I finally caught wind to swadleys breakfast, I walked in around 9:55 am I wasn't aware breakfast ended at 10am. I felt so bad, the cashier Jayden was so pleasant he was like don't worry. If the menu is up you can still order. It wasn't too busy, very quiet music playing low. Mostly just staff cleaning and preparing for lunch and dinner. These breakfast tacos are so good! The salsa on the side is the perfect combination. I tried both salsas, I can't even say I like one more than the other. They are both good! First time at this location and still was a good time with some great bbq. The drink/bbq bar situation was a little confusing but eventually we understood that a waitress was going to get all that for us. We got here at 12:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon and they were busy. We were in the mood for a chicken fried steak. We of course got the okra and we decided to try the mac n cheese. The chicken fry was delicious. Lightly battered, thin and no gristle. The okra is hot and plentiful. We weren't crazy about the mac n cheese. Noodles were slightly overcooked and needed more salt. It was creamy. We met Lucky who was in mgmt and had a great conversation. We hope to see him again. We enjoy going into places and seeing the same employees. Feels like seeing family in a good way. Who made the sides today? Really REALLY off! Potato salad was pretty much mayo and undercooked potatoes. Sweet beans had WAY too much Liquid Smoke. Most people don't eat just meat no matter how good it is. The sides sucked enough to make the dry and tough brisket look good. Way too many better options.... read more

I'm a long time customer but not sure I'll go back. Staff is always nice. I'm wasn't inside but it appears clean. I don't like it when they put the small containers inside with my food. I know those things get dropped once in awhile. I ordered the one meat meal through the drive through and was very disappointed when I opened it at home. I ordered sliced brisket, okra, and potato salad. Portion size has gotten smaller again. Potato salad was thin colored mash potatoes. Heavy on mayo. The best thing was the okra. I guess they quit giving rolls or at least I didn't get one. The barbecue sauce had a funny twang to it so I wasn't too upset that I was given just one. Just flew into town and had to grab me some dinner. I made a great choice here. Love the full service they offer. Food was amazingly good loved the ribs nice and sticky good. Eggs in the potato salad with paprika dusted on top was fantastic. The corn was fantastic too. Sausage was good too. I tried two of the bbq sauces. Honey sweet and Spicy Both definitely need to be tried. I definitely suggest adding this place to the must visit locations to eat. read more

Overpriced bbq. No clue why this place has a 4 rating. Before Covid we would come here with my grandad and it was better. The onion & pickle bar was self serve as well as the bbq. Now a server brings you everything one tablespoon of bbq sauce at a time. The ribs were tough and chewy, the pulled pork has no flavor at all, the brisket was dry as a bone. The okra is so overcooked to "crispy" that they look like shriveled up belly buttons and there's zero actual okra left inside. To top it off, NOTHING was even warm. Their beans are decent but not anything special nor worth coming back for. There were 4 of us in our party and it was almost $100. Highway robbery! 3.5 I'll preface, BBQ is not in my top ten fav cuisines so take with a grain of salt. I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket, great, and chicken, dry. Jalapeño corn was my favorite part of the meal, was delicious. Also had the Mac, standard, and had a bite of the hot links, good and HOT, for me. We have been eating Swadleys for years. I love their chicken. There have been times it has not been a good chicken, as something was off with that serving. The sides are good. Love the salad bar, but try not to eat it unless we are first at the restaurant, due to Covid. The service is always good, they always stop by and check on the table. I love getting their breakfast plenty of goodness. Then the dinner is awesome too. There is never a rush. It's just family oriented.

We went through the swadley's drive thru Saturday and I got home with a completely different order by accident ..... I called and he gave me two $20 vouchers to collect at the store at my convenience. So tonight we went back they were soooo sweet and efficient. He gave us our meals plus free drinks & then at the end brought over some cobbler with ice cream on top. The whole staff was just so kind and friendly to my family on top of a great experience. 10/10 recommending the swadley's on 39th! read more

First let me say I can only review this location, haven't tried the others and I'm handicapped and have to use a walker so I always place orders to-go. I'm not sure what happened but this location used to be pretty consistent, not so much anymore. Stay away from the burgers, steak and meat loaf. They don't know how to cook them. Always have the consistency of charred hockey pucks. The other meats are pretty much hit or miss, sometimes really good but more often than not they are undercooked. Ordered sweet beans, was sent spicy beans that I couldn't eat. One dinner was missing a dinner roll. Chicken Fried Steak dinner overcooked and nearly burned. Totally gross flavor and texture. Same with the okra. Gravy recipe seems to have changed to a bland, peppery flour mix that is thicker and gelatinous. Stay away from the fried items! We paid a lot of money for a bunch of inedible food. Soooo disappointed and mad! Won't be ordering from there or visiting in store anymore. read more

I got the pork ribs and I can honestly say they where some of the worst ribs I have ever had. The ribs where covered in fat, there was so much fat it effectively glued the very small amount of meat to the bone. The ribs honestly didn't have any flavor, I had to cover it in BBQ sauce. My knife had something stuck to the side of it. The cloth "napkins" where very ineffective at getting food off your hands and mouth. read more

Dried out okra, over seasoned & overcooked "Ranch potatoes", mashed potatoes tasted like n overbaked potatatoe mashed up with package gravy, old creamy corn, rolls were puny and undercooked.
