Reservations were made for a Saturday night. Upon entering immediately noticed the place was fully packed and loud. Tables were close to each other. No room to walk in between. I approached the booth to check in and 3 employees continued being busy. Food was ok and overpriced. Doesn't seem like I would want to dine in at again.

Definitely one of the best happy hours I've been to in DC in a while. A $9 mango crush and $5 chicken tenders with fries was a steal. My friend and I sat at the bar for a catch up chat over happy hour and the bartender was kind and attentive. The place wasn't overpacked for a Thursday happy hour on a nice day, but it was still lively and casual inside. Recommend for a place to catch up with a friend before stroking through the rest of Georgetown

Everything we tried was excellent. The short rib was rich and tender, the hot chicken sandwich was a standout, and the thin-cut fries are easily some of the best I've had in DC. The steak salad is a solid option if you want something lighter, and the gnocchi truly tastes handmade. Highly recommend starting with the pretzel and the bang bang shrimp. The space is cozy and usually pretty busy, but the servers are friendly and keep things moving. A great spot for a relaxed dinner that still delivers on quality.

Cute spot for lunch with a great menu--so many good options it was hard to choose. The salads especially looked popular and delicious! But we were hangry. Sliders- came a little well done. Blackened Chicken sandwich- my husband was happy with his choice BLT- I should have said easy on the mayo or mayo on the side. But it was ok. It comes with fries, they were nice and crispy. They have nice menu options so we would definitely return. Service is friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed too.

The food tasted good, but gave me severe diarrhea and vomiting. I went here with my girlfriend and she had stomach issues as well. Go here if you want yummy food with a trip to urgent care. Edit: My girlfriend got diarrhea and vomiting/nausea a day later after eating here

Stumbled across Billy Hicks after a day of exploring Georgetown. When I walked in, it was packed. There was a slight wait, but had the opportunity to hang out at the bar for no more than 20 minutes, before being seated on the patio. Shoutout to the server D'Shae! I asked about the sandwich selections and could not have been happier with his recommendations. I love when a server is attentive, but not bothersome. NOW... let's get into the food! All the items came out in a decent amount of time and made with care. The sandwich was delicious and filling (with a side), the balsamic glaze on the brussel sprouts was a perfect touch, and the french fries were fresh and covered in parmesan!

I stopped by Billy Hicks in Georgetown to try their espresso martini, that my coworker has been raving about. It's called the Study Buddy. I asked the bartender if it was made with freshly brewed espresso and she said yes. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but it didn't taste like brewed espresso. It did have a bold, rich, and smooth espresso like flavor. The bold aftertaste leaned more toward a coffee flavored liqueur. I also tried the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, which the bartender highly recommended. While I appreciated the suggestion, I didn't love the pairing with the drink. The flavors just didn't complement each other. The shrimp itself wasn't quite my style, but that's more personal taste than anything. Overall, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and I'd definitely return to try a full dining experience and explore more of their menu.

I've always walked past Billy Hicks, but decided to swing by for their drink options. I ordered a matcha latte with oatmilk and to be honest wasn't impressed. My beverage tasted primarily of milk and barely any matcha. Service was also quite slow. The only reason for the 4 stars was how good the menu looked and pastry options. I didn't grab any but I spoke to a few customers and they spoke highly of their food. When you walk in, you can smell how good some of the food is. I also really like the decor. Would definitely come back for a dine-in option.

I tried a lot of different foods during my visit here, but I only really liked the strawberry shortcake and a short rib quesadilla. My drinks were too sweet. There wasn't a good balance between alcohol and syrup. I did order salmon, but it was a little overcooked. Parking in this area is horrible considering it Georgetown.

Okay so I've been here one other time with my friend for her birthday (we loved it). But we had gone for lunch so I wanted to check this place out for dinner. Plus we had gone when they opened two days prior. So now they've been around the block since October... I was so excited to eat here and genuinely, the pretzel is probably the best appetizer I've ever had in my entire life. This pretzel was delicious, but the sauce. THE SAUCE. That was the star. It had some spicy element and was so cheesy and gooey. Ugh I wanted to put that on my burger but it was cleared with the plate when we finished. Maybe next time (peak indulgence). I'd come back just to eat this pretzel. The burger was also so delicious and very rich and filling. The bacon was cooked great and the burger was so juicy and thick. Omg. The fries were good. Ugh I loved it. But why am I at 4 stars then? I think the food is a 5/5, but our service was so bad. I can't remember our server's name, but it's probably because he was so inattentive. He didn't check on us at all and I wish we could've just tipped the busser instead. I can understand being so busy. But that's the thing. It wasn't that busy! After we sat down (and waited ten minutes), he took our drink order and then didn't return for 30 minutes! We had to flag him down to order our food because he just didn't care enough to check on us and would rather watch March Madness or chat with the bartender. Even after we finished eating and wanted to get a box to go, he was just not there and we had to wave over someone from the front. A restaurant this good should have 5 stars. The vibes are great, the food is fantastic, and I hope the next time we come, the service is better.

Super cute place in a busy area of Georgetown. I loved that you could get brunch and lunch (if you were seated at the right time). Even though we got there way before brunch ended, it took quite awhile to get seated, so we had to order from the lunch menu. We were seated 15 minutes past their brunch time and they wouldn't even serve an açaí bowl, which didn't require cooking. But, moving on. I loved the fried-bread like donut that they provide at the beginning of the meal. Those were so good. We opted for the chop chop salad, the pretzel and the carne asada tacos. Food was really good. The pretzel was the favorite. Everything came out fairly quickly considering they were busy. I would say I wish our waiter would have been a bit more pleasant and present. It's definitely worth checking out if you are in the area, but not sure I would go back.

Able to walk in and get a seat outside. You are above street level, which was nice. There weren't heaters but we were warm enough and they offered to move us inside when a table opened up. Service was attentive and well-paced. We ordered the chips and dip, grilled cheese, and fish tacos. It was fine. The fried green tomatoes on the grilled cheese were excellent. I'd return to try the brunch menu.

Decided to try somewhere new for my actual birthday and was so underwhelmed by my experience here!! The photos were misleading for sure :( Besides our server (isabelle/a?) disappearing for a good portion of the time we were seated, the food was not great. We tried the chips&dips which were mid at best, the "guac" was straight up mashed avocado with no seasoning or other veg added.. the fish tacos were just okay, and my steak was ordered medium and came very much well done and not seasoned?? I was annoyed at myself for trying this place instead of going somewhere familiar for my birthday. Best part of the entire meal were the Ozzy rolls I had to specifically ask for- and my server didn't seem to know what i meant until i described the circular bread...? Even though she gave it to another table no problem. Weird experience overall and maybe this place should stick to being a cafe + doing coffee related food. Look elsewhere if in the Georgetown area!

Makes business easier, but not as attractive for price point for customers. I'll remember to keep it to coffee and pastries from now on. Chicken pita was good, a bit heavy on the parsley but loved the dressing. Tuna sandwich was a hit. Pastries are always good. My pistachio latte was chewy bc it had grainy bits of pistachio in it.
