we have picked up take out, it has not been good. This last time will be the last time. My husband got the two meat combo with sliced brisket and ribs. The brisket was dry. The ribs tasted old and reheated and were very tough. Lovely southern hospitality! Interesting wall decorations with license plates from different states plastered all over the walls (with the one from Texas being upside-down). Was in the area for work and mentioned I wanted some BBQ. After colleagues discussed, Earl's was determined to be the best. Deviled eggs were good but not my grandmothers. Mac and cheese was good but left me wanting more from the cheese sauce. The sandwich however was the most amazing BBQ sandwich I've had in recent times. The Smokestack was delicious. This is one of our favorite BBQ places in the area. We love the ribs and the spicy sausage links especially. The links are my husband's favorite. Their curly fries are also delicious. However, they were not as tasty and fresh tonight as they usually are. Service is not the best. I dont think the girl serving us tonight knew whe was at work instead of hanging out lol. She sat down at our table while taking our order (doesnt bother me too much but funny, others might be a lot more put off by that). We ordered one of the big platters and split it and we always have it divided on separate plates. She came out with it on one plate and apologized (did not offer to have it split up) and told us it was because of how busy she was. She also forgot the ranch we ordered with it (no biggie on that though because she went and got it right away when we asked for it again). The most awkward thing was that she brought our check out with our food and told us how she needed to leave soon to hang out with her friend since it is Friday the 13th. It's like 7pm and she's wanting to leave already? That's prime time for a server. We started eating and in 5 minutes she printed out our check again and brought it back. Haha she was really ready for us to leave or super forgetful lol. Honestly, the whole experience was super weird and horrible service but the girl looked like a teenager and she was cute about everything so it smoothed over okay. I have always liked Earls! I have eaten at several of their locations over the years, but hadn't been here in a really long time. We were craving BBQ during lockdown this past summer, and my husband mentioned to me that Earls had a drive thru, so we ordered online and picked it up. We loved it so much, that we've literally gotten it 7 or 8 times since like August. It's now our go to BBQ spot. In fact, we picked some up today and it was nothing short of perfect, like always. The service is consistently great also! We've had nothing but wonderful experiences every time. The Pig Pack family meal (feeds about 4 adults, or two with yummy leftovers!) is what we usually get. You get so much food and I think it's a very reasonable price ($35) for barbecue. We always get chopped brisket, sliced brisket and pulled pork. The brisket is so good. Super awesome with some of their hot barbecue sauce. I also love love love their house made chips. They're pretty amazing. Especially dipped in ranch or bbq sauce! Something else we've discovered that we love about Earls are their sandwiches and salads. You can get a smoked bologna sandwich with a side for $5. It is a huge meal and it's cheaper than going to McDonald's or some fast food place. Finally after much research and years of investigation I have figured out why no one outside of the Rib Palace actually has a coworker named Earl. Incredibly enough every single location of Earl's Rib Palace employs at least one man or woman named Earl. The Earl at each location is in charge of procuring the animals that will be used for their location. They then butcher and cook every meal. This is the cause of the food being as fresh as an ox who feeds only on sun baked armadillo meat. The ribs at Earl's actually create a home for you to vacation in during the summer. Once you arrive at this vacation home you begin to dig further into the ribs and the rub that coats them. The rub creates both a sweetness and smokiness that reminds you of home and of the road at the same time. Earl always takes the extra time to ensure you get a clean bite mark when you take a bite outta crime-er I mean...a bite out of the ribs. Sorry my days as a newspaper headline writer in the 1940's came back to me and it's hard to shake old habits am I right? Anyways back to how great of a job the Earl at this location does at cooking each and every dish and side to absolute greatness. Earl creates outstanding and tender brisket by actually punching the sides of beef in a meat freezer. The scene in Rocky was actually filmed at the Earl of Philadelphia's meat freezer! (Fake news) The side options at the Rib Palace are so difficult to create correctly that each Earl takes no less than three years learning how to properly make them. These sides are so far above mediocre that mediocre shouldn't be used to describe them because they are way better than that. Good food... I am writing this not after a recent trip but from my memories of repeated visits. They have decent Bar-B-Que... One of the metro's good Bar-B-Que places and worth going to. A female friend of mine put me onto their Cheddar Burger. It was against my thinking to try a burger at a Bar-B-Que place but I was pleased with their version of my most staple food. I have since found myself making it a place to drive through and pick up a good burger on those times I want something better than fast food but I am not going inside to sit down for a meal. It is a fillingly large burger with good burger taste and and a soft bun. The Curly fries I eat with them are always over-seasoned but still a good accompaniment. I will order a chopped Brisket Sandwich here when I eat inside. Their brisket is well worth the eating unlike some I have had in the metro area. The Ribs here are passable but not laudable. In truth Earls is perhaps my third favorite Bar-B-Que place in the metro. The multiple outlets make it a dependable place for Que and I recommend it if you are not sure where to go. read more

First time and honestly it didn't disappoint and I'm from Texas y'all so I know good barbque, a friend and i came for a quick lunch and when I arrived I was pretty overwhelmed with the menu just because there's so much variety to choose from , from ribs,burgers, wings and salad for all the healthier eaters . I ordered a turkey sandwich with a side of curly fries and let's just say I can see another one in the near future with my name on it. The turkey was a bit salty but the mild barbque sauce made it so much better, and for all the spicy eaters they do offer a hot barbque sauce. The drinks were self served which I loved because you don't be to wait for anyone to refill your drinks you just do it on your own. I spent all day dealing with the fact that my house had caught on fire last night it didn't feel like cooking so I ordered some pick up from Earls tonight. This Has to be the worst food I've ever eaten. The okra was so salty we just threw it away. I smoked chicken and smoked turkey we got were so dry they might as well have been beef jerky. Pulled pork had no taste at all and the beans tasted like nothing but barbecue sauce. For as expensive as all of that food was I expected better quality. I will never eat here again. read more

Considering the amount of choices there are in the Oklahoma City area, you would think they all would be doing everything possible to keep customers. I have been a bulwark for Earl's for many years, however, as with all restaurants things tend to go south at some point. So it seems to have happened, as three of the last four pulled pork sandwiches I have had from Earl's have been at least 1/3 gristle.
