This is what true Southern Hospitality is! I came in with my 90+ grandmother so we were managing a walker, doors, and finding the restroom. Before we even got to the door the general manager, Lucas, held every door open for us (from front to the restroom!). We got a brisket sandwich and lunch special chicken sandwich which came quickly and hot! The okra was AMAZING. I wish I could eat that everyday. It was hot from the frier and perfect on the inside not hard or mushy. Another employee came and checks on us sharing about their house made sauces (made daily) giving us sauce suggestions. To top it off the general manager kindly dropped off free sandwich coupons. The service was what really made my day! Well that and the perfect fried okra

Smoked daily!

I downloaded this app just so I could write this review. This is NOT your average place. The people that work here have a Passion for the meat and a desire to please the customer that you Rarely find today. Excellent service, great food along with a clean restaurant. Bravo!

Weekly specials - valid all day

We decided to try Texlahoma as others consistently mention it as "best BBQ" when people ask for recs in the Edmond / OKC area. The daily specials menu brought us in - $6 for a pulled pork sandwich is a great throwback price, too. Overall we found the menu to be reasonably priced and we ended up getting a $6 sandwich to go for someone at home, and we tried several other items, pictured. I would definitely order the queso potato again. It looked simple but was bursting with flavor. The sliced brisket was extremely tender - notably more so than other BBQ joints. I liked the flavor of the baked beans, and we all agreed that the French fries were perfect. Service was helpful and enthusiastic. I prefer the counter ordering system they use here, but they did bring our food out, which I appreciate. The restaurant wasn't busy when we visited during the noon hour on a weekday, so I really hope they can gather enough business to stay open because the food was good. Everything was clean and there was a mix of tables and booths. The only downside was my husband wasn't a huge fan of the BBQ sauce, which had a sweet onion flavor. I liked it, though. He would've loved a spicier option without the onion. Another bonus is their meal specials are valid all day, not just at lunch time. So kids eat free all day on Mondays! We'll be back.

Baked potato with turkey, butter and sour cream.

Their baked potato was so tasty. The turkey was juicy and potato was huge! Maybe it was the temperature of the day or the room but potato got cold fast and my butter wouldn't melt but a quick zap in the micro fixed that. Will definitely have again.

Ribs were the only thing that were halfway decent. Did not like the baked beans AT ALL. BBQ Sauce was like a sweet chili sauce...odd.

Food was cold (we ate at the restaurant). They forgot two of our sides. Ribs were greasy.

Delicious food. Some of best bbq around IMO. Wish they did the burnt ends here. But other than that, the new place is legit.

We watched people sing happy birthday w a giant slice of strawberry shortcake. Great portions! We ordered the judges plate and added the burnt ends along w a small side of sweet cream corn. The food! Cornbread was on point! Not grainy, overly sweet, or dry! Soft, not bitter. Champion beans are delicious, smoky, seasoned just right. Mac & cheese!!! OMG! It's just right!! Creamy, full flavor, and not bitter. Sweet cream corn, I mean, you should try it, ask for a small sample so you can decide! Burnt ends!!!! You cannot leave this place w/o trying them. We added it for an additional $4 and it was worth it! The brisket had a nice smoke ring, full of flavor. Soft and not dry at all! Juicy. The chicken fell off the bone. Tender. Well seasoned. The pull pork was perhaps my favorite. On its own it was delicious but adding some of the world champion sauce and the spicy sauce together just took it there!! Hands down, glad we made that turn and drove the extra 10m to this place on our way to California.

This is pretty good barbecue in Oklahoma City. We were seated and served by the sweetest waitress…read moreand I think she and our little almost two-year old grandson had a great time entertaining each other. Honestly the sliced brisket left a lot to be desired and I do not think that it is the same product as the burnt ends. I am wondering if the burnt ends were from prime brisket and maybe the sliced brisket is from a lesser quality beef. That would make sense because the brisket burnt ends were absolutely divine and had lots of crispy bark that I just love. I was not really impressed by the bologna burnt ends and the mustard sauce. The bologna burnt ends lacked smokiness for me and I just did not enjoy the taste of the mustard (I normally love all mustards). So, let me tell you about the fried okra. I could eat a whole pound of that.....with ranch dressing of course. The finest fried okra!!!!!! We also loved the homemade pickles. I will always order homemade pickles if the option is available. These were great and we sure enjoyed the leftover bites! I would like to leave a little review that I think my little grandson would have left if he could type, use a computer and know all of his words. "I was really fond of the bbq beef but the standouts to me would have to be the mac n cheese and the championship bbq beans. In fact, I loved the bbq beans so much and got so excited that I put my forehead in the beans that my mommy put on my little child's placemat. After that all of the exursions of eating my food, playing with my food, flirting with our waitress and showing off my baby blues; I started yawning. I am not sure if it was the meat fatigue or the carb coma. Mommy and Daddy thought it was time to leave at that point and I agreed to cooperate as my bbq bean juice dyed hair was getting pretty sticky." I would definitely come in again and maybe try some other items. I would definitely get the prime brisket burnt ends again. Oh yes, AND THE OKRA and whatever my grandson wants, of course!
